Title: Way easier than claws
Review: This is a faster, and less painful way to get chicken shredded. The bear claws work fine, but two pieces in and my hands are cramping and the shredding consistency isn't that great. But with this spinning whirly do, my hands are happy. Shredding is easier than ever. The only thing I don't like is bigger pieces tend to get caught in the "safe zone"; the outside ring where there are no spikes. You'll have to move those inwards occasionally. Martha Stewart probably wouldn't approve, but she isn't allowed in my kitchen anymore.

Title: The plate is crucial
Review: Spend the extra money ($8.00 in Mar. 2024) for the plate. Getting the chicken out without it is difficult at best. The shredding is adequate; maybe not as thorough as fork or claws but much less labor intensive. You’ll definitely want a rubber pad (I use a silicone trivet) under it as the rubber feet don’t prevent slipping (tried two different brands, this was true for each). A great time saver with some minor inconvenience, but if you buy, do yourself a favor and splurge for the plate.

Title: Surprisingly easy to use and clean
Review: Got tired of using 2 forks. This holds 2 fat breasts at once and will shred them good enough for burritos, bbq, etc. in a few turns. The grips on the bottom hold it to the counter better than the cutting board I used to use. Occasionally, I have to add back in a few big chunks that didnt get shredded down enough when I over load it.It is simple to clean, it rinses out with soapy water. No muss, no fuss. Easy as you please.

Title: I use for frozen tofu
Review: I actually use this to shred my tofu. I freeze it first and then the next day I place the tofu on this and it shreds it’s easily. Inexpensive, easy to clean, sharp. Saves a lot of time for me!

Review: I had no idea this item was even a thing until I was perusing Amazon one day. It has been a game changer! Makes shredding chicken breast and lettuce easy peezy and definitely gives my hands a well deserved break!
