Title: So much detail!!!
Review: What a great ceratopsian specimen!! The attention to detail from the overall color pattern to the tiniest osteoderm is exquisite! The model can also be posed on four legs or triangulated on back legs & tail for a standing position. He is constructed from a material that is durable but also a little flexible so he will be great as either a collectible or a toy. I bought another Papo model on eBay recently and Iâm really impressed by the quality of their line of products and reasonable price. Very highly recommended! Love it!!

Title: Hefty figure with great detail
Review: Figure is solid and sizeable. Great detail in the molding as well as the meticulous care in the hand painted details. Paint scheme uses a variety of colors to produce the final effect. Figure is molded in a lifelike action pose adding to my overall enjoyment of the piece. One of the best looking figures in my modest collection.

Title: Great Model Dinosaurs (Not for Rough Play)
Review: I've bought the entire Papo T. rex family: the green walking rex, a more upright brown rex and two baby rexes: one green and one brown. Some paleontologists have speculated that females might have been larger than males, so I named the larger brown rex "Sue" after the famous fossil and the slightly smaller green rex "Fang" because he has a bottom tooth that sticks out. This tooth (had he been a full-sized, living dinosaur) would have created a space between his teeth and a "slot" in his premaxilla similar to the fourth tooth slot found on the jaws of crocodiles. "Fang" has a space between his teeth and a slot in his upper jaw for his crooked bottom tooth. Now that's a toy with personality! All of the models are fairly accurate and very detailed with good paint jobs, which is pretty amazing considering they are mass-produced.I have only a few minor complaints / suggestions:1) The green "running" T. rex looks like he's walking, not running. Big whoop. You can decide for yourself by looking at the picture.2) I am actually surprised at how well my walking T. rex balances. Maybe I just got a good one or balance is less of an issue for me. Still, a little one might get frustrated by how easily the walking dino topples.3) The paint job on Papo dinos seems to scratch more easily than the paint job on Schleich dinos. (Schleich comes in second behind Papo when it comes to detail and believable paint jobs.) I didn't notice this right away because my dinos sit on a shelf and serve as models for my paleo art. My five-year-old cousin, on the other hand, is pretty rough on her dinos. I gave her a brown Papo T. rex on a Friday and by the end of the weekend she had managed to scuff him up so the underlying pinkish-brown color showed through on his eyebrows, nose and other vulnerable body parts.4) T. rex probably had at least a few feathers for display purposes. This would not detract from their fearsomeness. It's about time toys started reflecting what we know about dinosaurs.5) Almost every single toy gets the hand orientation wrong. The arms of most theropod dinosaurs would have functioned similarly to wings. The elbows and wrists had hinge joints that were more or less parallel to one other. With hands held out straight in front, the palms would have faced one another.6) The green T. rex totally needs a small prey item to dangle from his mouth. When the Papo T. rex family is together, the babies are looking up, begging for food. The upright T. rex guards the babies while the green T. rex brings food. Therefore, the green rex *needs* a detailed, contemporaneous prey item that fits perfectly in his teeth! 😉 Papo, please make one for him.7) The jaw on the walking T. rex is floppier than the jaws on the other T. rexes. It only has two distinct positions: all the way open and completely shut. The jaw is held shut by the crooked bottom fang / upper jaw slot, so it flops open quite easily. The mouths on the other T. rexes are much more posable.8) Baby T. rexes probably had a lighter build and a layer of fluffy down.Other than that, these toys are great, both for collectors and for somewhat careful children whose dinosaur battles don't get too rough.

Title: Excellent quality, but one small(ish) issue
Review: I had the green version of this awesome figure years ago, so I knew what to expect in terms of the sculpt quality. When I purchased that one around 2005 or 2006, I loved it because of the Jurassic Park T-Rex accurate likeness, but, for the same reason, I did not like the green color scheme. At the time, I wished that the paint had been closer to the Jurassic Park tyrannosaurus coloring as well, but since there wasn't that option, I went ahead and bought what was available.I lost that green one during a move, and had had my eye on this version for a while now. Upon receiving it, I recognized the great quality and detail. The quality and detail of the sculpt is excellent, and I love the Jurassic Park T-Rex likeness. I wish that there had been a Jurasic Park T-Rex toy this accurate and awesome when the original Jurassic Park movie came out when I was a kid. I would have loved to have had it. The only issue here is that I would prefer it if the pose wasn't one in which the T-Rex is standing upright with its tail on the ground like antiquated interpretations of the animal. I would prefer it if the body was more horizontal, with the tail straight out behind its body, but it is what it is.Overall, the paint is very good for a mass produced toy, with good variation in color, as well as good detail. However, this is where the "one small(ish) issue" mentioned in the review title comes in. As can be seen in one of the other reviewer's review pictures, there is a sharp contrast in color between the shin area on the figure's lower legs, and the feet. The entire lower leg is mostly a light tan color, from the knee to the top of the foot, but the top of the foot abruptly becomes dark brown. There is a light kind of brushing over with the dark brown color on part of the front of the lower leg, but it is applied so lightly/sparingly, that it is barely visible, whereas the fronts of the feet are nearly solid dark brown. I'm sure that the dark brown of the feet is supposed to be matched - and blended into - a dark brown color on the fronts of the lower legs, and that this was a production error. The lower legs and the feet are probably separate pieces that are colored separately during production and then fused together. They probably have or had some number of incorrectly painted legs that ended up being attached to these solid brown feet. The photos in which this can be seen are from a pretty recent review from this year (2020). Other reviewers' photos from previous years don't seem to show this issue, which leads me to believe that at least some of the more recent ones out there have this defect while earlier batches don't.Overall, this is still a great figure, but do be aware of the paint issue if that kind of thing is likely to bother you.
