Title: It's my first battery mower and I love it
Review: This review is for "Greenworks 48V (2 x 24V) 20" Brushless Cordless (Push) Lawn Mower (LED Headlight), (2) 4.0Ah Batteries and Dual Port Rapid Charger Included."This is my first battery-powered mower after many years of gas-powered ones. I was very reluctant to make the switch, but wanted to get away from some of the maintenance needs of gas mowers, as well as the need to have gas on hand all the time. The whole concept of a battery mower seemed strange to me. I kept picturing the toy mowers I had as a kid. Would it have enough power? Would it do a good job? Would it last? I can't answer that last question yet, but on the first two I am very pleased. In fact, I'd have to say that this mower did a BETTER job on my lawn than any of the gas-powered ones I've owned, AND it was easier to use. I'm not even sure how that happened, but it did. Here's what I like about the mower:- It's very lightweight compared to a gas mower (though not as light as a toy!)- The one-lever adjustment for all four wheels is super convenient and easy to use- It's really quiet and, of course, easy to start- I had no trouble pushing it up small inclines (this model is not self-propelled)- The height adjustment on the handle allowed me to find a comfortable position, which was not true of my last mower. All of these things bested my gas mower. One other thing I really like with a battery mower is that it's no big deal to stop the mower (maybe there's an obstruction in the path up ahead, maybe you get a text) and then restart it. You just let go of the handle, and then push the button when you're ready to go again. This is not as easy with a gas mower, and I found myself almost never stopping that one until I was done.I have a lot of "wild onion grass" in my yard, which is pretty tall and thick the first cut of the season. This mower did not clog or stop when I got to the thick patches, and handled them like a trouper. Also, my gas mower was self-propelled, and I was concerned whether this push model would be hard to push. It is not. I don't have any hills to cut, just gently-sloping lawn, and I had no trouble pushing it because it is light and has great wheels. In fact, at times I forgot that it wasn't self-propelled. But if you have bigger inclines or are not in the best of health, you may want to consider this option. I didn't find it necessary (let's hope that remains true as I get older!)The only thing that wasn't ideal was battery life. My yard is about a third of an acre, and typically takes a bit over an hour to cut. I didn't time it, but my batteries died when I was about half-way done. As I mentioned, the grass was thicker/higher for this first cut of the season, so I'm sure that used more juice, and I was also getting used to working the mower. But it is clear that I will not get my lawn done on one charge. However, I knew this going in, and this problem is easily solved by buying spare batteries, or just taking a break and doing the lawn in two halves, which I did (I weed-whacked while recharging the batteries). So if you're reluctant to take the plunge from gas to battery, I say go for it. And consider this model (or its self-propelled cousin) due to its great performance and great price. Consumer Reports rates it highly, as do I. I will try to update my review to comment on longevity/any trouble spots once I've used this for a while, but in all honesty, it is so reasonably priced that I could buy one every year and still save money over paying a lawn service, so I'm not too worried about its overall life span.

Title: Perfect for the Average City Yard
Review: IMHO, I was apprehensive about purchasing this lawn mower. I was unsure of the battery life during cuts, the power needed to cut, and have only used corded or gasoline powered yard equipment my whole life. The setup was simple and took 5 minutes (the unboxing took longer! This little beast performed awesome. I had about 3 weeks of grass growth and decent sized backyard and postage sized front yard. I encountered no issues with the battery life and suffered no power lags from the unit. Overall, the quietness of the machine is fantastic, it allowed me to listen to music without any background noise. Overall, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Title: Just Works Every Time Update!
Review: Update: Aug, 2024This thing just works every time! It needs a new blade now. I had to buy more batteries for it. I now have the two 4 amp-hour batteries that came with it and I bought after that. With those two sets of batteries, I'm good to go! Even if I get negligent and the grass gets real high, I don't run out of battery. I know exactly how much to mow before I change the batteries. I try to leave one bar on the batteries to be kind to them. In many ways, this is much better! Believe it or not, I've found that I can do the lawn with this thing faster than I could with the zero turn riding mower! Not to mention that I can get to a lot more places and save time with the weed-eater. I get enough so often, I won't even bother to weed-eat. Totally happy with it after more than two years!_____________________________________________________________________________________I live right on a highway (US 13), so I have a thin strip that adjoins the neighbor's easement or whatever, for their driveway. On the other side, those neighbors have a fence and there's a real steep strip that's very hard to mow. Then, in the front there's the public property that the Gov never mows because people go EEK! and mow it themselves long before they get around to it. So I don't have much, but it's a challenge in places.I got this thing almost exactly a year ago. I thought I'd give it some time before I wrote a ridiculous review. I was a little hesitant. What encouraged me was all the reviews stating how powerful it is and how it can make it through thick, tall grass. Sure enough! It takes a lot of grass to stall it out! It IS better than many, if not most regular mowers. The only thing I've ever had that beats it, I still have. It's a 36 inch Gravely riding mower with a 16 hp engine! That's a big engine for a 36 inch mower! It's a beast. This mower coming in second to it is not a dis; it's more like a silver medal! Anyway, I have now set that aside and use this mower. I haven't purchased any gas in well over a year. (Hybrid car, All electric car, electric weed eater and a bunch of solar.) I think it actually takes me less time to mow more of it than with the riding mower mowing less of it!!It pretty much rocks! It's a little narrow; it would be better if it were, say, a 28 or 30 inch mower, but then you'd need a much bigger motor and bigger batteries to provide the extra torque that would require. As it is, the 4 amp hour batteries (they're in series when it's mowing; in parallel when charging) just barely make it. So I bought a pair of 5 amp hour batteries. I mow both strips with the neighbors and some small grass areas with the original 4 amp hour batteries and then mow the front (the rest) with the new 5 amp hour batteries. Perfect! All the batteries end up with either one or two bars (out of three) left. I'm very sure this is much kinder to the batteries. They're good batteries, by the way. The both always have the same number of bars left after mowing and at any time during charging. The charger, by the way, is a work of art! Really nice charger! It can charge two batteries at the same time and has separate circuits for each battery. It has a temperature controlled cooling fan in it. The mower has a fuse | disconnect thing between the batteries that can be removed, say, for servicing or whatever. I DO NOT leave the batteries in it! I bring them in to protect them from temperatures they wouldn't like. This thing has been absolutely ZERO maintenance so far! I haven't even cleaned it! I'm VERY happy! I have a 3000 square foot building and a huge driveway that wraps around it or I'd have a quarter acre.Lithium batteries are just EXPENSIVE. Get used to it! Given that, it's not really at all expensive!

Title: Total junk
Review: I’ve had this for less than two years maybe 40 cuts.. The lawnmower just dies the battery has full charge the blade to stop working and then won’t get going again. I really want my money back. I’m going to try to contact the company and then I will delete this review if they replace this equipment it’s literally barely used.

Title: Love it!
Review: I've used this mower around 10 times so far, on a slightly hilly two-acre yard, and it has been flawless so far.Very quiet, easy/light to push, excellent even cut, a breeze to clean exterior and underneath after mowing. The batteries last me about 40 minutes but this will vary depending on height of grass, if it is damp, or using a bag or not etc.As with any battery macinery, you always want more batteries and/or chargers than you think you need, it saves time and hassle overall and worth the extra cost.

Review: Nice light and quiet machine. I replaced a 6 HP Briggs and I can do my whole back lawn with 1 bar left on batteries. Quick charge up and do front lawn and boulevard.I will most likely get the matching trimmer and get rid of noisy 2 stroke too.
