Title: GREAT for BEGINNERS - ORGANIZED AND EASY TO FOLLOW
Review: This author makes cooking a joy by keeping cooking instructions well organized and simple. I have no time for complicated cookbooks. I purchased the Lodge brand cast iron 9" and 14" woks. The smaller is great for single servings. The 14" is a dream! Large, and a joy to use. It is heavy but well worth that small inconvenience.

Title: Red meat, chicken , sugars, processed food.
Review: If your new to using a Wok and stir fry this does give you some good information about your wok,And what food, and spices you Will need.Gives you cooking time for the recipes, and how many it will serve, but nothing about sodium, protein , cals, carbs etc. Gives you some ingred tips. Not too many pictures , but Rockridge press usually does not. Before you start cooking stir fry , the ingred are a bit different so be prepared. For my family I was expecting more vegetarian meals but there is red meat, chicken ,And Sugar etcTells what oils to use that will take a high heat such as Avocado oil that I believe is the healthiest.Iâm not a fan of the other oils, as there highly processed.Iâm more into healthy All fresh food then what is presented here. Although I could change some things.

Review: I bought this cookbook so I can get back into wok cooking making simply stir fry recipes. I also wanted to prepare authentic recipes. I was impressed that the author provided detail instructions in preparing stir fry dishes. I have already tried General Tso's Chicken which turned out very well. I will review again when I try some more recipes.

Review: I like that this book assumes that I have no knowledge of stir frying; which is exactly why I bought it for unlearning what I thought I knew and re-learning from scratch. It is great for that. However, in some recipes it does assume that you have access to, what I would call, niche ingredients, for example gochujang, Napa Cabbage, wood ear mushrooms. This is not insurmountable and there are substitutions and most of the recipes are fairly straight forward. The book is for a US audience and so, for the UK, so translations is necessary. Measurements are cups, spoons and ounces and pounds. But there is a handy comparison chart if you use ML, grammes and Celsius. Also some of the foods have American versions, e.g. scallions, cilantro etc. But again this is not insurmountable. It is a simply printed book, with few pictures and not really something I would give as a gift; but I have enjoyed cooking from it and had some lovely, healthy stir fry meals. Would recommend for beginners, less so for those accomplished stir-fryers.
