Title: Great popper!
Review: Due to the sheer volume of popcorn we eat as a family, I feel as though I'm qualified to rate this, and most other poppers. Stove top oil poppers can't be beat, except for the fatty oils, and the amount of time required to babysit the many batches required for a large family. Shake'n'pop type poppers used over a fire are still my favorite for tender popped corn, but a sealed gas fireplace took care of that possibility.I have owned many air poppers, and I would rate this Presto popper as good as any. The first batch always comes out tender, which I try and set aside before the kids gets their grubby little hands on it. Follow up batches can be less tender, unless I take off the top plastic section and let it cool down for a couple of minutes before running the next batch (which I always do). Thank goodness for multiple poppers. The plastic measuring cup on top shouldn't be used for melting butter. Well, it's fine if you do, but if you plan on popping multiple batches the kernels will get stuck in the butter goo when measuring for the next batch. Just get a food grade plastic squirt bottle, fill it with butter and stick it in the fridge. Each time you make popcorn just stick the sprayer in the microwave for a minute to melt the butter, spray the popcorn with delicious butter, and stick it back in the fridge for the next batch. Simple and clean! Also, important note..., please always use real butter! Butter is the only way to go, and I think it should be a crime to use margarine or other fake substitutes on popcorn!I noticed some complaints about unpopped kernels being blown out with this popper. My thoughts on this are... wahhhh, no big deal. It's popcorn, I have bigger things to worry about than unpopped kernels of corn being ejected into the big blue popcorn bowls. My trick with unpopped kernels is this... don't eat them! However, I have started to notice a trend that this might be happening more when the popper is already hot. I considered watching the behavior more closely and reporting back, but then realized that it would expose our unnatural love of popcorn, and I don't want to be judged for the ginormous amounts of popcorn we eat. Also, with regards to kernels popping in the bowl after the batch is almost completed... this happens only occasionally. A kernel will pop and blow a few pieces of popcorn out of the bowl, which startles the young ones every single time. No complaints here, the kids think it's great and it always makes them laugh!Anyway, this thing really does pop popcorn (both white and yellow corn). And the price is right too. So stop wasting time not popping popcorn and order it already!*** UPDATE ***Quick update to state that this popper is still going strong after one full year! In fact, I found that I can add 1-1/2 times the recommended amount of corn to the popper, and it pops the additional amount without issue. Yup, we're now popping the same amount of popcorn in a fraction of the time.Long live popcorn... and (hopefully) this popper!

Title: Perfect popcorn every time!
Review: Works great! Pops my popcorn perfectly every time! Love that the back of the machine has a spot to keep the power cord wrapped up for easy storage. Keeping the power cord wrapped up also has an another function for me (which you will see in my video), it keeps the top clear plastic part attached to the base of the machine. Some popcorn is denser than others so sometimes the popcorn doesn’t “jump” out of the machine and stays in the inside of the machine once popped. Once it sounds like all the kernels are popped, I unplug the machine and tip it upside down to get the remaining popcorn out (normally I take the measuring cup off the top before doing so, I forgot in my video and it fell off). Since I have the power cord wrapped around the top and base part of the machine, when I tip it upside down the top clear part does not fall off, it stays in place! Yes I could just take the top off before dumping it but it is very hot to touch, easier to keep it all connected! I don’t like to leave cooked popcorn sitting in the machine after cooking since it’s hot, I don’t want the popcorn to burn, want to dump it out right away!I personally don’t like using the measuring cup on top to melt butter, I strictly use it for measuring the popcorn kernels. I find it easier to melt my butter in a glass measuring cup in the microwave, easier to pour on the popcorn!I would like to point out that different sizes, brands and types of popcorn kernels all act different while popping! When you are popping small kernels you are more likely to have the kernels pop out of the machine before they are popped (beware they are hot to the touch). And with small kernels the popcorn itself is lighter and once cooked all comes out of the popcorn machine. Big popcorn kernels don’t pop out of the machine as much while cooking and the popcorn itself is denser. The bigger/denser popcorn doesn’t always come out of the machine, it needs to be dumped out after it’s done cooking. You can experiment for yourself on different kinds of popcorn!Overall my family and I are loving our new popcorn machine since our last one from the 1980’s finally bit the dust! We make popcorn almost every night and we recommend this machine!

Title: Worked great the first five times.
Review: Worked great. Now it doesn’t work at all. Only used about 5 times.Edit: Changed to 4 stars. Issue was my 9 year old added 2 full scoops of popcorn instead of just one. This caused the unit to overheat and shut off. Dumped the kernels out, let it cool and we are back to popping.

Title: Well Done presto, but you could have added an ON/OFF button
Review: I had a West Bend for a long time then it went south after 5 years, then I purchased a similar model of the same brand that died in 2½ months. The RMA process with West Bend is almost the cost of the product for shipping.so.... I started looking for a better replacement.Being an avid fan of air popped popcorn I knew what I wanted and the previous model had all but none of those. When I came across this model I noticed that it was really designed well and the chute was slightly longer and wider than most other manufacturers. So I did a bit more research and thought this just might fit the bill. The instructions are super simple, and yes, I read the instructions. This kind of product has do's and don't and instructions how to make the best bowl of air popped popcorn. The scoop provided makes a perfect amount for a 4½qt bowl.Even though there are unpopped kernels that get thrown in the bowl during the popping cycle, that's normal and this product has less of those than any I have had in the past. (Thumbs up for that)The only thing I could see that may be helpful is an ON/OFF button. You have to get everything loaded and then plug the popper in. It would be so much better to be able to plug in the device and push a button to start and stop it. Not to down the product, but this could be a bit of a safety issue especially if making popcorn in the kitchen area or arching from the plug when plugging it in or unplugging it.Makes awesome popcorn though. I hope it lasts a long time.

Review: Tener en cuenta que se necesita un recipiente con la suficiente capacidad para recibir las palomitas. Me gustó que todos los granos se cocinan y las palomitas salen bastante infladas.

Review: Seller misrepresented themselves as a UK seller called Junipers-UK. Have now changed to Junipers-USA. This item is useless here. And they want me to pay postage to send it back, to the USA! DO NOT BUY.
