Defining the Essence of a Burger
A hamburger (burger for short) typically considered a sandwich, consists of one or more cooked patties of ground meat, placed inside a sliced bread roll or bun. The patty may be pan fried, grilled, smoked or flame broiled.
When we say burger, we specifically mean a beef burger, one made with ground chuck, brisket, short rib or even tenderloin. On these pages learn the best cuts of meat and the best methods for building a succulent burger and how to perfectly cook it.
