Title: You will use often!
Review: This vacuum is lightweight, easy to use for little jobs, orf for using in the car and saves time when one's large vacuum isn't needed. I store it on its charger so is always ready for any job. Has good suction so does a great job for the things I needed a smaller vac for--am very happy with it, and I think you will like it also. Price is good as well.

Review: Easy to use and easy to empty. Works well for those who have pets that shed regularly. Also great at picking up crunchy pet kibble bits from hardwood floors and washable rugs. Only drawback is that it's fairly noisy.

Review: This is Exactly what I needed in a cordless handheld dustbuster, B+D designed this incredibly well! For quick light dustbusting in the house or vehicle, this durable and easy to use hand vac is so well-balanced, simple, and ergonomically designed that I wish I'd bought it sooner. For small cleanups around the house it works well, although the lithium-ion battery and storage capacity isn't designed for large or heavy jobs, that is what the house or shop vac is for first.This handheld vac is designed for small or simple spot-cleaning, or in hard to reach areas which don't require a corded vacuum. The list of uses are numerous, for pet hair, dust and dander or pollen, spills (it even pulls up a small amount of liquid, although a wet/dry vac is better for that first), I clean my Winix air purifier filters with this, to extend their efficiency and use, any cobwebs in overhead areas, curtains, and it is very handy for the interior of the vehicle.The recharging time is very fast, and usually I can manage about twenty or thirty minutes before needing to recharge it on its base (included with the hand vac). When it is fully charged, the blue recharge indicator light shuts off, so it doesn't constantly glow softly. The motor on the hand vac isn't loud, the filter and prefilter only take a matter of a couple of minutes to clean, and it is so easy to open up and clean those that it only takes a couple of minutes after the first time. It only comes apart and goes back together in one way, so there is nothing to fumble around with.If purchasing this item, you may want to buy it bundled with a replacement filter for a discount, to save eventual costs, however after nearly a year I'm still on the original one, and it is hardly showing any wear. I simply open up the hand-vac when it is about 1/2 - 3/4 full, dump out the reservoir of dust, dirt, cat hair, etc., and bang off the pre-filter and filter. In less than a minute, it is all snapped back together, and ready to go again!It is rare that I leave a lengthy review for a common household item, however this one warrants it. I spend sometimes a few days or weeks reading through top reviews, and don't make impulse buys, I like quality, and if it costs a few extra dollars, it almost always pays off in the end. As a comparison, when I needed a handheld water filter, I spent months researching, and chose the Katadyn Pocket Water Filter, one of the best purchases I made for camping, backpacking, and essential survival. There is hardly any comparison, and although it cost a little more, after years it is in perfect shape, and was backed by a ten year warranty, almost unheard of for a product. The same with my chef's knife, the 8-inch Koto Knives Professional Gyoto Chef's Knife, with 67 Layer Damascus Steel Blade, VG-10 Japanese Super Steel, having worked as a chef, when I found this one I stopped looking, it has been the perfect knife for years, and for the quality was incredibly affordable, around $80.00 USD.I expect that over its lifetime, the Black and Decker handheld vacuum will continue to prove equally helpful. The charging base and cord are included, it is light and durable, the ease of use and design is ideal, the two nozzle modes are already attached, nothing to take on or off, the brush folds out and back over the intake, so you can get in those tough places, and the motor and rotors sound strong and provide excellent suction for small jobs. The instruction manual is clearly written, in three languages, including the two-year limited warranty, you'll be out of the box, assembled, and running in a manner of minutes, and what once was a chore is now made easy.I'll return to update this review in the coming year(s), however after a year of reliable service I recommend this product. Review: Love this dustbuster. Great suction, easy to use, holds charge very well, and super convenient docking/charging station. Use it at least 4 times a week for a variety of spills. If anything too valuable gets sucked in the process, it's easy to see through the clear container.

Title: Battery died after 3 years, not user replaceable.
Review: I like the long extendable pickup and overall sucking power. Not a big fan of the counter-top charge base (I would have preferred a wall mount).But after 3.5 years of light-duty use (under five minutes run time each week) my CHV1410L vacuum's battery died. Unfortunately the battery is NOT a user-replaceable item. That's a shame because the vacuum still looks new. And it would be wasteful to toss it in the trash just because Black & Decker didn't design this appliance so we could change the battery pack. For this reason the vacuum only gets 3 stars from me.Fortunately I have many years experience working on electronic equipment. I have rebuilt a few lithium battery packs too. So I decided to replace my vacuum's batteries. This is not a project for the average person, so skip this idea if you are not familiar with lithium battery safety.I disassembled the vacuum by removing six screws. Once inside I found that the battery pack can be removed by unplugging a connector. As luck would have it, the battery pack's plastic case is held together by two plastic tabs that snap apart. Inside the case are four (4) 18650 size lithium batteries and the cell charge protection circuit board.The rebuilding process was straight forward. I used four 18650 high current flat top cells (rated 20A continuous operation). These type of cells are found in some high capacity vaping devices. While soldering the cells it is critical to avoid overheating them. I used a temperature controlled iron, added flux, and worked fast to minimize the heat dwell time. The cells I used came from Amazon, but the vendor removed the listing shortly after I purchased them (so I'm unable to provide a link).I don't intend this review to be a battery rebuilding instructable. Instead, I'm here to say that the battery will probably last 3-4 years and then your vacuum will become another electronic landfill waste item. This problem isn't limited to this product, but such a shame that manufacturers don't do more to break us from modern society's throw-away habits.EDIT Dec-12-2022: It's been many years since I wrote my original review. Just wanted to come back and report that I'm still using the Black & Decker cordless vacuum, which is nearly 10 years old. The rebuilt battery pack is still going strong too. Perhaps I'll return in another five years and report similar good news. 🙂

Title: My third unit- good unit, like the older ones
Review: 16V Lithium CHV1410L. I like the see-through canister, easily-used shape and fine performance. It’s fairly lightweight and quickly recharges . I still use my first and gifted one other unit I bought. That’s 3 I bought - obviously I like this B&D device. The latest unit’s cannister is a tighter fit when it is put back on the motor segment, which is an annoying change, but it also stays connected better.

Review: This light weight ( only 3 lbs ) machine is very handy! I love that it has a pull out extended nozzle and little brush attachment that is attached so you will never lose its parts! It has decent suction and I mostly use it to vac my bedside "furry" carpets, dust bunnies and I use it a lot in the kitchen to suck up coffee grounds or crumbs. It is super easy to clean and love the reusable washable filter!One thing I have noticed is that when it is sitting on its charger the solid blue light ( for some models it is a red light) doesn't always come on which means it is not charging so I have to fiddle with it a bit.I haven't had it for very long so I will update in 6 months if there are any more pros/cons.

Review: I love this Dust Buster ordered it as the 12 volt model which I already have seems to be no longer available.The only problem when it arrived was that it came with a USA/Canada two prong charger base and not the three pin which we use here in the UK, so I had to purchase the adapter suitable for USA/Canada appliances.

Review: Has suffcient suction power. I prefer this over the plug in 12V vacuum cleaner for the vehicle. I am able to use this not only to clean my vehicle but also my couch and to scoop up any collected dust. There's a light which turns on when on charging mode and swtiches off once fully charged.The vacuum cleaner is good, I just wish it came with a few different attachments.
