Renowned editor Lawrence Harbison brings together approximately one hundred never-before-published women’s monologues for actors to use for auditions and in class, all from recently produced plays. The selections include monologues from plays by both well-known playwrights such as Don Nigro, Saviana Stanescu, and Len Jenkin and future stars such as Lia Romeo, Steven Hayet, Lori Fischer, Will Arbery, and Carey Crim.
There are terrific comic and dramatic pieces, and all represent the best of contemporary playwriting. This collection is an invaluable resource for aspiring actors hoping to ace their auditions and impress directors and teachers with contemporary pieces.

Title: Great Diverse Selection of Monologues
Review: This book has a very useful collection of newer monologues. I am a teacher, so I am always looking for new work for my students. Some collections have very overused monologues, while others have pieces that are confusing or unusable because of extreme amounts of profanity. This collection is very useful, since there are monologues for women of diverse ages, races, and social circumstances. Definitely a good purchase!

Title: An Excellent Monologue Resource!
Review: Came in great condition. Has an excellent range of contemporary monologues for women of all ages. Has a minor spelling error on the table of contents but is corrected on the actual monologue page. A perfect gift for actors looking for new material!
