Title: Nice modem for XFinity X2 customers
Review: I've been using this modem now in the north hills are of Pittsburgh, and I've never once had a problem with the modem and a Deco mesh network as the router. The modem is connected via 2.5gbps ethernet to the Deco BE85 router which has 2 2.5gbps ethernet ports, and the LAN port of the BE85 is connected to a 2.5gbps switch which my desktops are connected to, including a recently built 14th gen i9 system that I took the screenshot of this speedtest from. This modem has no trouble hitting the maximum speed of the X2 service and has always worked flawlessly. At the rental cost of the xFI gateway which is $15/month, this modem will pay for itself in about just about 10 months. Money well spent. Although there is no option for this particular Hitron modem in the Xfinity app, setup was painless and the modem paired easily and without any phone calls to Xfinity to setup.Very happy with this purchase that will easily pay for itself.Edit (8/3/2024): As of the last few days, Xfinity has rolled out speed upgrades to the PGH North Hills area. I am now getting 2340/350 speeds from speedtest.net from my Coda56 on the Xfinity X2 plan with no changes to my equipment. Pretty incredible, IMO. This modem can do 450mbps on upload as rated by the DOCSIS 3.1 standard, so there is still room for improvement, however an extra 100mbps is a 50% improvement over the 240mbps I was getting previously, so NO COMPLAINTS Comcast. Thanks so much!

Title: Straightforward Setup, Good Performance
Review: I bought this to replace an aging cable modem for Comcast Xfinity that only supported speeds up to 300 Mbps or so. Primary reasons for purchasing this were performance and decent reviews. A secondary consideration is that Comcast supports this in their mobile app, so I was able to use my camera in the app to scan a code to tell Comcast the model and serial number, tell it to activate the modem, and in a few minutes was using the new modem with no need to wait for tech support. Tested with an ethernet connection from a computer to my router, and saw more than the speed I am currently paying Comcast for.Notes: When I first tried to activate the modem in the app, the "progress spinner" kept telling me to wait, and I saw the lights on the modem going through their startup sequence, but never got a "success" message. Router was showing no internet connection. Eventually canceled and retried the activation. Successful almost immediately. Not sure what glitched the first time around. Then after activation, Comcast said they needed to restart the modem (again!) and every cable modem I've ever had seems to take a long time to restart (watched pots never boil), but since that process finished, this modem has been rock solid. Two weeks so far. I'll update if there are problems.

Title: faster download AND upload
Review: This is one of the best purchases I have made. the download works well but the biggest difference is the upload speed. Mine went from 24 to 100 with this change. Why is upload important? You can read about it but I have wireless NAT in my house and it shortens the back up time by 5x! 1000 pictures (2-3mb each) backed up in 5 mins. Amazing speed. One of the cheapest 3.1 and fastest upload I have ever seen. Recommend it 120%!Update: the same day I posted above review, it started to drop connection. To ensure it's not the ISP, I plug and activate the old modem and it works perfectly. Returning this one since I need steady connection.

Title: Great but...
Review: So I decided to give the CODA56 another shot. I "upgraded" from the Netgear CAX80. Comcast app makes it easy to change the modem over to the new one. So that was painless. The modem lacks a UI unless you have a very particular setup and you know what you are doing. Otherwise you have to directly connect the modem to your computer and do some fine tweaking with it to bring up the UI. Not ideal. But thats for us nerds. Everyday user it should be A OK to use and connect to a router. It works flawlessly thus far. Now Comcast says the CODA56 is "mid-split" ready as well as my CAX80. Im very doubtful that my $450 CAX80 can work on mid-split. Why? Well the CAX80 seems to be capable of doing uploads at least to 40MBPS, I can confirm this when I was on Comcast's Gigabit Plus plan. On Comcast's 300 MBPS plan (it really is crazy that you really dont need a gigabit down unless you have literally 50 + devices online at the same time watching a 4k movie, 300 will literally work for pretty much anyone) my CAX80 caped about 22 MBPS. Now this is where the CODA56 shines. As you can see on the screenshot, I'm on the 300 MBPS Comcast plan, but I am no where near 20MBPS upload I'm in the 110's! Having a ample upload can actually impact your internet for a "faster" experience, because as much as the download is important, upload and also important because even though most of the work is being done on the download end, your devices still need to communicate out to let the server know where you are in the process. I have noticed a slight increase in webpage loading. It was almost instant before, but now its less then that. And if you do have multiple devices on at the same time this will help compensate and make your experience faster. I wonder what the upload is on the Gigabit plus plan, ill be honest, I'm happy with the 115 up. Remember this modem is only a modem and NOT a router, you will need that separately. My CAX80 was a combo Modem/Router. But my wireless interference in my area is terrible and there's no room on the 2.4 Ghz and the 5GHz to operate even close to these speeds. So I have this modem with a ZenWifi ET8 mesh. Both units are wired and all my wireless devices are 6E (except my smart thermostat, it can only 5Ghz, but its not far from the unit and it doesn't need speed to work), man I get the FULL speed of my internet on these devices. Its AWESOME!Not sure if you have "mid-split?" Just goto Comcast online and see if you can get the 2000 Mbps plan. If so you got mid-split. Heck I would even recommend just buying the modem to get the faster upload then what you are probably getting now.

Review: The modem is for us market. Major obstacles of my trial to make it working:- only ISP can update firmware- coudn't even enter setup page( ISP =Vodafone - didn't recognize modem)-it has American plug, but work on eu power after adapter usedI suggest Amazon filters out merchandise not applicable for the target markets.
