Title: PRETTY GOOD OVERALL
Review: We had a professional carpet cleaner do the entire house back in April with fair/good results. The problem is we have a very light-colored (almost white) beige carpet with high traffic area blackish track marks in and out of the den and master bedroom. I tried carpet sprays, I tried powdered carpet cleaners, etc. to no avail, which was why we called the carpet cleaner back in April. So he got most of the high traffic area marks to look maybe 80-90% better, but he did not clean the area against the front of the couch bc he couldn't get the edge of his machine close enough to the couch. He should have just moved the darn couch a foot back like I did a few days ago so he could get to all the carpet. In any event after only three months, we started to see the same dirty high traffic areas reappearing even though we never wear shoes in the house and the carpets in our den and master bedroom looked like they needed a light cleaning again because it was not really 100% when the carpet cleaner finished. He said it was an old carpet and hey what can you do? Rather than have the carpet cleaner come back out for an afternoon with the need to start moving furniture, tables, plants etc. again, I figured why not give this machine a try? It was worth it because this Hoover has done a good job overall, I did need to go over the carpet in the den 2-3 times to get rid of the blackish high traffic areas and did the area in front of the couch three times because the professional carpet cleaner didn't bother to clean there. I asked a family member to look at the entire den when I was done and they said 100% better. It actually looks BETTER than when the professional carpet cleaner cleaned it! This is a 20-year old carpet in a heavily used area and it actually looks really good now. As noted, I had to do the den twice and the black high traffic marks three times, but so what? The bottom line is the carpet looks great now. Overall, I am really impressed with this machine. Everything works the way it says and it is a snap to use. PLUS the suction is so good the carpets are barely damp when done and are dry (at least in our low humidity climate in the desert) within a few hours, even though I used a few full tanks of solution in one room (den). With the clear brush cover you can see all the dirty cleaning solution being sucked back into the dirty water tank as you go over the carpet. I do note that I have to go pretty slow back and forth on both the cleaning and suction strokes in order to let the machine roller clean the carpet and then to allow it to suction out as much liquid as possible, but no big deal, the results are worth it. I had a little difficulty getting the HOSE attachment plugged in to the machine to do upholstery, but I used a touch of silicone spray on a rag where the water nozzle plugs into the machine and that fixed it. I've seen a few complaints that the cleaning solution bottle needs refilled often or the dirty water tank needs emptying often. Yes, you will need to refill the cleaning solution container a few times if you go slow enough to actually allow the machine to clean the carpet in a large area, and the dirty water tank fills up fast (it also has an audible change in tone to let you know you need to empty it), but no big deal. I keep a 5-gallon plastic bucket in the room I'm cleaning and empty the dirty water in there and just take the one big bucket out to empty it when I 'm done. I would advise maybe NOT emptying the dirty water container into a sink or toilet because there may be lint, dirt, etc. in there which may clog drain pipes?Bottom line - very impressive results for a great price, and the entire unit and attachments seem to be high quality. It is also REALLY easy to rinse the roller areas and dirty water tank when done. THE ONLY GRIPE I HAVE IS I DID NOT GET ANY 'SAMPLE" CLEANING SOLUTION WITH THE UNIT DESPITE THE BOX AND INSTUCTIONS SAYING IT COMES IN THE BOX. HAD I NOT ORDERED A CONTAINER OF THE HOOVER OXY SOLUTION WHICH WAS DELEIVERED SAME TIME AS THE MACHINE I WOULD HAVE HAD NO CLEANING SOLUTION AT ALL. Overall, I am really satisfied with this carpet cleaner and I wish I would have bought one years ago.

