Title: The most versatile recipe book I own!
Review: This cook book is amazing! Our lives are chaotic so it’s nice to have a cook book with recipes, suggestions to tweak the recipes and ways to repurpose the leftovers of said recipes! They are divided into seasons and are accompanied by gorgeous photos. If you’re a soup lover, get this book!

Title: Wow who new a vegetarian cookbook can be so good?
Review: Not a vegetarian. Yet love this vegetarian cookbook. I have yet to make a bad soup in this cookbook. I especially love how there are recipes for leftover soup to make a great meal. One of the best cookbooks I have bought--My only criticism is the homemade vegetable stock is very time consuming. I have been using organic veggie stock instead to cut time down.

Title: Best yet from this author? I think so!
Review: I have—and love—all of Shelly’s previous books. I was less excited for this one (just soups?) but boy was I wrong. I’m only 50 pages in and it’s incredible. The variety of seasonal vegetarian soups, most with a meat garnish option if desired, is already superb. But then she goes above and beyond with fantastic options for “twisting” leftovers with new flavor profiles or even completing revamping into new dishes. The flexibility in both dietary and flavor preference is awesome, the retro font is unexpected but fun, and the food staging and photography is drop-dead gorgeous. Finally, I truly appreciate that Shelly’s personal approach to cooking (seasonal, midwestern, vegetarian, and ethically sourced) rings through so clear. It’s been awhile that a cookbook has inspired me to read every single page like this one has thus far. I will continue to savor each page and am already planning to cook my way through the entire thing. Well done, Shelly (and Wyatt)!

Title: If you love a good soup, this is for you.
Review: I love soup, so this title immediately grabbed my attention with the beautiful pictures of soups on the cover. Many days soup is a full meal for me. I was thinking when I picked it up that I would love to find a recipe for sausage and lentil soup, and a few others.Description:Every day is a good day for soup! Everyday soups have never been so simple—or so incredibly delicious. My thoughts:I didn't find the soup recipes I wanted right away in this book, however I found many ideas for other soups. I didn't realize when I picked it up that all the recipes were for vegetarian soups; the book does give tips on how you can add various meats to the soup recipes, so that was good. I loved the way the book showed after each recipe how you could turn the soup into an entirely different dish for another time. There are lots of beautiful pictures, which is nice because I like to see what something looks like before I take the time to make the dish. The recipes were grouped into the seasons of the year the author felt the soup would be most appreciated. Some of the recipes seemed kind of exotic to me and sometimes I just like basic, hearty soups. This is a good book to keep in the kitchen that provides some great soup ideas. Thanks to Chronicle Books through Netgalley for an advance copy.

Title: A must have!
Review: I’ve got quite the cookbook collection going but I cannot wait for this one.I love soup and I know that I don’t really get as much in the Spring and Summer but there are some great options here. Mostly, my husband will not eat soup if it’s hot out. haha, There are many of your classic soups and a lot of new ideas too. One of the best things about this book is that there are options for other things to make with the leftover soup. Let me say that again, there are other meals to make from the leftovers!! I think this is such a brilliant thing to offer in a cookbook! I’m not sure how successful a lot of the second meals would be because I have freeze a lot of soup now, but it’s great to have that option. One that I really can’t wait to try is the Broccoli Cheese soup that gets repurposed into baked Broccoli Cheddar Pasta! There are also a lot of really great-sounding mix-ins to add to your soups too. Many of them can be homemade like grilled-cheese croutons. There are tips for freezing and using different cooking methods, like an instant pot.If you like soups anytime or just in the fall/winter then check this one out!

Title: Unusual soups. None were to my family's liking.
Review: I never used the product at all. There really wasn't a soup that even sounded appetizing to me. There might have been one or two that could be doctored up to work for me. We are soup eaters, but they were just not good for us. I know others will like them.
