Title: Workouts that work
Review: I've been working out with Sarah Fuhrman as a coach for the past 6 1/2 years using some of the same workouts in the book. My strength and cardio ability has gradually increased. It makes everything else I have to do in my everyday life, from shoveling and hauling top soil to moving furniture, so much easier. You don't have to look like the young, buff models in the book to benefit from the workouts. I'm 68 and our group of women that she coaches range in age from 50's to 80's. Thanks to Sarah's coaching and encouragement, we are all fit and strong.

Title: So you bought an erg in quarantine... now what?
Review: This is a great book for folks who want to use the erg but might not know what workouts are right for their level and goals. It also avoids some of the typical rowing jargon that can be off-putting to fitness rowers or erg athletes.Sarah Fuhrmann has some old favorites and some out-of-the-box workouts in here (I will definitely be adding the Bodyweight Whirlybird into programming with new youth rowers). Wether you are a seasoned masters rower, a learn-to-rower, or a competitive athlete, this book has a lot of great workouts.

Title: Not what I was looking for.
Review: I was hoping to get more explanation on technique, resistance as I am learning. The workouts seem ok but don't really address fitness level or explain. I probably should have downloaded a sample before purchasing.

Review: If you are into Crossfit then this might be a book for you but it is not for me. The rowing only workouts are good but the workouts that combine intervals of rowing with intervals of off rower exercises seems to be very dated. They are endless combinations of burpees and sit-ups. Many of the workouts are for a gym setting as they require either space or specialized equipment like rope climbs, pull up bars, battle ropes and tractor tires. For the exercises there are no explanations â just a list. It looks like they just took a bunch of Crossfit workouts of the day (WOD) and put them into a book form. I probably would only consider 30 or so of these workouts â the rest I will ignore.
