Title: SOOO MUCH BETTER THEN THE NO NAME WIFI EXTENDER I BOUGHT FIRST.
Review: I bought this to replace a cheap, no-name WiFi extender that i bought based off decent reviews. Brand CUU 2022 newest WiFi extender booster repeater 4000 sqft- blah blah blah. It was $2 more than this, the size of a pack of cigarettes, single band (2.4G) and only rated for 300mbps. Iâm betting it came right from T e m u or A L I E X P R E S S and someone stateside just ordered a bunch and doubled the price. That was a mistake. The ONLY job the extender needed to do was boost the signal for an Amazon Firestick thatâs plugged into the back of my old tv that i brought into the garage i dispatch out of for work. I work for a large utility company, and we garage out of a building thats an old converted airplane hanger. We sit around in the morning waiting for our work, and then again at the end of the day when we do or timesheets - so we wanted to be able to watch the news or whatever else during that downtime while we are waiting. The router is only about 70 feet away, but a hallway also separates it from the TV, so the WiFi signal has to make it through 2 concrete walls. Without an extender the tv would constantly buffer, just stall and lose signal, or the image quality was horrible. Basically it was unusable. We were unable to watch anything without it constantly having issues every few minutes. So not being a tech guy - i bought (what i thought was) a real cheap extender figuring anything would be good enough for ONE or TWO device connections. The difference in build quality and performance (so far) between my first purchase and this model is huge - and this was $2 cheaper. First off this is dual band, so it does both 2.4G and 5G bands. The 1200mbps rating (from what i understand) is the combined signal capacity, but you wont actually get that since you have to pick one of the two network signals its going to provide you with. So to be clear - It actually gives you two different WiFi networks you can connect to (maybe thats beneficial to someone, i have no idea). I know enough to know the 5G should be better. I installed this via TPâs tether app (i think thats what it was called), and even for someone like me, it was painless. The instructions are very clear and self explanatory once you launch the app. All you need is your routerâs password, and obviously the name of its WiFi signal. After install and connection, youll get two more new WiFi signals that you can pick from to connect onto. One will say EXT on the end, and the other will say EXT 5G or something similar. I picked the 5G to connect my phone and Firestick to. Hooking up the Firestick to this was just as easy. Whats cool with the app, is you can even monitor and control WHO and WHAT is connected to the extenders network. So if someone else jumps onto it, you can block that device. Itâll show you how many devices are connected to each band (they show up as 2 different WiFi signals on the app), what type of devices they are, and like i said - will let you block individual devices from being able to use the new WiFi signal. If nothing else itll be fun to mess with the other 20 guys i work with if they figure out how to connect to it lol. I can literally sit there with my phone and turn their WiFi connection on and off if they jump onto this. But yea, what you get with this (a name brand unit from what Iâm told) is leaps and bounds above what i just returned, and it was basically the same price. I just hooked it up today, so its still early - but so far the Firestick is working fine on a 4K tv. Picture quality is great, nothing is too slow to load, and most important the Firestick hasnt been buffering or had the signal stall out at all. And remember - its extending a signal thats behind 2 cinder block walls with heavy metal doors - so probably a bit more than youll have to deal with in a house. If it starts giving me any issues - i will report back. So far Iâm much happier with this then the last purchase. So happy i didnt give up and just keep what i first bought. Its hard these days will all the fake reviews for products - and I promise you this is a completely honest and no BS review. Not that i tried them all, but youll have 3 different options on how to connect this to your router. I suggest scanning the QR code in the instructions, downloading the app and installing it that way. If nothing else itâs pretty cool to actually be able to SEE who and what is connected to your new signal.Edit: Ok so its been about a month now. My opinion of this product has not changed. The Firestick/tv has experienced some VERY minor buffering very infrequently, mostly in the morning when everyone is in the building (probably peak traffic for our router) so for me to claim it âneverâ buffers wouldnât be accurate. Its most definitely not something that I would even attempt or consider addressing given my particular situation and conditions. Its not like Iâm using this for anything important, i just wanna watch tv instead of listen to people complain about everything they can think of. Our router is running half of our construction garage with close to a dozen desktops in different rooms just on our side of the building. Every tech has company tablets, so thats at least 20 guys just in my group alone that are splitting their signals between cell service and WiFi when they are close enough to jump on it. Just making the point our router is already handling way more stuff then anyone would experience at home, so some VERY infrequent hiccup on the Tv is easily forgiven in my eyes under these circumstances. The day after thanksgiving we only had about 5 guys in, and we were held back in the garage all day just to respond to any emergency call that might come in. I streamed the News, then John Wick 1 and 2 off Tubi with the Firestick and it was rock solid the entire time. I would not hesitate for a second if i needed one of these for home.

