Title: A thin, effective electric blanket!
Review: If you want a thick electric blanket, look elsewhere. But if you need a thinner blanket fabric, read on!I've had several electric blankets over the years, all of them a thick, plush fabric, and that seems to be the standard across the products offered. All have been too thick, heavy and warm for my use except on the coldest nights. I have been searching for a thinner electric blanket to make my sleep more comfortable in my West Texas climate.I finally found it with this Sunbeam blanket. It is Much thinner than the typical plush blanket, so be aware of this fact if you order it. The heating function works well, the blanket is not heavy on top and gives me adequate warmth and comfort without heating, until the night temps drop enough to make heating necessary.This might not be your 'cup of tea' in blankets, but it certainly is mine! I'm very pleased with its construction and performance.

Title: One of my favorite things!
Review: My husband likes to keep the house icy cold all year round. I was annoyed that I had to freeze even in the summer time and usually we can't sleep in the same room due to me being cold and him being hot. My friend mentioned electric blanket, and I immediately went online and bought this one. I wish I had thought of it long time ago. This blanket is such a dream! Every time I wrap myself in it, I feel like I'm sunbathing on a Hawaiian beach. I use it every day at my computer desk, and its so comfy I usually fall asleep at my desk instead of going to bed at night! The 3hr auto-shut off is a nice feature, but it would be nice to be able to control the timer myself (not complaining, though!)Pros: Baby soft texture, works 100% in keeping me toasty warm, never gets too hot to a point where I feel like I'm burning. For a throw, it has good coverage - I can use it as a full size blanket that covers me from neck to feet (I'm5'4.5"). Can snap off the cord at the edge of blanket if you need to leave the room for a minute but want to remain wrapped.Cons: The cord is a bit awkward logistically, with the control console that dangles at an odd location. Not much of a big deal, but since I have to think of something "con" to write, I will note this curious cord placement issue. Cools off rather rapidly when it turns off or disconnects (within 3 mins). Keep your visit to the kitchen short when going hunting for your midnight snacks; the withdrawal could be cruel - LOL. Not big enough to share, as it wraps one person only comfortably (I wish they had various sizes). I'm curiously annoyed about the difference in the prices depending on the color!? What is up with that??? Supply and demand? Seems a bit silly.All in all, I highly recommend it. For this price, it certainly doesn't disappoint. Enjoy!I'm buying a whole bunch of them as Christmas gifts for everyone this year. I'm glad I got to test it out before I gave this as a gift. It passed my test with flying colors. The only thing I'm concerned about is what I'm reading in here from others; that it may have a short life span (it stops working after few months?). Since I've only had mine for about one month, I'd be very disappointed if it breaks on me soon. I hope it lasts the winter season, at least! I'll let you know.

Review: Got this blanket cause I’m recovering from stomach surgery so the warmth of this is perfect. It’s really soft on my stomach!Since it’s fall and cold weather is coming it’s perfect for those cozy cold nights!I LOVE that it only has one power cord for both sides of the blanket!

Title: Good economy heating blanket
Review: I’ve been using Sunbeam electric blankets throughout the house for decades. They all seem to last about 5 years or so. This model seems has fewer features than the others I’ve owned.On the plus side, it is soft and gets warm quickly and a is very warm when set to the highest setting. The display is nicely backlit in a blue color, easy to view and it dims after a minute or so after the last time it was operated. When it’s dim, the light is still readable and not too bright. It has an adjustable auto-shutoff timer selectable from 1 to 12 hours.When comparing it to the older one that it replaced, I notice that the fabric is thinner and the blanket isn’t as heavy. It might not be as durable as the old one but I can’t predict the future. The heating element inside the blanket doesn’t go all the way to the right and left sides. It stops about a foot or more from each side so all the blanket isn’t fully heated.This is a dual Control queen size blanket and unlike the old one, it doesn’t share a single 120 volt plug. It has two separate power plugs which is a bit inconvenient and a waste of limited outlets by the bed. Additionally, there is no automatic preheat timer feature. Another observation is that the blanket setting has no memory - meaning whenever it’s turned off, it loses both the heat and auto turnoff settings it was just set to. This requires each control to be reset every night as it always defaults to midway for both heat and shutoff. It defaults to 6 hours shutoff and a 6 (out of 12) heat level. It comes with a 5 year warranty.I still give it 4 stars because as an economy blanket, it’s a good value for the price even with these minor inconveniences. And in fact, I bought a second one two days later. .

Review: This is a light weight blanket meant to go over your top sheet. Not on the mattress directly.The single control is lit and easy to use - even for a 94 year young mother-in-law. It heats fast. Twelve levels make it easy to pick what is right for you. It even has a self-set timer to shut off automatically. She loves it. Sunbeam is still a reliable product. Thx.