Title: Excellent design
Review: First day of use, and I am very impressed with the design and easy operation of this carpet cleaning machine.The machine is light weight enough for a senior female to manage. The water tanks are easy to remove and reinstall. The water sprayer delivers just enough to properly clean and rinse. Cleaning the machine after use is also easy and VERY necessary. Operation tips I learned; use less than more cleaning detergent. Be prepared for alot of rinsing. The water extraction works great. Tanks need to be emptied and refilled frequently if what you're cleaning is a large rug or carpet. The machine comes with Hoover detergent. I did buy Zep cleaning detergent and prefer it to the Hoover detergent. I think the Zep cleaned better and was fairly odorless. The Hoover detergent had a perfumery scent. The difference between a carpet cleaning service and this is sweat equity and the ability to spot clean as needed. The build is sturdy yet easily handled. Delighted with results.

Review: My pup likes to decorate my dining room rug occasionally and this little machine does a good job of cleanup. It’s lightweight and easy to use. My only complaint is that the roller compartment should come apart so that it can be cleaned easier.

Title: Great little machine! Passed the Real Farmhouse test.
Review: For the smaller size of this I am impressed! It is lite weight as well which I appreciate as I’ve had super heavy and clunky ones I the past. I have hard floors but several area rugs, I have 7 dogs and two of them are very much so in their senior citizen years and a couple cats as well. I also live in the middle of our dryland farm so when I talk about dirt I mean DIRT! Although I don’t have animals in the house 24/7 but the old border collies are and the others are in a fair amount and being a farm my rugs have seen some things. By “some things” I mean everything from manure on boots, sick animals, grease, dirt, hay, grime and a spilled cocktail or two. I try to keep my rugs as clean as possible but hauling them out once a year to pressure wash is beyond cumbersome and definitely not practical and sometimes you just can’t spot treat the spot. I vacuumed my rugs with my trusty Orek Commercial vacuum, feeling like they were fairly clean as far as dirt and hair. I just wanted to shampoo them to get the smells out… farm life you know? Well let me tell you… the water was BLACK with dirt, this thing sucked harder than a buckle bunny working a roper for entry fees. The hair… let me tell you about what it brought out of those carpet fibers… I was asking myself if all my dogs were accounted for because I thought there was definitely one living in that rug. Why can’t my vacuum get that deep? I used the Zep carpet cleaner in it and it did a great job. Water is super easy to fill and doesn’t weigh a hundred pounds. The water tank was enough to cover each rug, if you are looking to do a whole room you’ll have to fill a bit more I’m sure. I also used quite a bit given the state of my rugs. The black water tank is easy to remove and also isn’t heavy, it has a side port for easily dumping however I did find rinsing it was slightly a pain, that’s the only place to rinse and dump. Just took a couple extra minutes but it came completely clean. I ran over my rugs twice, first with the solution and second with just water. I was impressed that it didn’t seem to be pulling a bunch of soap up on the second go around, tells me the sucking power of this is great! It also didn’t soak clear through the rug meaning my floors stayed dry. It was easy to clean when I was done, I put it on my tile floor and turned it on, just held the “water” trigger for a couple minutes while it flushed the brush head and everything out. That did leave a bit of water on the floor but it was easy to clean up. The front also pops off so I was able to rinse the nooks and crannies out to ensure it was completely clean. I did pull some hair and such out of the roller brush and I used a rag to make sure it was all clean and dry but I also have 5 long haired dogs and a corgi (IYKYK) along with long haired cats… the hair around here is a lot. I am very happy with how this cleaned and I was very skeptical. But it passed the real Farmhouse test. Used for 6 large area rugs and it did great!

Title: GREAT Little machine
Review: Wow!! I should have taken a before shot. This little machine worked wonders on my navy & cream area rugs. The machine is small enough to store in a small apartment, it is lightweight, easy to use & clean afterwards. I shampooed twice & then went over with water as suggested by Hoover to remove any residual shampoo left behind. Added a little essential oil to the water. The rugs are super clean, look & smell great too! Way cheaper then a commercial carpet cleaning service, buying new rugs & not adding to the landfill!

