Title: Pretty impressive!
Review: I've been using a series 5 for a decade and it still works well. But, on a whim, I bought a series 9. It's incredibly close and really fast. The self cleaning is much improved too.I know close. I switched to occasionally using a feather safety razor with feather blades when I wanted a really close shave. For fun, I even learned to sharpen and use a real straight razor - but my skin won't tolerate that more than once a week. I know why so many men wore beards before the safety razor was invented!If I use a straight razor more than the days in a row my cheeks are simply raw even with the best soaps and a badger brush.The series 9 is almost as good as the feather, faster by far and MUCH kinder to my skin.It's so close that I can only barely feel stuble when I go to bed at night.It's really amazing how good this things is. It's well worth the $ if close and kind are important to you.

Title: A Winner
Review: This razor cost about 3x what I paid for my Norelco... but it is worth every penny. Its very well-made and gives a great shave. With my Norelco, I'd have to clean it after 2 shaves and the shave itself was poor. If you were a watch repair person, cleaning the Norelco would be much less of a challenge. The Braun is very easy to clean and even has a cleaning system. My only complaint is the documentation/instructions; they must have been "written" by a mime. Lots of pictures, no words, lots of confusion. Just watch some youtube videos and you'll be good.

Title: Pretty Good, But Cheap Feeling...
Review: - I have been using this Braun Series 9 PRO+ Electric Razor for about 6 weeks now for a total of about a dozen or so times.- I am pretty impressed with the actual shave it provides. Some come out better than others but it my be a learning curve on my end. Although I really have to go over all areas with multiple passes. To do it nicely it takes a good 4 to 5 minutes.- I usually use AFTA Pre-Shave before using this razor which seems helps with the "lift" of the facial hairs. However, a few times I did not use any pre-shave lotion and it seemed to do just fine that way too.- I have not even tried the automatic cleaning station yet. But I do keep in super clean by removing the blade assembly and then gently tap all hair out of the cutter blades and unit AND then I reinstall the blade assembly on the unit and rinse under running water as instructed. I pat everything dry and then keep both pieces (blade assembly and unit) separated to air dry on a paper towel for 12 to 24 hours, Sounds like a lot of work but it really isn't. Braun provides a TINY AND CHEAP cleaning brush (Braun should be embarrassed at the tiny size and cheapness of this brush!) which I've used twice.- The pop-up trimmer is "okay", I feel its more of a selling "add-on". I find on an occasional shave where the Braun Razor wouldn't get (near sideburns, under nostrils) I can quickly use a cheap, dry twin blade disposable razor which works quicker and better than the pop-up trimmer.- I like this electric razor but if I had to purchase it again knowing what I know now, I would save about $75 to $100 by purchasing a similar but older Braun model (which are on sale much more often).- Reason for the 4 stars and not 5 (and 3 stars "Value for Money") is like so many online reviewers (at popular shaving sites) mentioned, the overall quality feels plasticky, cheap, and a little lightweight.- For $315.00 I would like to expect similar quality to my KitchenAid Mixer or my Kirby Vacuum. Its no where near the same feel, fit, or finish.

Title: One of the Best in All My Years!
Review: I think I go back to the time when electric razors were invented!!! This one is much better than the "old" rotator version. It shaves very smoothly, and it has never caught up. It is easy to clean, and the battery seems to last longer.

Title: It’s expensive but does a better job.
Review: I’ve used the Braun shavers for several years. The last one was an older Series 7. It was and still is a pretty good choice. There is a big difference between the two. The Series 9 is a much better electric shaver. Is it worth the price difference? My best analogy would be the difference between a Toyota and a Lexus. They’re made be the same manufacturer and both get you where you’re going. The difference is the Lexus is a little more refined does it in a lot more comfort. If you want to pay the premium price go for it. If you need a pretty good shaver at a better price look at the Series 7 or 8 they won’t disappoint.

Review: Bought this last night after much deliberation due to price. Yes it is expensive; however, it is well worth it considering the performance and shaving capability. This unit is solid engineering at its finest and smooth unparalleled performance in a handheld. I switched from blades to this simply due to blades being stupidly expensive and did the math that 7 months of blades will pay for this. Highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed. Don’t believe those who try and sway you from this product, it is quality and you will always have that one person claiming that Walmart sells a better one for 30$. They simply don’t.

Review: I've been using standard blades forever. But decided to give this device a chance as I was having issues with certain parts of my face - getting them totally stubble free. I'm sure I could have solved it with foam shaving against the hair growth - but doing so with shaving blades is not a good idea. Based on many reviews, I chose the Pro Plus. I've had it for over a week now, daily usage. It's doing a great job. Don't believe the marketing hype though, this is not a one motion across your face and it's done. But it's doing a great job getting a very close shave. It's reasonably none irritating (I use a post shave cream). And the self cleaning feature is fantastic. So far so good.

Review: I have used Braun shavers for many years and the S9 pro+ is by far the best. I used it first on a 3 day beard and was impressed at how easily and cleanly it removed my beard growth. The Pro+ trimmer is well worth the extra $cost. It works as well as many barber clippers! The only initial issue I had was with the cleaning smart centre. After completing the initial clean/rinse cycle, the unit seems to keep running for more than 15 minutes. At first I thought it was not working properly so I unplugged and then plugged it in again. At this point the charging began. After contacting Braun support, I learned that the smartcentre motor running was simply to dry the shaver head. Now I just leave it (~20 mins) and it is all good. Better documentation would have obviated my concern and time spent with support team.
