Title: An Emotional Journey of Faith
Review: I’d not read Nancy Moser before, but after completing this book, I quickly read a second title, and purchased a third. I don’t read a lot of contemporary Christian fiction, tending more toward Biblical, End Times or Thriller/Suspense, but after finishing The Seat Beside Me, I developed a new appreciation for familiar settings. In this case, sitting in a plane, awaiting takeoff, something most all of us have done.Moser introduces us to five people and their seatmates. All strangers with diverse backgrounds ranging from student, salesman, plastic surgeon, wife/mother, teacher and more. As the minutes tick by, these individuals find themselves learning about each other, minutes that will later have a drastic impact as their lives entwine in ways none could suspect. It's hard to talk about this novel without giving away spoilers, but I can say it his heartfelt, well-plotted, inspirational, and emotional. Sometimes very emotional. Moser doesn’t shy away from difficult circumstances, nor from talking about faith and God’s directing hand in our lives. All these people are flawed in one way or another. One made me cringe. But lives change over the course of the book and seeing that happen left me with a strong sense of satisfaction. The Christian teaching is strong, but layered into character discussions and plot, never preachy. One of the Bible verses the author uses as a key point in the novel, has now lodged forever in my heart—Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21 NIV)Although this is book one of a series, this is a complete standalone novel, with all the storylines concluding satisfactorily. If you enjoy novels with fully fleshed out characters and plots that make you think “what would I do?” don’t miss this incredible story from an incredible author. I shed more than a few tears while reading this book, but I also laughed, cheered, and marveled at what an amazing and caring God we have.

Title: This book was AMAZING!
Review: I loved this book! The characters were all very interesting and I could hardly stop reading before it was finished. I loved the scripture references and the believability of the people and the way it all played out. This was one of the best ones I have read! Thank you, Nancy Moser for a well-written, inspiring novel!

Title: Surprising Combination
Review: I started this with trepidation. I easily get characters confused. I enjoy Christian historical fiction and mysteries. I have been known to not finish stories that didn't keep my attention. I loved this different spin and especially the end was such a surprise! The characters were well developed to help me keep them straight and interested. In fact, I had trouble stopping to sleep. I liked (most) of the characters and enjoyed seeing them grow. I have been a Christian a long time and sometimes get tired of the simple salvation message being preached but, again, there was just the right blend and believability that I cheered as each applied it to their own perspective. I don't think I have read anything else by this author but will keep her in my sights now.

Title: Survivors of Plane Crash Adjust to Anguish
Review: This book is the first in a series of Christian fiction. The story is about a horrific plane crash and how the few survivors deal with it. Or, more correctly, how they find God's hand in the rubble of their lives. It is a solid book that is so much more than the solid application of Christianity in daily life. Much of it is finding a deeper relationship with God when he shakes up your world so thoroughly. I could deeply relate as I went through it with my divorce, as many do. There were parts of the book that made me cry, all of it made me examine my own faith. It is a fast-moving book that I read in one sitting. I know that I will read all of the series this week. It is a practical application of faith that I can relate to.

Review: I struggled at first to get into it as it jumps from character to character but as the storyline progresses and the flight takes of so does the book itself.Fantastic book that gave me tears of happiness and tears of sandness and made me refocus on my faith. You really do start to wonder ‘what would I do in that situation?’

Review: I do not know where to start saying something about this book.A plane crash. A few survivors, whose problems before they boarded they boarded the plane did not just vanish in the crash. The guilt of having survived. The grief. The "I wish I had"...Absolutely beautifully told, a plot that kept me glued to the book, following each of the survivors coming to terms with what happened, and what mostly changed their lives around.I suffered along with every single one of the, shedding tears throughout the book, and still finding it difficult to put it aside.God's hand in everything that happens, whether we know it, want to know it, or even want to think about it. A bit unrealistic, perhaps, in that all survivors are in some way, either before or after, connected to God, as in today's times, I find this hard to believe - but would wish for.All in all, a heartbreaking, heartwarming, and uplifting book from an author I haven't met before, but will surely read more of!

Review: It made me laugh - sometimes. It made me cry - more than I like to admit. It made me want to hit someone (chiefly Anthony). It inspired me. And I found it hard to put down. For a story that's 'just' about a plane crash and the next week or so in the lives of the survivors, I think that's pretty impressive! This is the first book I've read by the author, but if it is typical of her books, I'll be doing my best to make sure it's not my last. Clean and well written, this is a book I would highly recommend - but I would suggest not reading it in public because I found bits of it quite emotional.
