Review: Product is good. Problem is I ordered “2 piece rod” and was shipped directly from Amazon warehouse and had only the bottom piece in the box! Nobody to contact through customer service and nobody to be accountable to o prevent it from happening again in the future. May cancel my Amazon subscription.

Review: *TLDR = best rod, nice ultra light feel, packaging could be better, paired with a small penn pursuit 3 2500. My best setupI have a old, about 10-12 years old ugly stick, it’s a seven foot medium, and it’s the only one that I have never break. It’s been trough hell, I’m usually not too kind on my gear. I buy them to use them.So it was logical to get the ultralight ugly stick. It’s the same look, the same construction, and hopefully, it will be as durable.The feel is great, you really feel every tiny bite and the ultra light make you feel a monster is at the end of the rod.I used it for creeks or small river, for trout and bass mostly.Don’t put a too big of a reel. You WILL break the rod. It’s build for small fish, so small reel.I’ve install a penn pursuit 3 2500, with a 8lbs braid, and a 4 lbs fluo leader directly tie to the braid. I would not go bigger reel. It is my best ultralight setup so far.This is my 3rd ugly stick and I love this one too!Packaging was minimal : the rod in a simple bag in the Amazon box, no cushion of any kind. Would have like a bit more but no damage to the product so can’t really complain, but I believe it’s worth mentioning.

Review: Comes apart into 2 pieces which is fantatsic for storage and transport. It was advertised as 1 piece only. Putting a good quality reel on this to handle the salt water and fresh and for a bigger fish if I chance to get a hold of one. Mainly using it for smaller rainbow trout lakes, river and ocean cutthroats etc.
