Plug in the Char-Broil® Patio Bistro® TRU-Infrared™ Electric Grill and start grilling without the hassle of gas or charcoal. Small enough to fit on your patio, this little grill is still big enough to grill up to 12 burgers. In fact, you can grill everything from steak to vegetables and dessert on the Patio Bistro. Invite your friends and family for dinner with the confidence that your food will be tender, juicy and delicious every time. If you want delicious grilled flavor without the hassle of gas or charcoal, you want the Patio Bistro TRU-Infrared Electric Grill.
ELECTRIC GRILL: This grill is powered by electricity to give you the convenience of grilling without the hassle of gas or charcoal. It reaches cooking temperatures quickly, delivers high temps and maintains even heat.
COOKING TECHNOLOGY: TRU-Infrared cooking technology prevents flare-ups, delivers even heat and cooks up to 50% juicier food. Heat is transferred from the coil to the grate and drippings are vaporized, sending the flavor back into your food.
COOKING AREA: Grill up to 12 burgers, 6 chicken breasts or 4 steaks on 320-square-inches of total cooking space. Cook meats and larger items on the primary grates and use the warming rack to cook with indirect heat and keep food warm.
CONTROL KNOB: The control knob powers the grill on and adjusts cooking temperatures. Turn clockwise to increase the heat and counterclockwise to decrease.
GRATES: These steel grates are porcelain-coated to resist rust and make them easier to clean. They retain heat to cook food evenly and leave impressive grill marks.
TEMP GAUGE: The lid-mounted temperature gauge displays accurate temps, so you always know the cooking temperature inside your grill.
BOTTOM SHELF: A convenient wire shelf under the grill keeps your tools within reach.
HANDLE: A handle located below the control knob makes it easy to tilt the grill onto its wheels for easy mobility. You can also use it as a tool bar and towel rack.
WHEELS: Two heavy-duty 7-inch wheels with rubber treads make it easy to roll your grill when you need to move it.
GREASE TRAY: A removable grease tray catches oil drippings and slides out for easy cleaning. You can insert an aluminum liner to catch the drippings and keep the grease pan clean. When you’re all done, simply throw the liner away.

Title: Great grill for the patio!
Review: Very nice replacement for our gas grill. No propane required so I feel safer using it myself unlike my previous gas grill that I had to have my husband handle. Nice size of the actual grill and cooking surface. Easy to clean and happy with the grilling results for both brats and chicken. Nice extra rack to warm up buns. Did require some assembly, but took less than an hour.

Title: Great Buy!
Review: New to being on my own, 64 years old and I found this fairly simple to assemble. I didnât want to mess with charcoal or propane and I looked at many reviews on this electric grill. I have only cooked on it twice but it has worked out great. I let it warm up on high for about 20 mins and it is ready to go. It is also easy to clean. I will add that heat does escape once you open the lid so donât leave it open too long. The size is good and seems to be very stable! Perfect for me!

Title: It is the best, if only good choice for apartment balconies
Review: As others have stated, there is a maximum amount of wattage thar a normal household outlet will allow. In the US, that is 15 amps or approximately 1600 watts. This means that this little guy will not get super hot, but it gets hot enough. It grills food well. I like to spray a little basting sauce (mostly cooking oil) on the grate occasionally to add smoke. I have found it lacking in nothing in terms of flavor, grill marks or heat distribution. I cook on number 5 always, and that is enough to grill, but never burn. As others have mentioned. The temperature gauge is not all that accurate, but it is also unnecessary. Set the dial to 5 and cook. That'd it. It was a more complicated build than I imagined, but I like that stuff. I do wish that the grill had a built in shelf. I believe the previous model did. I believe that the feature wa as deleted as it could have caused tipping problems. I justuse an old TV tray next to the grill. It isso easy, convenient and attractive that it compliments any outdoor space. Never have to buy propane. Never had a flare up. The grates are fairly non stick and are much better than the thin wire bars of some grills. Because it is so simple and easy, I do most all of my cooking on it.

