Title: Eggs eggs eggs!
Review: Oh it's worth it to have this wonderful plate on hand. You can't serve deviled eggs well on ordinary plates. They will list and slide miserably, making everyone unhappy. You need a plate specifically designed for the purpose even if you only use it once a year! This is a simple yet very handsome large platter that beautifully presents your lovely eggs. It has 24 deep enough indentations that hold halved or whole eggs very nicely. So if you are making deviled eggs you have no leftovers from one dozen which is certainly not the case with my disappointing and overwrought Portmerion plate. This plate is made of a rather clunky earthenware though the glaze is a nice clear white, making it quite sturdy and attractive. As for the indentation in the center, well you could put anything there from salt to a rose but not an egg.
