PERSIAN RICE–STUFFED BUTTERNUT SQUASH
Dried cherries, pistachios and ready-cooked rice make an easy, flavorful stuffing. Roasted butternut squash is the perfect cooking vessel, with extra-easy cleanup!
LAMB MEATBALLS WITH ZUCCHINI, TOMATOES AND YOGURT TAHINI SAUCE
Combine spiced, minted lamb meatballs, zucchini, cherry tomatoes and a splash of olive oil on a sheet pan, put it in the oven and spend the next 25 minutes relaxing, waiting for this fresh, aromatic meal to finish cooking.
DECADENT CARROT CAKE WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
Children, including those who claim an aversion to vegetables, are drawn to carrot cake. Perhaps it’s because the carrots create a moistness that plays up the sweet spices of the cake, and accent the component everyone loves most: the tangy cream cheese icing.

Title: Can't wait to start using these recipes.
Review: Book arrived today, very quick! Excellent condition. I started reading it right away - i read cookbooks the way most people read novels! (LOL) Many of the recipes are simple and innovative, made with many regular found-at-a-regular supermarket ingredients. But one thing that i was most impressed by - measurements are listed both in US AND metric measurements! US on the left side of the ingredients list, Metric on the right side! I've never seen this with the MANY cookbooks i own. I'm sure it's because it is published by a Canadian company, and meant to be user friendly in both countries!

Title: Great Looking Sheet Pan Meals.
Review: The cookbook was in good condition and arrived when it said it would. The book has storage tips, variations to the recipe and suggestions about accompaniments. I'm glad I bought this book. Easy to read and 3 batches of pictures. I can't wait to try the recipes they look great. I would definitely give this as a gift.

Title: No Sheet? Go get one.
Review: When it comes to meals these days, most of the time I am low on cash and out of ideas, not to mention living in an area that, for people who enjoy cooking, could be called âingredient challengedâ, I thought this book might provide some realistic solutions instead of sending me on a hunt for fresh avocado leaves and annatto seed.In choosing â200 Best Sheet Pan Recipesâ I was not disappointed. So many simple concepts that are a snap to shop, easy to prep and even easier to cook. As another reviewer pointed out, and I was grateful for this tip, not al of the dishes are âthrow it on the sheet and bake for 40 minutesâ simple in that you must first pre-cook some of the ingredients, when you think of it, a fairly obvious. Not that big if a deal, since for the most part it involves stuff I usually do anyway, like grilling chicken parts or searing a steak. The recipes cover a wide range from simple pantry meals through desserts, organized by type of main ingredient- here, vegetarian, fish, chicken and meat. I appreciate the way Saulsbury list ingredient amounts in both US and metric measure by listing them on either side of the column, it may not be an uncommon method, but I have not seen it that frequently.I suspected a mere cookie sheet would not suffice, so for under $20 I found a nice sheet pan as the author specifies (18 X 13â with a 1â lip) and off I went.I tried a few from each group, my most recent was the Southeast Asian Tuna Burgers, super easy, made from items typically found in my pantry and fridge, and even though it involved a side slaw, there is really a negligible amount of prep and even less actually cooking than other methods, while not all the recipes are this simple, I am enjoying this new method. (Italian Sausage and Pepper was another favorite, and hard to imagine doing it any easier way.)It is also an argument for electric ovens, while there is no way I would ever consider an electric range even plausible for anything more complex than boiling water, and I have my doubts about that), you canât beat an e-oven for consistency. At least, not in the price range of ordinary consumers, that is, the cheapest electric oven is probably better than its gas counterpart at even and precisely controlled heat. But letâs not argue about that, not now. Get a sheet and get cookin!

Title: Some successes, but some disappointments too.
Review: I'm going to divide this review into the pro and con sections to better illustrate my star rating.PRO:The book is a convenient size (approx. 7"x10") with 240 pages. The information concerning the size and metal material your sheet pan must be is very good and the information about using foil or parchment paper lining is good to know. There is a tip for how to remove the baked on brown bits that may have accumulated in the corners of the pan.The ingredient measurements are given in both "American" and metric. In the ingredient list they do not intrude upon each other, but within the recipe there are a lot of parentheses. The ingredients are definitely easy to find in a grocery store. You will probably even have enough ingredients already on hand to make some of the recipes immediately.I made Smoked Sausage Hash Brown Casserole (page51), but I made half the recipe since there were only two for dinner that night and used my quarter sheet pan (9"x12" with a 1" rim - not a cookie sheet, still the same commercial grade material as the larger pans). I wish the author had thought to mention this size pan because it is so much more convenient if you are cooking for two or three people. You get the same heavy gauge metal, just in a smaller size. The recipe was easy to make but I had learned my lesson about blandness by now so I added black pepper, garlic powder, and a smidge of cayenne. It was delicious with hot biscuits. Breakfast for dinner!Another recipe I have tried is Roasted Chicken with Butternut Squash, Apples and Thyme (page 144). This went very well and was very good. I had not thought about pairing butternut squash and apples and that was a success. I did switch out the dried thyme for mixed Italian herbs because we like that flavor combination better.CON:This book makes me realize how visually oriented I am with a cookbook. There are three sections in the book which each have eight full color recipe photographs - a total of 24 pictures in this book. Out of 200 recipes only 24 are in color. This bothered me.There is no "color" on the pages. Everything is white paper, black print, grey heading box. This also bothered me.I try to follow a recipe the way it is written the first time, but these recipes are bland. So far, of the recipes I've tried, we thought most needed more flavor and one failed completely.I was going to a meeting at the home of a friend so I offered to bring the main brunch item to cook there: Broccoli Cheddar No-Crust Quiche (page 18). I even took my sheet pan so everybody could see what I'm talking about when I mention one-pan oven meals. (I do a lot of one-pan dinners.) The recipe was easy to assemble, it cooked well, but everyone thought it needed more flavor. This was the opinion of six women.I made the Blackberry Buckle (page 37) but substituted blueberries since we don't like blackberries. I did not have self-rising flour so I followed the "Tip" for turning all-purpose into self-rising. First, the recipe says to use melted vanilla ice cream but it never tells you the ice cream should be warm. When that melted but still cold ice cream hit that melted butter and flour it turned into mega-lumps that required beating on high with an electric hand mixer to make it resemble any type of cake batter. Once the buckle was cooked, the baking powder (used to make all-purpose into self-rising flour) taste was so overwhelming it burned the mouth of everyone who tried it. The entire thing - minus four wedges - went into the trash. So my overall feeling is that the book is visually boring, but my advice is to trust your own instincts for how you like to season your food but use this book to help you learn or increase your recipes for that most wonderful idea of a full meal prepared on one pan in the oven. I couldn't do without them after experimenting with sheet pan recipes for several years. Also, last year I heard about a way to double - no triple the delight of Rice Crispy Treats by using browned butter. That recipe is included in this book so if you haven't tried that yet............well, just try to get some of the treats on the pan so your family can at least get a taste!

Title: Not very main pictures and too many recipes that are not entrees
Review: I like to see pictures of the meals I am making - this cookbook does not have very many. It also lacking in dinner recipes with more pantry, meatless and sweets (I does have about 42 poultry dinners - not what I was looking for).
