Title: Very impressed
Review: I've been using an old panini press/grill to make b'fast for many years. It does the job but.... it was definitely time for an upgrade. This grill has great reviews including videos explaining every little feature. The price was definitely right so I pulled the trigger. As others have said, this thing heats up FAST! And it cooks FAST! My old rig took forever to get hot and took a long time to actually cook something. This thing is so fast that it's difficult to get everything else together before it's done.Comments: Yes, the surface is non-stick and VERY easy to clean with just a sponge and soapy water. But for eggs you do want to spray the surface with Pam or something.Handle come off easily and the grill stores away nicely even though I use it almost every day so I should probably just leave it out.I'm still fooling around with the temp settings. The manual says 300 degrees for eggs and that's WAAAAY too high. 225 seems to be a much better temp and I may turn it down a bit more. Bacon cooks VERY quickly even at that low setting. Haven't used it to make pancakes yet but pancakes are the main reason for this purchase. Need an electric grill? This is the one you want!

Title: Great product (so far!)
Review: Finally decided to give my elderly electric griddle the heave-ho. The non-stick surface was non-functional and pretty bad looking. I have always used proper tools to avoid scratching, but I think someone (not me 🙂 once slathered it in non-stick spray, which is a total NO-NO on any of these. Just received my Presto and used it for the first time. WOW! My only problem was that I'll have to get a new spatula with a VERY thin lip. When I went to flip my delicious buckwheat pancakes, the slightest bump on the side of the cake would literally send it rocketing off the griddle because it was so slick! Removable handles are great. Easy to clean. We'll have to see how it holds up in the long run, but so far it is great. One thing - my laser thermometer says that it heats a bit higher (at least in the top range 350° to 400°) than it shows on the setting dial. I haven't checked the lower ranges so they may be closer to setting. I wish I had bought this years ago. (Added after a month of use:) The only problem is the actual temperature - it is, as I said definitely higher than the markings indicate and there is a definite "heat pattern" of higher and lower areas from the heating element. All in all though, I am very happy with it - and a face full of delicious buckwheat pancakes!)

Title: Even better than my last Presto griddle
Review: I had the Presto 07039 22-Inch Electric Griddle for 5 years, but the nonstick surface was starting to wear off from frequent use, so I was in the market for a replacement. Having had a Presto already, I knew it did a decent job of cooking evenly, had a good nonstick surface, and was affordably priced. I was hoping to find one that would be a little easier to clean, and debated between a couple of dishwasher-safe options, but settled on the Presto 07061 22-inch Electric Griddle with Removable Handles for its removable handles. The problem with all the dishwasher-safe options is that they were big and bulky - by design since the heating element had to be separate from the cooking surface.I am please to report that I am happy with my choice. The large 22" cooking surface has excellent nonstick properties; I prefer it over my previous Presto griddle which didn't have the same texture. I made an egg (with no oil) and the non-stick was so good that the edges of the egg actually curled up and away from the surface on their own. No sticking whatsoever.I was a bit worried that the handles might be loose, making the griddle wiggly, but I'm happy to report that is not the case. In fact, I can't tell that they are removable handles at all when moving the griddle around. It's very solid, with nice little rubber grippies on the bottom of the legs - something my previous Presto did not have. And the handles are very simple to remove. Each of the four legs has a tight spring latch that secures the handles in place. You can easily remove the handles in seconds and store the cooking surface in the same cupboard as your pizza pans! The shape of the cooking surface is also more convenient to clean than my last Presto. This one is flat, with an opening in the rim where the grease tray resides. You can wipe the surface straight off the edge of the griddle into the grease tray or a sink/garbage. My previous Presto just had a small hole that grease was supposed to drain through, and you had to wipe any larger pieces up and over the rim. Also, the grease tray on this model has two small catches that prevent it from sliding open too easily. My last Presto had no such mechanism, and the tray actually slid out while I was in the process of moving it and broke when it hit the floor.Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I'm sure there are other great griddle options out there with more bells and whistles, but this one does the job and is both affordable and convenient.

Customers say

Customers like the ease of cleaning, performance, and size of the countertop griddle. They mention it works well, cooks evenly, and has a large surface area. Some appreciate the handle removal, stickiness, and griddle design. However, some customers disagree on the heat distribution.
