Title: Great Book for Teaching Prediction the Day before Fall Break
Review: My day job, as a teacher requires me to read many books to my students. This book has been a favorite of mine for years. Because of the comedy in the story, older (4-6th) grade student can enjoy it as well as primary students. I like to use this book to teach prediction and have the student make a prediction as to whether or not Mr, Moose and his "hunting party" will catch Turkey or not. Students enjoy writing their prediction before we finish the book. The ending has a cute twist everyone can enjoy. This is a great book to read the day before Fall Break, as it is light hearted and fun.

Title: A one of a kind story about Compassion
Review: A few years ago, when I read this story to a class of second graders as a substitute teacher, my perception of Thanksgiving dinner was changed once for all. I began celebrating Thanksgiving a la "Mrs. Moose," because she is classy, evolved and compassionate-traits we need to yet develop toward animal kind. I ordered ten of this book and shared it with people (grown ups!) whom I admire. Oh, I love the illustrations too! They gave me ideas of how I want the illustrations look like in my own picture book story I've written about animal freedom : )
