Title: #1 Cookbook In My Kitchen!
Review: In the seven weeks since I bought this book, I've already made ten recipes. This cookbook is phenomenal! After twenty years of vegetarianism, I recently made the shift to an entirely plant-based diet, and decided a few new cookbooks were in order to help spark new creativity in the kitchen. Of the three books I bought, this one has become my go-to favorite. There isn't a single page in this book without something intriguing and appetizing on it.I cannot overstate this: "The Complete Plant Based Cookbook" is written with the home cook at heart. It seems obvious that every cookbook would be written with the intent that the average person could duplicate its recipes in their own kitchen, but that's rarely the case. This book is exceptional, though. The instructions are written clearly and are easy to follow. The measurements, temperatures, and cook time are true, and the ingredients are almost all available at my local markets.Often, vegan cookbooks fall into one of two categories: exotic/elaborate preparations of hard-to-find ingredients, or meatless mimicry of junk food. I was looking for a book that offered something else. This cookbook provides countless meal ideas that can make it possible to enjoy delicious balanced meals throughout the week. Meat and dairy substitutes can be a marvel, but I prefer that this book avoids much of that in favor of celebrating and elevating whole vegetables. Even the nacho "cheese" sauce (pictured) is made with simple potatoes and a carrot! I've made everything from soup to roasted veggies to pie using this cookbook, and all have come out exactly as described, even at times when the instructions felt impossible (there's no way this can set without eggs....there's no way this consistency will be...how can this??...) But time and again, I trust the instructions, and the food comes out delicious and beautiful.America's Test Kitchen really lives up to its name here, as it's obvious that all of these recipes have been tried and tried again before publication.Lastly, the back of this cookbook has something that I've never seen in any other: a full index of the basic nutrition facts of each of the recipes! I'm sure I won't be checking back there too often (especially for that pecan pie!) but what a cool resource to offer. There's also a full index listing all of the gluten free recipes in the cookbook, which I'm sure will be hugely helpful for many people. All of the books I ordered had similarly great reviews, but this one was the only one that's truly exceptional. Bon appetite!

Title: BEST CHOICE EVER!
Review: I made a simple chicken breast asusual...BUT it got stuck to my EXPENSIVE pan never before and when I flipped it at 6-mins like I always do.... it shredded like string cheese! That ain't chicken like! I told my family I'm cooking something different,BUT I still cooked it and went 20-mins straight on one side just to see what happend and it DIDN'T BURN AND it didn't crisp...DISGUSTING Another time, I cooked my Hawaiian BBQ Ribs and have always used Pork Ribs, a statement dish by my family! Well, I bought Pork Ribs and when I got home to marinate them in my sauce, it was then, the stench that came from the ribs.....was the last straw! I shop at Albertsons and Staters and it's not their fault but our own G*O*V trying to mess with our foods, that has caused me to try Plant Based! I'm not Vegetarian,Vegan, Plant Base ,or on a diet BUT I will say I've tried Plant Base burgers and nuggets and my family and I couldn't tell the difference! I've learned a lot from Dr. Price, Dr Sebi, Dr. Aris, Dr. Yahki...the list goes on and God has provided us the foods we should eat within picking! I'm in the beginning stages but I see switching my whole life style of eating because of all the Toxic Crap in our foods! Key points to do some HEAVY RESEARCH ON IS them Doctors I've mentioned AND...... Parasites, Mucus, and Metal Detoxing! It's nice to know there are Dr.'s out there WHO CARE and aren't for the BIG BUCK! Also, they're not just talking about it, THEY HAVE BEEN LIVING IT FOR YEARSSS! I love this book and it's details, especially for me, being new to this style of eating! One thing I won't change it making food delicious AND EASYYYYY! This book does that for me with a big family, they have little patience when they become"h-angry" and I have to whip up something quickly. Well worth every penny!

Title: Excellent - 10 STARS!
Review: Iâve always loved Americaâs Test Kitchen. I still have their cookbooks that I used for years until I became plant-based six years ago. Imagine my delight when I learned about their plant-based cookbook. It does not disappoint. It is excellent and I will be using it for years to come. So much information and I cannot wait to start trying the recipes!

Title: Very text heavy. Needs more pictures
Review: I really like ATK books. Among cookbooks they are in a league of their own. That said, this one is not as enjoyable as other ATK books I own. The recipes are good so far but thereâs so much text and not many pictures. On any given spread, there are 3-4 recipes and only 1-2 small pictures on average. With many recipes I need to look up a picture online beforehand to see if itâs something Iâd like or not. Some recipes continue to the next page as well, which makes it annoying to have to flip through while my hands are messy. The ingredients are bolded and easy to read, the recipes take a while to make, and the serving sizes are large. Some recipes are reused from other books.Iâm vegetarian but this is one of my least favorite ATK books because its not as appealing to use. My ranking so far is ATK bowls, followed by ATK Mediterranean 2, and this one last. I wish this one at least included a QR code linking to pictures for each recipe or split this book into 2 parts so they could double the pictures used. For an experienced chef or a stay at home cook that has the time and energy to look up pictures for each dish, readjust the ingredient amounts, and spend an hour in the kitchen, this would be perfect. For someone relatively unknowledgeable in cooking, coming home tired and bleary eyed from a long day of work/school and just wants to quickly find something appealing to make, I like my other 2 ATK books better.
