Title: Impressive Performance At a Midrange Price
Review: It is not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive. The different modes along with the roller/cutter makes it an easy process. Having dual motors and dual sealing heaters made it effortless to divide some bulk items. I never found a jar sealer that worked. This does not come with a jar sealer, keeps the price down, and can be ordered later. Does come with a couple of rolls of bags to get you started.

Title: A pleasure to use
Review: This is a well designed sealer with a powerful vacuum pump and just the right amount of features. It evacuates the air very quickly, even from large bags. It seals securely, with a double seal option for items where moisture might affect the single seal. The bag storage compartment and adjacent cutter allow custom sized bags to be made quickly an easily. And the alignment tabs in the vacuum chamber ensure the proper placement of bags prior to sealing. It's a solid performer at a fair price.

Title: GREAT PRODUCT!
Review: Works perfectly & quick. I was able to individually package a 15lb box of catfish fillets in under 30 minutes. It made great seals on both ends so I’m able to Deshawn in the refrigerator & not have to worry about liquids leaking out.Complete air removal, clean design, easy to use with well labeled buttons.

Title: Great Food-Sealer, weak gaskets
Review: Overall, this is a great Food Sealer, does everything it says on the tin. Especially like the well-done manual suction mode and the double-seal function. However (there had to be a BUT), the weak point of the Nesco Sealer is the gaskets. They last 6-9 months then no longer hold a seal. You should "baby" them by not storing your sealer with the top clamped down, but eventually they will fail. Fortunately, you can now get new gaskets right here on Amazon for $12 or so for two pairs (i.e. two full sets of gaskets). I just put in a new set, works great. We'll see about longevity with the new gaskets, anything over 6 months is gravy. Anyway, this is a well-priced sealer, but budget yourself extra gasket money, $12 every year or two.

Title: UPDATED REVIEW
Review: UPDATE: turned out user fault. The sealer works as it should. User has to learn proper procedures. I did not have to write to Nesco. Nesco lives up to its five star reputation.I bought this Nesco Deluxe VS-12 food sealer as a Christmas gift. The recipient recently told me it is very frustrating to try to get it to work as all the hype claims. The bags are expensive and wasted money ruining in repeated attempts. It absolutely does not seal liquids; juicy foods leak out. She has tried various types of bags--roll, individual cut and nothing works. She finds the zip lock storage bags work a lot better. I will be writing Nesco directly and will update this post according to what response I get since I believe it is still under manufacturer's 1 year warantey.

Title: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For customer service
Review: So my unit stopped vacuum sealing after 5 months and customer service thru email didn't give me a lot of trouble and replaced it. In my experience, I do well with customer service overall in resolving my issue satisfactorily but then I do not return products often and when something like this happens it always feels like a roll of the dice, so when it gets resolved in my favor, I give due props.This vacuum sealer is ok, it's highly rated so I bought it. The vacuum portion is a hit or miss sometimes, you have to kind of help by adjusting the bag as it sucks air out of it so it can get all the air out of it. Does well with relatively dry items but once you get to moist or wet, has trouble doing a good vacuum. Wish the drip plate is removable so it's easier to clean. The unit is slow to do its job. The sealer is ok. Area to place the roll plastic bag is a plus. Has a nice place in back to stow the cord. Lightweight. Kind of bulky so need a special place for it.

Review: You will require a voltage transformer for this item in the UK costing closer to £40 of which Amazon don’t tell you on there website and also it comes from America which they also don’t tell you .It also has arrived with an American type plug.Waste of time and money.I don’t even know if it works because I can’t plug it in and you have to get in touch with the American company not Amazon uk