Title: If you have to go electricâ¦I guess this works
Review: Our stupid condo association decided that they would outlaw gas grills, and gave us all a couple of weeks to convert.Iâve had a Coleman camping grill that I have used for years and it is awesome. Runs on the little propane tanks, and gets really really hot. But, alas, it needed to be hidden so that an electric grill could take its place. The Char- Broil is a huge pain in the you know what to put together. Seriously, real grills are always a pain, but this one is really special with the hoops it makes you jump through. Butâ¦.Once you get it togetherâ¦It still sucksâ¦takes forever to heat up, and if your extension cord isnât rated high enough, the cord will trip either the internal fuse or your fuse box.Took 5 times before it got over 400 degreesâ¦it now will get to 450, but you have to do it right off the bat, and donât you dare touch it our lift the lid or youâre doomed.I really want to like this grill, but it is just weak and sad, but really good lookingâ¦so I guess Iâll keep trying.I hate bad reviews, so take this one as you willâ¦

Title: Great grill!!
Review: We have solar panels on our house and are reducing our carbon footprint, so an electric grill made sense for us. Love this grill. Takes a bit to heat up, but cooks well (though maybe a bit slower than a gas grill). Easy to assemble and clean. Very happy with this purchase. I'd recommend this most highly!

Title: Ability to sear steaks and long term reliability
Review: I have 3 total of these. Two are table top and this new one is a patio version. The two older table top have been going since the first and second year they came out. Only issue is on one of them I had to recalibrate the thermostat because it got to where the grill was on when thermostat was cut back to off. One of the cons on this new patio version is the light is on all of the time so you donât know when the element is on or off. The other is on a windy day it takes a lot longer cooking time because of the wider vent gap at the rear making this version a lot less energy efficient. See pictures above. The 2 tabletop version have seen a lot of use and have been very reliable. These are really good for the high heat needed to seer steaks and long term reliability.

Title: BROKEN after 5 months! **CAUGHT FIRE/FLAWED ENGINEERING** DO NOT BUY THIS!
Review: I'm not the type of person to leave negative reviews unless it's truly deserved, but this was one of those cases. First off, even if the grill had kept working, it still wouldn't have gotten 5 stars because it doesn't get nearly as hot as it indicates. It says it gets to 500 degrees, but it wouldn't get nearly as hot as my last grill at 400 degrees. As someone who loves high heat for medium-rare and grill marks, I wasn't a fan of the lower temperature. That said, it would've been a solid grill, if it hadn't stopped working after just 5 months, so I called Charbroil, and they sent me possible parts to fix it. They wanted to charge me shipping and handling--I was able to at least avoid that--but they didn't send any tools or instructions, so I basically had to remember how to disassemble it and install the new parts.*** After setting the grill up with the new parts, it took 1 week for the grill to catch fire. I literally started smoking and the plastic part in the front CAUGHT FIRE. This grill didn't last 6 months and the engineering is clearly flawed and unsafe. DO NOT BUY THIS ***

Title: Slow cooking, doesn't keep temp as soon as you open the lid
Review: Overall, the grill works. Extremely slow cooking in the winter, slow cooking in the summer. I even added ceramic coal tiles to hold the heat better. I wanted electric for ease. It would have been easier to stick to gas. And sooo much faster grilling. The grill looks good and I got the matching cover which is also nice.

Review: I really like the aesthete of this bbq. I needed 2 sets of hands to assemble, but it went together easily with a bit of help holding things in place. It fits perfectly on my back deck for impromptu meals and snacks. I would suggest purchasing two bbq bricks to go down under the element to help with heat retention and even heat distribution, but it will work okay without. Iâm winter quing so the bricks help.

Review: It is an electric grill and works as expected. Not being a gas grill, the heat is not as quick and hot but still able to grill for about 4 people. Does take a bit more time, but happy with the end result. Overall quality is really good and assemble nicely with parts fitting together. As to grill not reaching high temperature on the gauge which is true, but the gauge is at the top part of the cover which should be expected. The grill surface is still plenty hot to cook food.
Customers say
Customers like the barbecue grill for its ease of assembly and great steaks. They mention it cooks well, is easy to use, and requires a minimal number of hand tools. Some are also happy with its size and appearance. However, some customers have reported that the temperature never quite heated up to the full 500°F, and it has a few cold spots. Opinions differ on the ease of cleaning and value for money.
