Title: Great for hot appliances
Review: I would constantly fear damaging the cable cord for my heat press (because its a swing around) so at times I would not notice the back part heating up the power cable a bit. So this is very useful for that.

Title: Protects my sump pump cable, weird metal ends
Review: I picked up this cable guard because I have PVC boards sitting on top of my sump pump to provide a little more living space in our basement. PVC boards don't rot from the inevitable moisture that creeps out of the sump pump, which is good, but the boards are thin (thus sharp) and sit up against the sump pump cable. I had temporary protection on it until these came in. This cable protector is thick enough and tough enough to counter the PVC board edges and the periodic instances of people stepping on the boards. Sump pump cables are on the thicker end so it was a bear to mold this over the cable, but after a lot of working the cable into the guard it fit. This guard is a lot shorter than I thought it would be, and there are also weird thick staple things at the end of the cables. Can't tell if they're part of the guard or something else, but dang if I didn't almost cut myself on the one end trying to push the pieces back into place in the cable guard. Overall this worked for my use case and only taking one star off for the staple issue. Recommend for shorter cables or cords that you might need to protect

Title: Awesome product with an unconventional use
Review: Admittedly when I saw this cable protector, I got it but not for what you'd think. Yes, it's protecting cables...from a very determined cat. Our Norwegian Forest Cat has a thing for chewing up any cable that he can get his sharp little teeth on. We have tried all manner of things to protect cables (especially computer cables) from him, to no avail.Well, let me tell you that he stopped REALLY QUICK when he got his teeth on this cable protector. I hate to be mean and laugh, but laugh I did! I guess metal on your chompers doesn't really feel good.So, to wrap it up, if you have a cat (or dog) who is hopelessly devoted to ridding your household of cables, I'd recommend this.

Title: Does the job
Review: Actually this was smaller and shorter than I expected. However it still can protect the important parts or more visible parts of the cable. It is sturdy. For longer requirements you would need more of these which would be a bit pricey or probably go with a different option.

Review: i'm using this to protect a plug from getting cut by rolling chairs or pets in the living room because there is a desk there. it is strong and the cord fit just fine in it. i think it'll provide really good protection.

Review: If you're looking for short cord power wire protection this is what you need. I used it to protect some wireds that feed fire insert thermostat. I understand it's not intended for that use but it works great.

Title: Works as described.
Review: I applied this cable guard to an electrical cord and I like the fact that the cord was completely hidden. The cable has a very deep pocket, so the cord is well protected. It’s also very thick yet flexible to move with the cord. However I couldn’t test the durability out because it’s only a twenty four inch cable. It literally only covered one fourth of the cord. I have a bunny who loves to chew on electrical cords, and having only a small amount of the cord covered, doesn’t put my mind at ease. I think that if you’re going to have something tested, then why not send a longer version?
