Title: Sturdy and useful
Review: I bought this Cuisinart to replace a DLC-10 that was hard to get replacement parts for, and this is a big step up in quality and durability. Everything on this is built so solidly that it does a better job of slicing and grating than the DLC-10 ever did, even though the blades are the same size. I am really happy with this machine and I use it almost every day cooking.

Title: Awesome Machine!
Review: We needed a new food processor to replace our broken down on. This unit does not disappoint. First thing I noticed when unpacking the machine is its weight. It feels super sturdy and stable. The second thing I noticed is how little noise the machine makes during use. Our old processor was a beast of a machine and sounded like one. This Cuisinart is scary quiet. Even scarier (in a good way) is how easily it cuts through everything. I know the blades are new and, therefore, still extremely sharp, but this unit feels like it will continue to process food easily for years to come before needed a blade replacement. The footprint it takes up on the counter top is very small (surface area smaller than a piece of 8x11 paper). Vertically, it can be a bit tall when using the large feeder top, but it doesn't make it unsightly. It comes with a standard blade, two discs for slicing (thick and thin) and one disc for shredding. We made sangria for Thanksgiving, and slicing the pears and apples was breeze using this processor. I haven't used the shredding disc yet, but I have no doubt it will make easy work of cheese, potatoes, carrots, etc. There is one thing I would highly recommend, and that is the storage container for the blade and discs. For three reasons: 1) First and foremost safety. These blades are super sharp, and the last thing you want is to slice your finger reaching for them. 2) The container will protect your blades from getting nicked. 3) All your blades and discs will be in one easy to find location. We are looking forward to using this unit more often, and hope it is as durable as we expect it to be.

Title: Itâs a complicated machine â read the manual very carefully and practice before using it for real
Review: I just got this processor to replace an old Cuisinart, so I havenât used it a lot. It is quite a bit more complicated than that one, but has many more uses. What I would stress for anyone considering buying is: read the instructions very carefully several times (I didnât look at the videos) and practice a while before using it to do real cooking. Many of the negative reviews here seem to have been written by people who donât have the patience one needs to operate this sort of machine. The parts do take some experimenting before you understand how to put them together and take them apart, but once you finish assembling them it works beautifully. One thing I will not use it for is mixing and kneading bread dough; Iâm doubtful that it would do a better job at that than doing this by hand. Iâve done that by hand (as people have done for centuries) for years, and itâs good exercise for your hands and arms!To sum it up: take plenty of time to learn how to use this thing (especially if you have never used a food processor before), handle it carefully, and learn how to cook and bake the old-fashioned way so you donât have to rely on the processor to do everything for you.

Title: Food processor
Review: It works great. Does exactly what I want. BUT the press is a 2 piece unit and doesnât come apart. Making cleaning very difficult to clean. I use it to grate cheese and it is a nightmare to clean up.

Title: Great!
Review: Great product! Much better design then before, more compact, fits better on the countertop. I hope it's going to be as durable as the previous version we had and had to get rid of it due to discontinuation of production, so we could not find that plastic bowl and had throw the entire food processor, but that's what happens with many manufactures these days, who cares about the resources and environment... 🙂

Title: Wish I could give this product a ZERO!!!
Review: Shame on you Amazon and Cuisinart for continuing to sell this product when you knowingly have 1 star reviews that state this product is defective. There is a design flaw with this product that will NOT allow the main work bowl lid to seat and connect power to the bowl. Amazon, REMOVE this product. Do you ever read the reviews????! Do you ever try to use the defective products that are returned to you? Cuisinart, I will NEVER buy one of your products EVER AGAIN!Update two days later with egg on my face:I apologize to Amazon and Cuisinart. I was wrong about this appliance. If everyone who gave this a one star would read this, your appliance may work. Mine is not defective. I was trying to put the lid on backwards. My old Cuisinart food processor had the bowl handle and the feed chute lined up together. With this new model, it is just the opposite. When you face the processor you will see the handle. The food chute should be 180 degrees from the handle. Now I am happy again. I even had it all packed up to send back when my husband asked me if I had tried the reverse of what we were trying to do. I thought I had, but apparently I hadn't. So we unpacked it and tried the reverse and WA-LA. It worked just fine.Cuisinart, please add this to your instructions. It sure would be helpful and would save many frustrations.

Review: This is my second Cuisinart food processor Pro Custom. I had one that lasted 33 years but needed to replace it. The base is heavy so it will not walk on the counter. Very strong motor and quiet.
