Title: Pretty good
Review: This book has a *tonne* of recipes in it. Looking through the table of contents I love the fact that there are pages of each type of recipe, like one hundred cake recipes, fifty pie recipes...I only wish there were photos of the completed recipes, but the price I paid was worth it for what I got. My girlfriend loves it.

Title: Great recipes and easy to understand instructions
Review: My Kindle is full of various types of recipe books and I havenât been tempted to download any more until I came across this â a thousand recipes for $1? Hard to resist. Though, of course, you can put a low price on anything and from my experience, a lot of kindle books are the âyou get what you pay forâ kind. That being said, Emma Katieâs baking recipe book is far from this and in fact offers much more than I was expecting. The recipes are laid out in a clear, instructional manner and, most importantly, the foods all seem tasty and of a high quality (my favorite so far being the Walnut Banana Muffins). One thing that particularly stood out to me is how the nutritional values are also mentioned â Iâm currently watching my caloric intake at the moment, so this is of course very welcome.

Title: Recipes tried tasted bad and were missing key ingredients...no index...so hard to use. sorry cannot give a good review.
Review: Looked appealing online.I picked 2 recipes to start the journey in this book and found one was completely missing sugar (for breakfast muffins) and the other made muffins that were like hockey pucks. The recipes are abundant but do not appear tested or well-thought out. Also the lack of index to give any organization to the 1000+ recipes makes this book unusable. You have to flip through the entire book (or at least through entire sections if you've figured out what general category of item to bake) if you have something in mind and are looking for it. For example, if you want something with blueberries, and if you're not sure if you want to make blueberry pie or blueberry muffins, you'll need to go to each section (pie section then muffin/cupcake section) and look at every recipe within each section. Not acceptable for most people to use.And not a single photo or illlustration. It's going back. This is coming from someone who is an experienced hobby-baker and enjoys all cookbooks--this being the exception.

Title: Perfect collection of baking recipes
Review: I have way too many cookbooks and have to flip through them to find favorite recipes for baking. I went in search of a massive baking recipes collection and was thrilled to find author Emma Katie's new book. There are over 1,000 recipes here and they are both varied and delicious. I need things well-explained and each of these recipes definitely is. So far I have made the Gingerbread Chocolate Cake, Confetti Cookies, and the French Spice Cake in preparation for the holidays. All delicious! I love that there are also sections in the book on baking ingredients and equipment. A well-rounded and comprehensive cookbook that is now one of my favorites.

Review: This cookbook is excellent value for money, with an amazing array of baking, organised into cakes, muffins and cupcakes, cheesecakes, puddings and healthy desserts. There is a useful guide to equipment and techniques at the beginning. Measures are in cups, since this is an American book, but equivalent weights can easily be obtained on the net if you want them and actually, measuring in cups is quick and easy. Some US books have an off-putting array of American ingredients which aren't available in the UK but this one seems to transfer pretty well, with most ingredients freely available here. Each recipe has nutritional information and a calorie count, which I find very useful. There are no photographs, which is the reason the book can be sold so cheaply. In view of the price, I have still awarded the book five stars, because it will enable me (with gritted teeth!) to get rid of some of my paper books and tidy up my house! It is worth the money for the fantastic array of bread puddings alone. A valuable addition to my electronic library.

Review: This book is amazing, full of fantastic recipes. Not fussed that there aren't any photos, considering thevspaxe is taken up with recipes and I can pretty much guess what a cake looks like! One reviewer dismissed the book br saying the recipes were American. Among the ingredients listed for recipes are digestive biscuits, golden syrup, black treacle, etc, which are not American ingredients. With the exception of one or two speciality items, everything can be bought in your average British supermarket. The measurements however are in cups rather than metric. So what. I bought myself a pair of American cup measures online very inexpensively and I'm good to go. So much to bake, so little time!
