Title: Has helped my vision when diligent with the exercises
Review: I enjoy simple and easy remedies to issues, and this book is one of them for me.As with anything that usually is beneficial, the best way to get results is with regularity. Whether or not the exercises will need to be a lifelong practice is still to be determined. But what I have observed, with the time I used some of the exercises that I found beneficial, I can have vision improvements immediately afterwards.I basically went through all of the exercises and then determined which ones seemed to work best. So those were the ones I continued doing. It did not take but a few repetitions for each -- nothing strenuous. One of the basic results for me was clarity with seeing smaller type in the distance or images without squinting. And also, seeing small type with books at a normal distance without squinting. I have come to notice that one eye is better with close up and the other eye with distance -- which makes for an unusual viewing combination at times. However, I get more cooperative vision instead of opposing vision with the exercises. It also helped my mom who dish washing soap issue that now resembles macular degeneration (as far as optometrist are concerned). Although there was not problem with her vision until an undiluted soap bubble popped into her eye as she was pouring soap into the dishwater. It has appeared to resemble more of a trauma to the eye, and has improved gradually over the years, but is not completely remedied.I wondered if this could help her vision since now she was also using her other eye more strenuously to compensate for the injured one. So I took her through some of the exercises. Near the end of the book is a series of lines of type in a variety of sizes from large to micro (really small). They do not repeat the lines of type, so that they cannot be anticipated. I had found that I could read the smallest line after the exercises and without it, I stopped somewhere well before that size -- so it was one of the tests of whether the exercises were helpful for me.I took her from the point at what she would think was too small to read (about 1/3 of the page to the end). She would read a line and was surprised because automatically she would have thought by the size, it would not be readable normally. She read it. I kept saying, "Try the next one," and on and on until she had completed the entire list. The last two lines she missed a word in each but otherwise, she read through the entire list. The exercises have been helpful and I will work at becoming more diligent with doing them to see if they can have a prolonged effect, or if it is another routine to continue. One of the best things about the exercises, is that they can be done easily while standing in line at a store, sitting at home, relaxing. As long as there are signs or items with words that can be read at a distance it can be used for exercise. One just takes moving the eyes center focus to outward as if moving around a clock, and the other is similar to what people used to do with moving the finger away from the eyes and bringing it close until focus is lost. These are some of simple exercises that have helped me achieve better vision results. If an exercise made my eyes feel strained or left me dizzy, then these are not the ones I use.

Title: A book thoughtfully explaining why most person mistakenly use glasses, and what instead to do.
Review: Personally, even though now 69 years old, my eyes are fine and I don’t use glasses for anything, neither in front of a PC screen or when driving a car. But since last year on the PC reading an interview with a 75-year person, who by training had stopped using glasses, which he had started on when he was 55, then when I in Amazon by an accident fall over this book, I immediately ordered one, and then received it 2 days ago.As mentioned, personally I have no eye problem, but as we know, it’s better to prepare, that is continuing being healthy, than allowing problems to start, I therefore bought the book. Besides my wife now 2 times this year, without my knowing, has visit 2 ophthalmologists, and daily complains about her eyes, and in the darkness don’t like to drive car. But of course my Thai women only trust doctors, which has resulted in many failures during time, and therefore doesn’t want to hear what I tell her from the book. The content in the book is very interesting, both concerning the historical knowledge from back to 2,000 years ago, the science explaining about the eyes working, and possible problems, and the training of the eyes (in connected to 11 helpful drawings).Historically it’s especially was funny on the sides 26-27 to read about how Professor Young in 1968 stunned the eye care profession after then leading a research team to Alaska for studying the Eskimos. Until then it among other was thought that the myopia (nearsightedness), was caused genetically, so that the eye functions for parent and children nearly should be identical. But it now showed up that the Eskimo parent eyes had long distance sharpness (0,25D) while it for the children was for a shorter distance (1.50D). The reason was that the children was going in school and thereby using eyes for reading and writing, while the parents newer had been in school, and therefore mostly using their eyes outside for hunting. And as we see in the book much of the eye training actually training of the eye muscles, which can be put in during our daily living and mostly without interrupting anything. For example, when sitting and working by a PC screen, then sometimes looking away from the PC screen to a small object 15 feet or longer away, in 2 seconds sharpen the eyes on the object there seen, then back to something closer than the screen, I use a shirt button, sharpen on this point for 2 seconds. And repeating doing this a couple of times, and repeating this during the day. Easy and helpful training for the eyes muscles. But especially, in the book we again and again are told that we shall try to use the actual glasses as little as possibly, no matter how long we have used glasses, because by doing so we then again wake up the eye muscles by putting then on work. Because if we only use glasses then the eye muscles will “retire” more and more, with the result that after some years we will need the next number in glasses.I now have started with some training for my eyes, to see if I can get back the very little different in sharpness on the longest distance, as it previously had. And among other doing this when I by morning training is sitting on the bicycle, and have points close and long away to look.A book with important contents, and I tell about to my friends. Nearly all of the, of course, using glasses.

Review: Dear Readers,I've gone through the first 20 pages and already feel the need to give it a 5 star. This is an outstanding book, it's a treasure trove of interesting information. Informative, instructive, and well written.Let me give you an example: "It's worth noting that the retina seems to possess a rudimentary form of intelligence and many scientists now regard it as an extension of the brain." Just this piece of information, to me, is mind boggling. You will learn alot by reading this, about your eyes and how to look after them. Highly recommended.

Review: The techniques in this book have really helped improve my eyesight. Doing the exercises has given me more awareness and control of my eye muscles and how to look after them.Like any exercise routine though, you need to commit yourself for the long term and follow through to get the results and be willing to keep doing the exercises to maintain the results. If you're willing to exercise your eyes every day, just like you brush your teeth every day, I believe you will get a lot from this book as I have. You don't need anything fancy to do the exercises, which is great, but I did buy my own eye chart, which has helped me measure my progress.

Customers say

Customers find the book practical, easy to understand, and follow. They describe it as wonderful, useful, and to the point. Readers say the exercises work and contribute to greater muscle control. Opinions are mixed on the clarity, with some finding it perfect and concise, while others say their vision is still poor.
