Review: So much better than dealing with a bag of frozen peas! I feel like at this point, I’m an unofficial “expert” in shopping for ice packs. 😉 I have severe degenerative disc disease and deal with debilitating chronic neck and back pain (and chronic daily migraine, trigeminal neuralgia, severe arthritis in knees, hip arthritis/bursitis, SI joint issues, etc.), so I’m constantly treating my pain and inflammation by rotating using reusable ice packs throughout the day and night. I have an entire shelf in a wider style/French door style freezer dedicated just to keeping ice packs cold at all times.Over the past 10 years, I’ve tried several different brands and types of reusable ice packs—clay packs (don’t stay cold long enough for my needs, too small), super expensive squishy gel packs with spandex fabric covering (feel good but don’t stay cold for long, and are also heavy for their size and require sealing in zip top bags during freezing so they don’t expand by absorbing water from the small amount of humidity in the freezer), flexible gel packs (similar style, “guaranteed” but only last 6 months or so before leaking). But it seems even the most expensive ice packs aren’t durable enough for the amount of frequent, constant use I put them through.I purchased 2 of these and as soon as they arrived yesterday, I popped them into the freezer (which is set to the coldest setting), and they froze rather quickly. So far these appear to be just as well made as the ones that are the same size and shape but cost 2x as much. And while the liquid inside makes a “crinkling” sound when frozen, they still remained fairly flexible, even when frozen for several hours. I have no idea what some commenters are talking about when they mention that these freeze and become rock hard— after 5 minutes or so at standard room temp (~68 degrees F), the ice packs are flexible enough for me to wrap around my neck.And here’s what I’ve found over the years- when an ice pack is advertised to remain completely flexible when frozen, then it’s most likely not going to remain cold for very long. So it’s a trade off: if you want a REALLY COLD ice pack, it will probably be a little bit stiffer at first. It’s not that big of a deal for me to let my body heat and the room temp help soften the ice pack for a few minutes.I use ice packs so often that I sewed some fabric covers that happened to fit these perfectly (just a long rectangular tube shaped “narrow pillowcase” of fabric, with a button on the open end, and an elastic loop sewn into the seam of the other end). I highly recommend that you always protect your skin from the cold temperatures by placing a thin kitchen towel, t-shirt or large bandana, etc. between you and the ice pack.I used one of the ice packs last night while I slept and it remained perfectly cold for several hours, even under several layers of warm bedding. I’ll update my review if anything changes, but so far I think these ice packs are well made and worth every penny. These are such a good deal that I’m planning to purchase at least a couple more, since I rotate them so frequently.EDIT: One month later and still going strong! just purchased 2 more, so I can rotate using them throughout the day/night! These work just as well, are holding up just like the ones I used to buy that were 2x the price! So glad I found these!

Title: Good ice pack
Review: I’ve only used this a short while so I can’t speak to the durability but it molds well to your back, the Velcro feels strong and fits well around my waist. It covers a big area which is helpful too. It’s very cold and stays cold the whole time it’s on your body. I haven’t used it for heat but my intention was only for cold. The one complaint I do have is that there is a chemical smell on the fabric that I can smell very strongly. I hope that dissipates after using it a while. Otherwise I recommend this, it’s a great product.

Title: Soothes My Aching Back
Review: Works with cold or heat, depending upon your need. I use it to sooth my aching back muscles after competitive pickleball matches. The older you get the more muscles decide to ache. This can help with that issue and give support at the same time. Works well.

Review: This is a very good 👍 back brace. It has 2 gel packs, so I keep 1 in the freezer , @ all times, ready to go. And the other one to heat up in microwave, very quickly. Title: Maybe TMI, but then again, you just might learn something...
Review: I bought my first Magic Gel belt Feb 2023. I just bought another one (Sept 2024) so the belt & ice packs work for a long time. I fully expect this one will last another year & a half. I use this belt on my hips & lower back all day, every day. It's very adjustable. I like that I can wear it more on one hip or the other, on my lower back & even higher up on my back...wherever I'm hurting the most at the time. I also like that this belt is quick & easy to take on & off.While I'm wearing one ice pack, the other is in the freezer. I usually wear leggings & a t-shirt so I hang a folded dish towel on the inside of the belt to temper the cold then pull it out as the pack gets more comfy. When it loses its cool, I switch & the other pack is ready to roll. On average, I switch these 2 ice packs 3 to 4 times a day (using each pack 2x). It totally helps to keep the pain meds to a minimum.When I leave the house I'm wearing one ice pack so I put the extra one in a small cooler between some similar-sized generic ones so I can switch them out all day long while I'm on the go. It is important to point out that I don't wear this belt at night. That's just not a good idea but PM is when I use the hands-down best roll-on that has msm (absorbs the med & smell into the muscle in <30 seconds) & glucosamine that absolutely DOES Stopain (that's not a typo)..SKIP THIS PART IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW HOW WELL THIS BELT WORKS ON SEVERE PAIN. So I have severe sciatic entrapment in BOTH hips. I was born with it. It's inoperable. The sciatic nerve is webbed with the piriformis & gluteus medius muscles. All 3 are pulling in different directions. The forces were torquing up my spine. Nobody believed me until I needed a lumbar fusion because the deformity was literally twisting my L5 & L4 vertebrae around. The fusion fixed my lower back but locked the forces down in my hips causing agony there. That gave me an answer right there so I found an awesome hip doc who found the problem & has had to surgically tack my left gluteus medius back onto my hip because it was tearing away from the bone (which feels like a red-hot knife stabbing you). Believe it or not, the fusion was way easier to get over than the hip surgery.TMI? Too bad because for no darn reason, I had an L1 fracture a year ago & I don't even have osteoporosis. That caused L2 & L3 bulging discs & significantly narrowed foramen (holes) where the sciatic nerve exits the spine that are now severely pinching the nerve. So now I have severe sciatic pain from pulling AND pinching...yeah, me! I'm scheduled for a fusion on a fusion where all of that extra pain-causing stuff will be repaired & stabilized later this month by the same great fusion doc as before. I'm counting down the days until I ONLY have the hip pain that I was born with, LOL.Now it makes perfect sense why I could NOT do splits to try out for cheerleading in high school. Why it got too painful to ride my horse. Why I couldn't ride behind my hubby on a motorcycle so I got my own. Squatting pain & not being able to lean forward to ease the pain is a big clue that you have some kind of piriformis issue. Aqua therapy wasn't helpful because all I wanted to do was bend forward in 4 feet of water, blub-blub. Many years, quacks & expensive tests later, my hip doc found this deformity on, are you ready? An X-RAY! Where's an eye-rolling emoji when you need one?Told you that you might learn something. If not you, maybe this info will help someone you know. Review: Cold pack fits inside its own pillowcase. Every night I place it under a big pillow on my bed (pillow keeps the gel colder longer.) I overheat constantly. Now I reach under that pillow to cool myself. Very quickly, I return to sleep again. Each morning, it easily folds to fit a thin shelf in my freezer door. Sleeping so much better now. Thanks so very much for designing this amazing product!

Review: Ist von der Größe her genau richtig.Ich nutze es an wärmeren Tagen um es aufs Kopfkissen zu legen. Es kühlt - wie es soll.Ich muss es nicht erst in den Kühlschrank legen - mir reicht die Kühlung,die es von vorneherein hat ... Wenn es warm wird legt man es weg und wenn man es wieder braucht - kühlt es gleich wieder, ohne dass man es erst noch in den Kühlschrank legen muss.Für mich ideal :-)Ich bin absolut zufrieden.
