Title: Comfortable, warm, and stylish
Review: I got these boots despite some negative reviews and I am glad I tried it! I got a size 12 which is what I usually wear in closed toed shoes since I have wide feet. With flip flops or sandals I could pull off a size 11. Size 12 worked great for me and was comfortable with regular thin crew socks as well as fleece lined merino wool socks.I wore these almost every day for a 7 day trip, some days walking all day with it and had absolutely no problem. I sometimes get heel pain from walking with unsupported shoes but never had trouble with these. The shoes stayed dry for me even without additional water repellent spray. I wore them through rain and even walked on snow where the boots sunk in several inches - I stayed dry and warm throughout in 30 -35 degree F weather.I am very impressed and glad I went with this rather than more expensive ones.

Title: Run short in length
Review: UPDATE: I wore these all week in Montana, even on the plane:) It was in the upper 20’s. My feet were comfortable and warm though sometimes I added Hot Feet inserts. They really do keep your feet warm. They fit nicely under my snow pants. Only once did I have an issue when I stepped in a high snow bank getting out of the snow coach in Yellowstone, as I was not wearing snow pants and the snow got in the top of my boot. They were a little slippery on ice but at least I was warm. The inserts are snug but with finagling are removable. Very happy with my purchase. Fit was great ordering up a half size. Highly recommend.ORIGINAL: Heading to Montana, but live in Florida, so I needed warm SNOW BOOTS without breaking the bank. I did a lot of research on Columbia’s website and was going to order them there but they ran out of stock. Luckily, Amazon had them in my size and competitively priced, I got an even better deal as an open box item, that to me looked like they never worn, they looked brand new, with tags. Normally I am between an 8 & 8.5. I ordered the 8.5 to accommodate 2 pairs of socks. I was surprised that one pair of socks was slightly snug so if you want extra room order up another half size. The souls are nicely constructed with plenty of grooves for traction on snow and ice. They are suede, material and rubber on the top. They lace up and because they lace up I’m sure water could seep into this area but it is a one piece tongue that is sealed off from the inside of the boot. Snow won’t get in, water from rain or a puddle I’m not sure. The highest point is 7.5 inches, I would not want them higher as it could be an issue with snow pants. They have a fuzzy fleece lining on the inside rim of the boot. They are insulated but wear proper socks to stay warm. They are not heavy on your feet. Overall I’m happy with my purchase and confident based on Amazon and Columbia’s reviews that getting these boots for $48 as an open box was a fantastic deal.

Title: Order 1/2 size bigger and warm socks
Review: Update 1/19/24: So after this extreme cold and snow the past week, I've had a good chance to try these boots out. I'm downgrading a star. Wore this in about 7 inches of snow, temps in the mid to low teens for about an hour. Had on some almost medium thick socks, more the soft and comfy type. My toes were frigid cold by the hour mark. Ran out to the store, they were perfect for that, no issues noted. Then I picked up some thicker mens thermal socks from Tractor Supply, 20% merino wool, polyester, cotton, nylon blend(why is it so difficult to find 100% cotton or wool socks anymore??) Snow was about 4 inches now mixed with ice, temps were mid to upper teens. I was outside about 1 1/2-2 hours. Did some hiking in the woods on my property. It was right about that hour and a half mark my toes were starting to get cold. So maybe a thin pair of socks under the thermal socks would work. I don't know, I find that a bit disappointing though. But, at no point did I ever have a problem with wetness or anything seeping inside the boots, aside from a deeper snow bank and snow coming in through the top. So that's a plus, the waterproof definitely held up. They still felt comfortable walking around in. My gravel driveway was a sheet of ice, and that was slick I almost fell. I don't fault the boots on that, ice is slippery unless you're wearing spikes. So, great boots for running around doing errands to keep your feet dry, and not terribly slippery, ok for short bouts of being out in several inches of snow, and wear thicker socks or even two pairs with one thicker if plan is to be out in several inches of snow for a period of time.I normally wear a 9 1/2 wide width womens. Wide wasn't offered and I went ahead and ordered a size 10 thinking I can put thicker socks on if needed. Glad I did that, these have about 1/2 inch room for my toes. I think the 9 1/2 would've been too small for me or been a "just perfect" fit(I like a bit of room for moving around) and I would've had to only wear thinner socks.I only wore these around for a few minutes to test them out in case I needed to return them. No snow, ice, no reason for me to wear them for an extended time at this point. They were very comfortable and cushiony. I have a very wide foot, and was hesitant because these weren't offered in a wide width. But upsizing the 1/2 size I think helped that, and I don't feel the snugness on the sides of my feet that's typical with normal narrower shoes. Feels like there's just a tad bit of extra room on the side of my foot. They're cute boots, got the lavender/grey ones mainly due to price. And the price was ok considering it's a name brand, which I hope means they'll hold up. They seem warm, but again, only used them a few minutes with regular socks on in 40°F temps. No rain, snow, ice to test out the water resistance. As for support, I have high arches as well. In the few minutes of walking around, I didn't notice anything that would point to potential problems with support. Like I said, they were very comfortable.I bought these on a whim, just had a strong feeling winter boots (that fit, my regular pair is too large for me) and some snow pants were something I needed this year. Don't know why, I don't have to shovel my driveway since it's gravel/dirt and have a 4WD vehicle, nor do I play in the snow anymore. Just followed my gut feeling to buy them. Overall happy with these and will update if any problems.

Title: Super comfy!
Review: It’s summer and about 100 degrees out but I am planning a winter trip so I got these during prime day. They are real very comfortable and feel like they’ll be nice and warm but I cannot attest to the warmth part for a few months!

Title: Comfortable, fairly warm, runs a little big
Review: I bought these to wear on a ski trip. I usually wear a 7.5 and that’s what I ordered but they seem to run a half size big. But the extra space allowed for two pairs of socks which made them fit perfect. They were light weight and were comfy to wear through the airports and out shopping around town. My feet stayed warm enough, I wouldn’t plan to wear them for an extended time of walking in the cold and snow. All in all they worked well for what I needed them for.

Review: I loved those. I actually bought the taller version first, and then this one at a good price. It’s comfortable - my feet are incredibly fussy, everything gives them blisters and such. I’m a size 10 with a bit of a wide feet (wider right before the toes area) and got them in 10.5. They’re roomy but not in a bad way, I can easily slide my feet in with heavier socks on. Because they are light I don’t feel like I’m dragging my feet as I do with my duck boots from the famous Maine brand, and I feel they’re a bit “bouncy”, giving me decent support. I walk a lot and I walk everywhere, and I’ve had them on for weeks now, sometimes all day long, with no discomfort whatsoever and no break in period required. They feel a bit too firm around the ankles at first, but I actually found this good, giving me proper support. They seem to be water resistant at the very least, having walked under light rain and stepping into puddles with no problem. Decent traction, tested on wet, mild hikes with some steep bits. They look cute, so I don’t have any problems going anywhere (friends’s houses, college, etc) with them. Highly recommended, they’re now my go-to cold weather boots - for the record, I got them instead of the omnipresent weatherproof Chelsea boot (you know which one). I’ve tried a pair of those and despite the fact that they’re sold as a “go with everything” model, they kinda made me look frumpy/sloppy and they definitely did not do any favours for my rather larger calves, making my ankles look too skinny in comparison. Despite being a “sporty” kind of boot, the Ice Maiden looked far more discreet and flattering on me.

Review: Nothing to dislike. Beautifully made, size is similar to my Timberland non-winter boots so don't go buying a bigger size. Not lined with omni-heat layer though
