Title: great companion book
Review: Keep in mind, this is not the actual book, it is to be used with the actual book. However you can get this first and look through it to see if it is something you would like or find helpful!A companion book helps you understand an actual book and builds or elaborates on it. This particular one is very well written. Alcohol is a destructive force that can ruin lives. This is a great way to get the realization that you are getting out of control and helps you get to being on the right track with your life again.

Title: Drinking Is Like Owning a Pit Bull
Review: This summary is a quick read, thank goodness. I can't fault the author for the content in the book (whoever this author is) since he or she is only summarizing what Annie Grace says in, "This Naked Mind." It's worth the money if for no other reason, we learn: "The American Association of Wine Economists has proven, people cannot actually distinguish between expensive and cheap wines." I'm a book snob and no where near a wine snob but even I can tell the difference between at $10 bottle of wine and $35 bottle. I may not prefer the expensive bottle, but I can tell a difference. My fear is that people who read "This Naked Mind" will simply think telling their mind that alcohol is bad will work like magic and their craving for drink will go away. I have a friend who was able to quit overnight, but this only came after he prayed that God would remove the desire. I suspect that's rare. I also have friends and family members who have tried to stop and still struggle to do so. All the facts in the world - plus the adverse affects drinking has wrought - has not flipped their subconscious and conscious mind to stop craving drink. If "This Naked Mind" works for you, great. If you're not sure if you want to read "This Naked Mind," get this summary. It's worth the money. My take on drinking is this: it's like owning a pit bull. Take care of your pet. Feed it, love it if you want, but never take your eyes off it. Like a pit bull, drink can be a comforting companion. It can also turn on you at any moment.
