Developing elite level striking from leading coaches
The idea behind this book started many years ago. The first major step towards its creation though was in the founding of Warrior Collective. I came up with the name Warrior Collective to signify that it was both martial arts/combat sports related and made up of many individuals coming together.
The Evolution of Martial Arts in Combat Sports sees me bring together 18 truly exceptional coaches from a variety of different martial arts and combat sports backgrounds to showcase how modern-day elite level instructors train their athletes. Each coach chose a topic they wished to cover as the theme of their chapter.
Disciplines featured this book: Muay Thai Kickboxing Taekwondo Boxing Karate MMA
298 pages
With over 2000 colour images and some of the best coaches sharing their own personal methods for elite fighters this book is surely one of a kind.
Each drill or routine is meticulously detailed to showcase every aspect you need to consider. Break it down like never before in this phenomenal book from the best, for the best.
Each coach has their own profile included in the book as well as QR codes directing you to more information and exclusive interviews on the Warrior Collective website
If all of this wasn't enough, the book has been written by Stuart Tomlinson who has travelled the world over the past 10 years with the sole purpose to seek out the best coaches in martial arts. This is the result of this journey... and it's only the beginning!
A message from the author and founder of Warrior Collective Stuart Tomlinson
I started Warrior Collective in order to help create the best martial arts and combat sports resource in the world. Why? From the very first moment I started training in martial arts, I knew that I wanted to improve and get better. I have visited literally thousands of gyms, coaches and athletes over the past decade to ensure that I was able to find the right people to assist me in achieving this. Given that you are here, I am sure you are on this same path as well. It’s an exciting and never-ending journey to be on. This book, as with all my work on Warrior Collective, has been made to help you in the same way it helped me, to learn from people who can guide us to being the best that we can be.
Yours in training,
Stuart

Title: Buy it... It's a goldmine.
Review: Excellent stuff... A real lifes work of research and hard work has gone into putting this together.Everyone will learn lots from this... I've studied muay thai since 85 and now live 2hrs from Bangkok and I'm learning tonnes from it...Added bonus for us old guys in that it'll take you on a nostalgic trip back to magazine articles from the 80s or flicking through fighters notebook in the late 90s.It's also beautifully laid out... I bought the kindle version... But I'm now aching to own the book as it looks so sweet... It must be damn thick as there's so much in here!Congrats to the author on collecting all this and putting it together so wonderfull.10/10...would buy again.Only niggle is the afore mentioned lack of zoom on kindle... But there will be a way round this (even if it's just getting me to an optitions to get some better glasses!)Thank you for this book.

Title: Take my money please!!
Review: Huge fan of all of Stuart Tomlinsons work, and could not wait to buy this book. I have been in combat sports for about 25 years as either a student, competitor or coach, and this is the best striking book I have ever purchased. Stuartâs blending of awesome drills, tactics, whole lessons from an EXCELLENT blend of Muay Thai, Karate and TKD is perfect for 2021-22.My book is filled with notes and is a joy to read and review. The move set breakdowns are some of the best and most detailed Iâve ever seen. I greatly enjoy the Warrior Collective videos, but for lesson planning and refreshing yourself on techniques, I prefer the step by step process shown in the hard copy book.Iâll be buying all of the future sequels! Excellent job gentlemen!

Title: Great book!
Review: Your book is so well done! I'm a 48-year martial artist who is always looking to gain new information. You have so many great trainers and coaches in this book that I know I'm going to come away with a bag full of knowledge! I'm a huge fan of Damien Trainor, and Liam Harrison, and from what I can see I'm going to be a huge fan of the rest of your coaches as well! I love the step-by-step picture graphics with detailed instructions underneath. It is very easy to follow the techniques. I've been following you on social media for a while, so I got my book the first week it came out! Merry Christmas to me! ðð Thanks for putting it all together!

Title: Incredibly thorough, varied, and easy to digest
Review: Stuart & Warrior Collective provides an incredible and unique service for martial arts practitioners and coaches, even within the bloated industry/community of online coaching & learning of combat sports.Stuart has managed to translate into this book all the things that make Warrior Collective video tutorials great to watch and learn from. The book can be daunting to look at as a beginner due to the amount of information inside, but is absolutely suitable for all levels of ability or coaching. Cannot recoomend enough.

Title: Absolutely Fantastic and Expansive Work
Review: Stuart has done it again. While he is known for his wonderful online content he has now moved into the printed realm and the result does not disappoint. This is an absolutely phenomenal resource. Not only I am completely blown away by the content but also by the presentation and production quality. Truly it is a superlative work. Given the martial arts publishing world is awash in low quality and or poorly presented content, this book is a refreshing breath of fresh air and has set the bar very high for work to come.

Review: This is a book of drills. I bought it under the assumption that techniques would be discussed, and that common mistakes would be explained along with suggestions to improve various strike techniques. But the whole book is just tons of "do a straight punch, have your partner block it". It was not for me, but if you want drills, then buy this one. What it does have is a stunning layout, good quality photos, and tons of pages.

Review: If you are a coach you owe it to yourself to buy a hard copy of this book. I have both a digital and hard copy. You have a wealth of knowledge from some of the world's greatest fighters and coaches. Clearly written with easy to follow descriptions that inform you not only the how of the movements but also the why... This is so helpful as often context is why a move or combination works or doesn't.Always a good sign when you looking forward to turn each page and discover another amazing combo. If you are a coach you could dedicate an entire class to a combo then work variations from that and have a whole week's worth of lessons from one page. This is a 293 page book. You do the math is this worth the money...yes and a whole lot more.Thank you Stuart for taking the time to build up strong relationships with such exceptional coaches and putting in such an easily digestable format.Do yourself a favour and buy a couple of copies because you are going to read it so many times one copy will get worn out