Title: For the price I think I got good value. This has eliminated most "dead zones" in my 2500 sq.ft. home
Review: My Netgear Nighhawk router is in our home office on the 2nd floor of a split level. I installed this WiFi Extender in the ground floor family room (approximately below our home office). I did tests using both my Linux laptop and my Android phone to insure I could connect to our home WiFi network on both the first floor and the ground floor. I tested both 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz bands. Obviously it would be very time consuming to test with both devices and both bands throughout my home. I was mainly concerned with the Family Room coverage which had been spotty. I also don't know if the set-up of the extender will survive across a power outage. The only borderline negative comment I have is that the paper instructions provide a variety of approaches for set-up. Also at one point it said to position the extender in an outlet that would point the antennas up saying it was for safety. As far as I can tell the plug is NOT polarized so I don't know what that's about. There was a lot of "check for blinking" or "check for solid" lights. It also calls for use of the Tether app which worked reasonably well. It also says you can use a laptop and go to a local network URL that (I assume) the extender is presenting.

Title: It works well, but didnât expect a secondary Wi-Fi commection
Review: Iâm not a tech geek, just to get it out there first and foremost. We moved into a fairly modern apartment that came with built-in WiFi. Problem was that the router is in the living room and my office desk, computer, and printer are in a room about 25 feet and 90° around a corner from it. My computer wouldnât pick up the Wi-Fi at all and my printer did just barely.I needed this booster to get Wi-Fi into that room, and it works very well to do that. Setup was straight forward and easy. The only thing I didnât expect was that the booster sends out its own Wi-Fi signal that you have to name, and it has an _EXT suffix. Also, since my printer is now on the _EXT signal, in order for me to send a document to my printer from my phone, I have make sure my phone is on the _EXT Wi-Fi as well, otherwise they wonât communicate.Outside of that, itâs great!

Title: Awesome!
Review: Even though my router (in the basement) is pretty much directly below the room where I need it the most, for some reason my signal was always fluxing in and out, and while the TV could just about cope with it, Teams calls with video could not. I just started a remote job, so that was not going to be at all acceptable. I got this extender (selected because it was on sale for $22, so how could I go wrong even though I really have no idea what I'm doing), plugged it into the nearest outlet (literally the lowest effort I could possibly have made), took about five minutes to set it up through the very easy app, and holy cow, it's amazing! I've been on Teams all morning, and have had full signal strength the entire time, no fluctuation in signal strength at all. Definitely recommend, and just sorry I didn't get one sooner.

Title: It works
Review: I have ring cameras at my front and back doors and was always having trouble with the back door camera until for some reason it lost it's connection permanently. I decided to give this extender a try since I've had some experience with kasa and tp-link and have always been happy with them. This extender solved that problem and has also greatly improved the picture quality on not only the back door camera but the front door also. Setup was super easy and I'm not at all tech savy. I'm very happy with this extender and I would recommend it if you are in need of one.

Review: After installing a brand new TP-Link AXE75 (AX5400) WiFi 6E wireless router, I will still getting weak spots in the some rooms. I was hoping this would fix the issues with my Linksys Atlas mesh wireless network, which had good range but devices kept binding to a weaker node and wasn't switching nodes seamlessly. After doing some research, I bought this TP-Link RE315 Range Extender because it could work with my router using TP-Link's OneMesh/EasyMesh system. I was a bit skeptical given my bad experience with the Linksys mesh system. Setup was incredibly simple, I plugged the RE315 into a power outlet that was more central in my home, on a different floor from router. Pressed the WPS buttons on both the router and range extender and after a couple of minutes, they paired and the RE315 extended my 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. Using my router's web interface, I could see the RE315 as a "Mesh device".To test, I used my Pixel 6 and the WiFi Analyzer app on 5GHz network. With this phone on my previous Linksys Atlas mesh, it would bind to a node but wouldn't switch to the stronger node, even if I was 1 ft away from it. I had to turn off WiFi and turn it back on before it bound to nearest node. With my TP-Link EasyMesh setup, I could see my Pixel 6 was connected to the AXE75 router. As a moved downstairs and was a few feet away from RE315, I saw the connection switch to the range extender. It was completely seamless and I didn't lose the WiFi network, it just switched. With WiFi Analyzer, I could tell which network device I was connected to based on Mac address and IP. Onto an Internet speed test. Connected upstairs to AXE75, I was getting 600 Mbps down, 300 Mbps up on and 1Gbps Internet. Connected to the RE315, I was only getting 90 Mbps down, 60 Mbps up, which seems slow but I was expecting that with range extender as half the bandwidth is connecting to the main router, while other half is for clients. This is also a WiFi 5 AC1200 ranger extender, compared to my WiFi 6E AX router. So I was pleased with this performance since the area I was getting the dead spots in, I was now seeing full strength with good speeds, which is much better than dropped connections I was getting not using the range extender, or with my previous Linksys Atlas mesh.

Review: My router is separated from my office PC by two solid concrete walls. Using a rented Rogers signal booster, I was getting frequent internet dropouts and "Low Signal" warnings on Zoom calls. After switching to this TP-Link booster (RE315), no problem. It almost doubled my previous connection speed.Only problem was initial setup. After 2 hours of trying, I was about to give up and return the TP-Link. Then called for help from tech support. They finally explained the CORRECT procedure (which is NOT fully explained in the manual). Except for that, I'd have given 5 stars for performance improvement.