Review: Last year I dated a mechanic who refused to take his work boots off in my front hall. He didn’t last long. But the stains of motor oil and grease sure did. About four months ago I tried a bunch of carpet cleaners. When I tell you they did NOTHING, I do not exaggerate. I tried two bissel carpet washers. They felt like Fischer Price bubble vacuums, didn’t make a dent, and left my carpets sopping wet for literally days - not a good sign. I even bought special cleaning liquid. I tried three times. Nothing came up. It was so depressing. A few days ago I mustered the strength on a sunny day to try again, but a different brand. I saw reviews for this and bought this little Hoover with big hopes. Full disclosure I did not use the trial liquid (it’s for neutralizing the smell of recent pet urine - not my job), I used bissels 2x liquid stain carpet washing liquid instead. You can get it at Canadian tire on sale for about $20 which will last you for years with this machine. This Hoover….with that liquid….my gawd - it took up car oil and grease in ONE PASS. I didn’t have to rinse - even though I did after taking photos for everyone. I didn’t have to do multiple passes. We’re talkin ONE pass people and the carpet returned to its former glory. I put photos for evidence. I genuinely thought these reviews were fake before I used this Hoover. It’s a great product. Good reviews here aren’t false. After my front hall success, I did my whole unit 800 sq feet of carpet in under 1 hour. If it died tomorrow - I’d buy another one immediately. So here are my pro’s and con’s.Pro’s:- works- works quickly- genuinely mind bogglingly actually works- feels well made- is noticeably lighter in comparison to other carpet cleaners- my carpets were dry-to-the-touch on a 25c day within 3 hours, fully dry in 5, after one wash and two rinses and one pass without water to suck it all up.- the arm retracts to an angle (unlike any other budget cleaner) which makes it easier to operate.- the solution nozzle has a manual release button (unlike other carpet cleaners) so you don’t waste solution automatically, and so you can rinse the solution out correctly, and so you can suck all the solution up and make the carpet dry quicker.- it’s cute as a button and perfectly petite- super easy to fill and empty- bottom canister alerts you when to empty so you don’t overflow anything or break the machine.Con’s:- None - it’s so good it erased my awful ex.Addressing other complaints of reviewers that almost put me off buying this gem, in the hopes others wont be turned off buying this marvel of a machine:- “It’s Loud”. Who cares when it’s 7 times faster at what it does. I’ll take loud and efficiently effective over quiet and soul-destroyingly slow and ineffective any day of the week. Seriously bissell’s left my carpet wet for three days straight and didn’t even remove stains - that’s true inconvenience.- “you have to empty and refill often” yes, because it’s working. Small machine small price - BIG quality. I’d rather walk back and forth once every 100sq feet than not have it work.- “you have to unscrew the bottom part to clean the brush” FALSE. Unplug the machine, make sure your reservoirs for clean and dirty water are detached, then flip the machine on its side. Grab you a paper towel and swipe the underside above the brush. Job done babe. Quick and clean.- “it’s so hard to clean” These people have trust funds - ignore their complaint. I cleaned mine in under three minutes. It was so easy I’m laughing at this complaint now.- “the nozzle shield can’t be detached to clean” See that bit on the nozzle that says pull to detach? Yeah do that. Only don’t pull away from yourself. Stand above the machine, and pull up toward yourself gently. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.In short, if you need to clean your carpets - folk, I recommend this one.Now THAT’S closure. 😉

Review: I bought this as my new puppy isn’t 100% house trained yet. I pre treat the spots with pet urine / enzyme spot cleaner then do a couple of passes with the machine and it gets it right out.Sometimes it seems like the solution in the machine keeps going onto the carpet, even when I’m not squeezing the handle to dispense it. So I remove the container with the solution when I go over the carpet to suction up the moisture.The stair attachment works well and has a decent size hose.The machine is easy to clean. Hoover includes tools for that plus a bag with a hook to store the hose attachment and tools.
