Title: This book was a reality check for me
Review: I hate to admit that I have been lifting weights since 2016. I have made some muscle or maybe just kept some muscle over those years. Not enough for anyone but me to actually notice unless I walk around with my muscles flexed. I have read several books, followed several workout plans but still feel like I am not making the progress I expected. This book has been a real eye opener. It explains the importance of following the basic principles of building muscles. Quite frankly, I learned that I was pretty much doing it all wrong from the way I was eating to the way I was lifting ( not enough sets, not heavy enough, and not going to failure) I also like the sample workout that was a bonus from the book. I feel excited to work out again. I would give this book ten stars if I could.

Title: Paid to be Insulted
Review: The first 14 pages are a sales pitch followed by an insult, which comes with the statement, "if you're offended so be it." I don't know if there's anything useful after that because I promptly initiated a refund for this book. I was looking for science and information, not self-help or insults as I find neither helpful. I'll keep looking for a book that contains the information I'd like to learn.

Title: Basic info overhyped by paid reviews
Review: The kindle version is not even worth 1 cent all the info is general knowledge and the authors âbig secretâ is the overload principle and taking every set to failure. Doing this will release high levels of cortisol unless your juicing and the author states that training at this level will garner you more muscle growth. Amazon needs to get rid of paid posters overhyping junk.

Review: I have re-read this book about four times and learnt something new to improve my training. Explains how as long as you follow muscle building principles any training method will build muscle. The use of amrap is brilliant for bodyweight exercises rather then harder variations to hit muscle failure.
