Title: I was so excited for this cookbook to come out - and not disappointed in the least!
Review: Watching author Katie Jacobs test recipes for this cookbook over the past year or so, I was SO excited for this cookbook to come out and I was not disappointed in the least. It's a beautiful, very well thought out cookbook, with gorgeous photos taken by the author who is a talented food photographer and stylist in her own right.There are lots of cookie recipes of course, but this cookbook has incorporated chocolate chips into ice cream cones, cakes, pies, bars, ice cream and more. The beginning of the book goes over the various ingredients common to the recipes and explains with excellent details the WHY of room temperature vs. cold butter, different types of sugar, etc. Each recipe has a difficulty rating as well as icons to indicate if the dough needs to be chilled, if a mixer is required, etc.It's a beautiful book to look at, but more importantly, the recipes are innovative and I'm sure all foolproof. I tried the Nutella-Stuffed Chocolate Chip cookies and they were super easy to make (detailed instructions that were easy to follow), and were absolutely delicious! Title: Couldnât possibly love this book more
Review: A cookbook dedicated to chocolate chip cookies? Yes please! I borrowed this from the library and returned it at lightning speed. Because I decided right away I was going to need my very own copy of this one. There are so many recipes I want to try from this. Itâs more than just recipes though. The tips, tricks and details are superb.

Title: You wonât want to miss this cookie cookbook!
Review: The Chocolate Chip Cookie Book by Katie Jacob caught my attention because I couldnât quite believe that someone could devote an entire cookbook to just chocolate chip cookies. Then as I scanned the table of contents, I began to get excited and couldnât wait to delve into the actual recipes. I loved the way the author covered details that most of us never figure out, for example explaining how rolling versus using a scoop will result in different surface textures or how ingredients and technique impact your cookie. Where was this cookbook when I was wondering about those flat cookies?And thatâs before you get to the actual recipes most of which are anything but your grandmotherâs chocolate chip cookies. There are plenty of cookie recipes, each rated for difficulty, but what made my heart beat faster were all of the non-cookie recipes. Some of my favorites are the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with salted caramel and the chocolate chip cookie dough fudge. (I reviewed an advance reader copy and all opinions are my own.). This is one book that you will definitely want on your cookbook shelf.
