Title: Good headset, Windows default settings mess up sound quality.
Review: This headset has two speakers and uses the algorithmic method of creating virtual surround sound. In order to get the surround sound to work you have to use the dongle on on a system that can support 7.1 audio or use the Bluetooth or cable on a system that has built-in algorithmic processing for surround sound. If you are using the dongle on Windows you also have to turn off Windows sound settings for headset Home Theater Sound Enhancements and make sure that Windows Sonic for headphones is also off.If you are using the headset via the cable or Bluetooth you would have to turn on this type of system processing to get the surround sound effect.Basically these two Windows features attempt to create enhanced audio and virtual surround sound on regular headsets, and when you use them with the dongle you get double processed sound that doesn't work right. The positional audio is all messed up and the speakers sound tinny.I don't use game consoles but I suspect many systems may also do this type of processing and you may have to go into the sound settings to turn it off if you try and use the dongle on a console.Once you turn off these features and rely on the dongle to do its own processing it sounds much better and the positional audio works like a charm. Once I turned off those settings I played several games and I could hear which direction enemies were coming from in any game that supports surround sound. Music went from sounding tinny and muddled to sounding good. These are nowhere near a good set of studio monitors, but they have decent sound for listening to music as well as gaming. The range is good using the dongle, I can walk from my living room to my bathroom and kitchen and still get sound without interruption. My kitchen is about 25 ft away with a wall and a refrigerator between me and the computer.Battery life on this headset is phenomenal. and you can connect it to the dongle and to a second device via Bluetooth, double tap the power button and it will swap between the USB dongle and Bluetooth. it has a voice audio cue telling you which setting it's currently on.The earpieces fully cup the ears, they do not rest on the ears. they're very comfortable for prolonged usage if adjusted correctly.Pressing the microphone off button gives you an audio cue telling you whether the microphone is on or off. I like that because it lets me know for sure whether or not the microphone is off. The ones with the rotating switches where you rotate the microphone up to turn it off tend to wear out and malfunction.I have not tested the microphone with people so I cannot confirm whether or not it's muddled or clear. I mostly do single player gaming so it's a useless feature for me, I have tested it with Google voice typing and it works properly with that but from what other reviews say talking to people may be an issue with this headset unless you can adjust the microphone gain in the operating system, The default setting is apparently very sensitive and picks up every bit of background noise.Considering these headsets cost me 30 bucks, I have to say they're utterly awesome value for the money. They seem reasonably durable, If they fall apart or quit working I will update this review. If you are a serious tournament gamer or audiophile you might want to spend more money on a brand name headset. But if you are a casual gamer who just wants something that works well without breaking the bank, this is the headset for you. It has all the features at a dirt cheap price. You could buy four to eight of these headsets for the cost of one brand name gaming headset, and from the reviews on those they regularly fall apart in 6 months to a year.Gaming grade gear is routinely designed for maximum performance without regards to durability. Basically professional gamers buy it to use for one tournament season and toss it into trash.Basically even if this thing only lasts 6 months you're money ahead compared to a brand name set. and from how it looks and feels I think it's going to last longer than that.

Title: Helped stop PS5 mic echo.
Review: I've got a group of gamer friends that I occasionally chat with on PlayStation chat party. On my PS4, I just used a cheap, corded headset that had a TRRS plug that plugged into the PS4's controller.Late last December, I half-heartedly ordered a PS5 via Sony's website and to my shock, received a PS5 a few days later. The console's been great, but the most prevalent issue I've had with it is the controller's set up.The PS5's controller has a built-in microphone and speaker. For one, I am hard of hearing so my friends' voices through the tiny, tinny sounding speaker are barely audible to me. For another, every friend in chat has bluntly commanded me to stop using the controller's mic; I sound terrible through it, apparently.I simply went back to my old, corded headset. However, friends regularly balked that I had an annoying "echo" caused by the PS5. The issue is, when you disable the PS5's controller mic, you disable the input ring of the PS5's TRRS jack. In other words, disable the controller mic, you disable the corded headset mic as well. So, I couldn't eliminate my pesky echo via software settings.I decided to splurge and get a cordless headset. Initially, I wanted a headset that didn't need a Bluetooth dongle, seeing as the PS5 supports Bluetooth devices........So long as said devices aren't speakers or microphones. So, yeah, I wound up needing the dongle that this headset comes with. Having gone through all this, I can say that this headset has easily paired to the dongle every time I've used it, and I get clear audio from my PS5.Battery life seems respectable, though I am very cautious about keeping it charged, so I can't say I've pushed the limits in this regard. Finally, yes, this headset did away with my echo issue. Although... This headset has caused confusion among me and my friends. To me, my friends voices sound a tiny bit different. Our clan leader's voice now has a slightly gravelly undertone to me that I haven't heard before. A female friend's voice sounds a little more squeaky than usual. And my British friend that has a very deep voice now sounds even more bassy to me. All of these friends I've mentioned, among others, all say that I sound differently. None of them will specify how though and all of them claim there's a slight reverb to my voice now. So, none of us are able to discern if this headset's speakers and mic are providing higher or lower quality audio to all of us.Despite all this, my friends seem relieved that my echo is gone now, and while I'm not a fan of plugging in the dongle, powering this headset up, and waiting for them to pair, I very much enjoy not being tethered to my controller, so it's a tradeoff I'm willing to take. Finally, I have a very elliptically shaped head (I shave my head, that's how I know) and my ears, as far as I'm concerned, are properly proportioned to my head. I have no fitment issues with this headset and can comfortably wear it for hours on end.So, if you want a wireless, over the ear headset, be it for a reason like mine or other and don't want to spend hundreds on a name brand set, this one seems to be a good value.

Title: Works amazing but last mediocre
Review: It worked great, battery life was good. It was comfy I could hear 360. Charging was fast. I could charge for 30 minutes and it would last 3 hours. Cord length was bad if you’re going wired. I’d recommend strictly going wireless and charge it. It barely worked after a year and a half of using it though. Suddenly it stopped working I bought a new pair but overall decided not to use it. Setting up was easy volume control was nice design was great. Mic worked really well but after a year it sounded really bad and when the headphones are 10% or low it would sound robotic and you would have to reconnect it

Review: This is a good headset. It is comfortable and fits well. The only improvement I would suggest is a battery gauge and a charging indicator light.
