This is a white-knuckle ride of a novel that will leave you wanting to discuss with a reading buddy or book club. —Lauren Edmondson, author of LADIES OF THE HOUSE

Cheaters don't fall far from the tree.

ONE FAMILY. THREE WOMEN. BIG SECRETS.

Married college professors Christine and Joss thought they had it all: jobs they love, a beloved daughter, and most of all, each other—that is, until Joss’s research pulls her further and further away, and strange bouts of forgetfulness put a wedge between them. Lonely and seeking the emotional connection she once shared with her wife, Christine forms a friendship with a student that quickly walks the line of right and wrong.

Eighteen-year-old Abbie is an outcast desperate to fit in. When the most popular girl on campus suddenly befriends her, Abbie can’t believe her luck. But the friendship comes with strings attached—stealing exams from her mom’s computer for the in-crowd.

Soon, both mom and daughter are in deep with their deepest desires on the line. When their secret lives collide, their indiscretions culminate in a catastrophe no one saw coming.

With an eye for suspense perfectly blended with the tender mystery of human connection, BEST YEARS OF YOUR LIFE explores the consequences of bad decisions and the tension between desire and dignity.

Review: I've been waiting for this book since I preordered it back in July and it truly didn't disappoint. I loved the multiple point of views, especially that of Joss, as well as the relatability and believability of the character's motivations and decisions they ultimately make. It's a book you NEED to keep reading to find out what happens next! Highly recommend.

This novel is a perfect combination of gripping plot that made me want to devour it in one sitting and moving writing, which urged me to savor every last line. It was equally shocking, heartwarming, and gut-wrenching. Best Years truly urges us to consider, “where do we go from here?” I cannot wait to read Jen Craven’s next title!

Title: Intriguing tale of the consequences of bad decisions.
Review: Although in a committed relationship, Christine allows herself to get pulled into a forbidden tryst with a student after her wife, Joss’s extended emotional absence from their marriage as a result of her immersion in a research project. As the affair progresses, tragedy strikes the family as Joss is stricken with a devastating diagnosis and their daughter enters into a dangerous scheme to raise money for her treatment. Ms. Craven’s best work yet!

Title:
Review: I was invested right from the first chapter. This page turner was hard to put down but travel and jet lag won out until I picked it up again a few weeks later. Then I raced through the second half of the novel in one day. The characters are three real to life women who find themselves in morally questionable situations. Life can be messy sometimes yet it can also be forgiving and beautiful. Those are the moments we hang onto and this novel does a fabulous job of reminding us of that.
