Jump right into the action with the TUF Gaming F17. Stream and multitask with ease thanks to a 12th Gen Intel® Core™ CPU and blisteringly fast DDR4 RAM on Windows 11. Leverage the full gaming performance of the GeForce RTX 30 Series GPU with a dedicated MUX Switch.
READY FOR ANYTHING – Jump straight into the action with Windows 11, a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12500H processor, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU at 95W Max TGP.
FAST MEMORY AND STORAGE – Multitask quickly with 16GB of DDR4-3200MHz memory and speed up loading times with 512GB of PCIe 3.0. Upgrading the storage is a breeze with the addition SSD slot.
NEVER MISS A MOMENT – Keep up with the pros thanks to its FHD 144Hz display. With Adaptive-Sync the display synchronizes with the GPU’s output to reduce lag, minimize stuttering, and eliminate visual tearing for ultra-smooth gameplay.
BLOW AWAY THE COMPETITION – High core count CPUs create more heat when at full load. The TUF Gaming F17 is equipped to handle its high-power CPU with an upgraded pair of 84-blade Arc Flow Fans.
MUX SWITCH - A MUX Switch increases laptop gaming performance by 5-10% by routing frames directly from the dGPU to the display bypassing the iGPU.

Title: Phenomenal build quality. Excellent performance.
Review: First off, presentation is key. The plastic feels amazing to the touch and definitely seem like they'll hold up during the lifespan of this beefy laptop. I was looking for something to not only outperform my old HP, but hopefully outlive it as well. Now I'm certain user error was to blame in shortening the lifespan of my previous laptop (such as leaving it in a hot car this drying out the thermal paste) but it's build wasn't all too phenomenal to begin with. It wasn't exactly built with upgradability or durability in mind and had a pretty lackluster cooling solution for a machine with an AMD chip (nothing wrong with team red or team blue, they just happen to have different draw backs and thermal efficiency has been an issue with AMD from what I've heard). The Asus TUF F17 is built to a military spec and has a bottom panel designed to give easy access to upgrade slots (a second M.2 and dual channel RAM) and also reveals the dual fan, heat piped the heck out thermal solution that will ultimately serve as the back bone of this glorious machine when it comes to preventing its premature death. (That and hopefully a lack of user error like leaving it in a hot car or using it on my bed...)As for actually usage, I haven't gotten around to it just yet but I can certainly note the quality of the keyboard. The clicks feel solid and don't feel gooey like the sensation some cheap switches provide. The travel distance is quite nice as well. Many laptops have too short a travel distance for my taste but I feel this simulates a desktop keyboard quite nicely. The mouse pad isn't oversized, as I'm sure you saw in the photos, but I would argue that the size is perfect for average usage and it definitely isn't undersized. The plastic on the surface of the touchpad feels very quality as well. There's no give underneath and it has a soft feel that I'll never get tired of.On a final note, I can say the screen is of high quality as well with little signs of backlight seepage from the edges. No dead pixels, excellent color for the frequent movie watcher, and a nice smoothness generated by the 144Hz refresh rate. Also, the screen half isn't very flimsy either. Quite the opposite. You could surely open and close this thing a thousand times in one sitting without a single issue. However, I think the standard 1920 by 1080 resolution is a bit sub par - just a hot take. I'm also spoiled by the desktop setup which features a 120Hz with a 4k resolution so do keep my bias in mind. Actually, after using the laptop for a bit I'm quite used to it and the screen actually looks fairly sharp. So go Asus! (Maybe I shouldn't put my face so close to the screen all the time...)I may post updates about actual hardware performance at a later date. Just note for now that if it's build quality your after this is the laptop for you. I purchased this one at a bargain price of around $650 for the holidays so my review does have some bias from that. (MSRP was about $850 at time of purchase but is now listed at around $899)I have had time to test the camera and yeah.... I will never understand why laptop cameras are so horrible. But the microphone is nice! Even dual channel! That's another selling point as far as I'm concerned!

Title: Great specs at a great deal
Review: Ordered this for my brother. What a deal though the specs are really good for the price. The exterior is durable and good looking. Highly recommend this a gamer, as well as anyone getting it for someone who might be a little rough like a teenager.

Title: good performance, buy a cooling pad
Review: It's a lovely gaming machine for the money, able to run most games I have a very high graphics and still have decent to excellent performance. Added an 8G RAM stick from my previous older version of this machine, helped it a lot so I'd recommend expanding the ram. It really doesn't like to run on battery tho so if that's something you're regularly doing it might not be the best, I get about an hour and a half of office work using a cad modeling program at minimum settings. This bebeh gets really hot, more so than my previous versions of this same brand and type, I recommend getting a cooling pad for it if you're going to run high demand graphics games. I've checked the fans and they're both doing their do at the speeds they're supposed to, it's just a monster. It cools down really quickly once the demand drops so the cooling system is pretty good, just gets overwhelmed. If you're looking for a gaming machine or a graphics processing tool then this one is an excellent choice if you're close to power sources.

Title: It is indeed TUF
Review: Purchased as a replacement for my old Asus of 8 years. Couch gaming + surfing were the main needs, went with this one because of the refresh rate and the specs for the price.Pros: Screen looks great, battery life is solid, keyboard feels good for gaming. Build quality feels good.Cons: Heat exhaust is on the bottom so if you're using it on your lap while gaming, your legs will get boiled like a lobster at red lobster.

Title: I'm buying another one.
Review: I originally purchased the 15" version for around $650, 3 weeks ago...then this 17" went on sale for $699. I feel like this is ~200 under most other locations. I'm returning the 15" and keeping this new one. It's a steal! Mine came with a single 8GB stick. I order 2x32GB sticks at the same time I had ordered this new laptop. All of the documentation I saw, showed that the chipset could support up to 64GB, but ASUS says only 24GB is maximum. Whatever. I took a chance. I immediately took the case off, and installed the 2x32GB chips (8GB removed) and the system sees all 64GB of RAM. This is a no brainer, folks. RTX3050, modern CPU, 64GB of RAM for nerds like me and an extra m.2 slot if your initial size is too small. This machine is on sale for $699 right now! it's listed for 899 everywhere else. Also, it doesn't say this in the description, and based on the model I got, ASUS's own website couldn't confirm - but this model comes with the Thunderbolt 4 port and not the USB-C standard port. That was a pleasant surprise, as well. I think I just convinced myself to buy a 2nd one before this sale ends - or someone fixes the price. =)CoD is beautiful on it, too. =p

Title:
Review: Over all it is very good. I would like to know how to keep the keyboard one colour. I wish the keys had have been white. After playing around and checking things out I found how to do it myself. I now have it set at one colour. I could of turned off the lights but the colour makes the keys easier to see. I am proud of myself. I am 72.
