Title: This baby really works
Review: We bought ours on the recommendation of our apartment next-door neighbors. It really helped us (age 82 and 70) stay comfortable during recent heat waves - so grateful for this affordable, effective A/C unit. We mounted it in our sliding door (opens on to balcony), using a separately purchased mounting bracket kit - works perfectly: the exhaust hose fit the bracket nicely.

Title: Not real impressed.
Review: I defiantly would not buy another one of these. Very noisy and I mean VERY NOISY, whole cabinet rattles and hum's. The cooling is not very good in my 350 sq. foot room. Another low quality china product.

Title: Works as designed but poorly written instructions on set up
Review: Purchased this to cool the bedroom if a hurricane forces me to use generator power. But I wanted to run through the set up and ensure it works and not hold it to a time of need and find out there is a problem. It cools a large bedroom just fine and there's not much here I didn't expect but understand portable still requires more than just rolling it into a room and connecting to power. Firstly, the written instructions should be better but the illustrations do help, a little. The vent hose is somewhat rigid and needs a careful handling to tread on the end adapters and bending it into place. The window panel that the hose connects to had to be trimmed (I used a jig saw) about 4 inches to enable to panel retracted properly fit a 36" wide window, otherwise the vent hose couldn't connect to the panel. The part of the window panel that sizes (slides together) to the width of the window retracted so much that it partially block the opening where the hose connects. Once that was in place the issue drain plugs needed to be addressed. There are 2 drains and one drain hose, about 3 feet long. The instruction are not detailed enough here. In the general operations section it says to connect to the upper drain if in "dry mode". I assume "dry mode" in dehumidify without cooling, and "cool mode" is dehumidify with cooling (a/c). There is no guidance given here, but I know in the panhandle of Florida, cooling (a/c) mean pulling water (humidity) out of the air and a lot of it. From reading another person's review I learned the bottom drain plug is the one you want to connect to when using the "cool mode". I attached the drain line to the bottom plug and that drains into a bucket. I've run the air condition on cool mode for several nights, about 7 hours each, and it drains about one gallon of condensate into the bucket. I've checked the upper drain plug a couple of times and there is nothing there to drain out. I understand from the instructions the unit will stop running, showing an error code "E4" , when water is full. Where it is full isn't stated but I assume there is an internal collection pan and when full the unit turns off automatically. I haven't experienced that issue.

Title: It's very LOUD
Review: It works well but I needed it for a bedroom and even though it has a "night" mode it just makes it cool less and turns of and on more. I got a carpet under it which was recommended but it doesn't really help. Hard to sleep with it on.
