Title: Easy to bait and effective
Review: Works exactly as intended. The through-tunnel design makes it easy to set up at an entrance hole or along a rodent pathway. I set one trap in front of a gap in the shed and caught the large rat that was trying to make a home under the mower. Bait cup is easy to remove from underneath to fill. Seems to work ok without bait as well, as I had one set up along a wall where a rat had been seen and unintentionally caught a chipmunk. Appears to make a clean kill and easy to reset. Much easier to work with than a traditional rat trap, and the tunnel keeps them centered on the trigger so they don't get caught in a bad way.

Title: They work really, really well
Review: I am giving these traps five stars. I have had a couple of issues, but I really think it’s because rats are wily little creatures, not because the traps have anything wrong with them. I purchased the four pack, and even if you think you only have one rat, I would suggest doing the same. Because if you’re like me, you may quickly find out that your rat problem is bigger than you thought.Baiting the traps is simple, and you can refill the bait safely even when the traps are set. The rats at our house were coming up onto our lanai/deck looking for dog food, and I have found that the best bait for them is peanut butter with a couple of little dog kibbles stuck into it.The directions for setting the traps are clear and not difficult to follow. I would caution that when you feel the trap click as you’re setting it, make sure it’s FULLY clicked before you take your hand away. Take your hand away slowly, just in case it wants to spring back open. I use the side of my hand to push the lever down now, because the first time I did it, it did not click all the way, sprang back up and my finger got a little pinched. But at no point is your hand going to be anywhere near the actual jaws of the trap. That is safely hidden inside the unit. The instructions do not explain at all how to release a dead rat once it is caught. It’s probably obvious, but I did have a few moments of hesitation when I had to do it the first time. It’s simple though, you just squeeze the lever down (you will know what I mean when you have to do it) and turn the unit on its end, and the rat will slide out.The problems I’ve had have to do with small/juvenile rats. Sometimes they will make it all the way into the trap (I.e., between the jaws) before it is set off, and in that case it is possible for them to survive. Unfortunately, I’ve had a couple of instances of rats that were injured rather than killed. Being a person who loves animals and already feels some guilt about the whole process, that is difficult for me to deal with. Also, I have had instances with two and once even three rats getting caught in the same trap at the same time. And in that case, the second or third rat sometimes does not get killed. Again, not super pleasant. But also not really a flaw with the traps. I’ve had these traps for about a month now, and I think I’ve caught 15 or 16 rats. Only two of them have not been dead. And none of them have been gross – no blood or anything like that.So overall, I do highly recommend these traps. You may experience a few issues, but the safety and ease of use for me make them well worth the money and small inconveniences.

Title: Doesn’t work on adult squirrels
Review: Like:It is unlikely to harm pets or children as long as they are not attracted by the bait and sticking their paws or fingers into it from the sides to figure out what it is.Sturdy enough to put outside and keeps the rain off of your bait. Can be reused if you can get the rodent out of your trap…(I have had to throw the trap away because the rodent was really stuck in there)Dislike:Kind of a challenge to set - probably because it’s much stronger than a mouse trap would be.Does not really work on squirrels because it is not large enough for adults.————————-You can’t reset it just with your foot you have to also hold the trap steady while you are pressing down the lever. Or you can squeeze it if your hand is strong enough while you’re holding it in the other hand.Seems pretty effective on chipmunks. I caught two within a week. Also caught a rat.And a half grown squirrel.Be aware that sometimes these rodents get stuck in the trap so you might need to get a disposable glove to pull it out, unless you want to sacrifice your trap. (especially something kind of big like a half grown squirrel or a really fat chipmunk)I’m skeptical about how easy it is to clean it from the gory residue that is bound to be in these after repeated use- You can’t disassemble the trap and if you’re squirting water into it, you’re going to spring the trap. So it’s gonna be impossible to really clean the killing mechanism.Overall more satisfied with us than other types of trap.It has gotten me relief from the constant destruction of my patio plants, And ruining of my container vegetables .Whereas non-lethal methods were ineffective.(And relocating these pests is not actually kind because other animals in the area of the same species are going to attack them as intruders)

Title: Rodent Baited and Sent to Rodent Heaven!
Review: I have a automotive shop and recently I have had my motion alarm sensor going off in the middle of the night. I didn't know what was up. A few days later In the middle of the day I saw a mouse/rat going up the wall into my drop ceiling in the back corner of the shop. I started looking for solutions and I was skeptical about this but I ordered this twin pack to see if it would take care of my problem. I received it the next day and followed the Simple instructions. I used peanut butter in the bait cup and set the trap against the wall. I did two of them, one on each side of the shop. With the trap set up, a few hours later I was talking to a friend of mine about the situation in the front of the shop and I, as we were talking about it, looked over at the area where i saw this thing the other day and at that exact moment I just happened to see it come down from the ceiling and watched how it was coming in and down to the floor. It was hanging right by the trap for a good 10 minutes when Bam it went in and the trap snapped killing it immediately. That was super quick. WOW! After a little while we grabbed the trap hung it over the trash can and released the the thing into the trash can. NO MESS -WOW! I checked the bait - still There, Reset the lever and set it back up. We'll see if any of its immediate family comes looking for it tonight! Great product, easy to use. I highly recommend it!
