Title: Fun for game night
Review: This is a unique game that is pretty easy to learn. The game is good quality and easy to bring anywhere since it’s small. It’s a quicker paced game but can range from a short to a long game depending on the cards. We always have a good time playing this with friends and family.

Title: Such a fun game
Review: We played this with some family and had to have our own! Now we take it for game night to other family gatherings. When we first tried to buy it, they were out of stock everywhere so as soon as it was available on Amazon again we purchased it right away. It's a nice clean game. Lots of strategizing and being completely caught off guard. The trap cards are so fun. You can't trust anyone and it makes for some really good laughs. This is the kind of game that can be over very quickly or go on for hours, it just depends how it's played, but it's always a good time!

Title: entertaining
Review: We brought it to a brewery to entertain a bunch of tweens. There were 6 kids ranged 9 to 13, and they played for over an hour. They were laughing and really enjoying themselves. No fighting!

Title: Very fun, time consuming in a good way
Review: I love playing this with people for the first time bc they don't know the rabbit hole we're about to go down. So many unique cards and ones that negate others, it's fun to debate the rules.

Title: Fun game! Might've received a used product though
Review: I bought this game because I played it at a friend's house, and thought it was fun so I bought it for my family as well! Game itself is as expected, but was a little disappointed that the product seemed like it may have been used or not packaged well. The stickers enclosing the boxes seemed a little dirty and like they've been opened before, and the box corner was a little damaged. In addition, the "muffin time" corner card was a slightly messed up in the corner, which isn't a huge deal, but disappointing since it's the nice shiny card and the card looked like that upon opening the box.

Review: I wish there was an option for 4.8 stars, as I do have a nitpick! As it is, nitpick aside, the game is just about perfect. Read on for more information as I grade the game!I am an absolute, boardgame / party game / table-top fanatic. I love them, and as the years go by, these games become more intricate, and fun to play. I chanced upon Muffin Time as I was checking out YouTube for new games to check out, and found this on an episode of Board AF. I was curious at first, and as I watched the crew play in to the chaos of the game, I knew that it was something that would be directly up my alley. I ordered it before the video even ended. When it came, I wanted to play it ASAP, and it stated that it was suitable for 2+ players, so I got my girlfriend to play with me. I was initially unsure of how well it would play with only 2 players, and certainly there are cards designed for more than 2. I also was worried that games would be quick, with only two players, and low on the chaos that the video promised me.Not a chance. If anything, having only one player, that must target you, and keep an eye on what cards you have, or if you have any traps set, means that they are going to be vigilant at all times, and trying to take your cards away as soon as they can. We actually ran through 3 quarters of the deck, before I finally eked out the win.So yes, it definitely supports two player play, but it is definitely very suitable for multiple players. So what does this game include:- 200 unique cards, divided up in to Action cards, trap cards, and counter cards. And when I say unique, I mean unique. There are 200 completely different cards, with whacky names, descriptions, and incredible artwork, all designed to make your competition's lives, a living you know what... or at least mildly inconvenient.- A couple stickers from the publisher- A seriously well constructed box, that feels more like a collectors item in and of itself. It is really well put together.- A rule book.Speaking of the rule book, and rules. It's pretty simple:1) Set traps if you want.2) Draw or Play an action card.3) Once you have exactly 10 cards in your hand (easier said than done) say "It's Muffin Time!"4) If you make it to your next turn and still have exactly 10 cards? Congrats, you just won Muffin Time!5) If you are wondering on an exact ruling on how to interpret a cards instructions? Figure it out yourselves champ. And with the final one, about rules, I feel like the game was constructed in such a way, with this in mind. There are cards that can be interpreted in several ways, and the game itself is meant to be chaotic and fun, so you can't exactly decide that when you play a card that tells players that aren't wearing a hat, to discard a few cards, that Johnny who is now wearing the game's box on his head... is not in fact wearing a hat.My one singular nitpick about this game comes down to one of the games most fun aspects; the traps.Traps range from obvious, to absolutely ridiculous. During one game, I placed a trap that suggest that I call another player, and if they answer, they discard cards. I decided to hold off, give it time to settle, drink some water, and eventually have to call for a pause so I could use the rest room. Taking my phone with me, I called another player and asked them if I wanted to bring any snacks back with me. When I got back with the snacks, I handed them their chips, and flipped over my card. This trap is only ever going to work on that person, or with the group you are playing with, once, and there are several traps like that. This I feel, will hinder replayability with the same group.Along the same lines, there are traps triggered by singing, being distracted, asking what, answering to your name, etc. And as a player gets used to the game, it becomes clear that the best way to not get hit by a trap, is to just not speak. This again, may hinder replayability if you have someone that caves in and becomes mute for the duration of the game.Still, this is probably the most fun I have had with a game in a very long time, and you won't regret making this purchase from Big Potato. So let's grade this thing:Box Contruction/Durability: A+ - As already discussed, the box has a premium feel to it, and like the cards themselves, is vibrant, and well designed.Design: A+ - I struggled to give this one an A+ as it is a simple card game, and the playing components are all cards. The design of these however are exquisite, and you will often find yourself sharing the drawings on the cards, as you play them. They themselves, are a great talking point.Rules: A - The rules are clear, concise, and easy to follow. However, interpretation of instructions from cards is almost a game mechanic itself. Due to this, I'm not able to give it a full A+.Gameplay: A+ Something that you will notice really quickly is that a lot of thought had to go into balancing this game, and it's appreciated. They didn't go overboard with traps, there are plenty of counters, and nothing seems too overpowered or punishing. They also added little minigames that kind of add in a nice little break from the proceedings to do a small activity. One such minigame card is featured in the picture provided.2 Player Suitability: A- - The game is clearly meant for multiple people, but 2 players is definitely easily achieved, while still being fun, and not taking away much from the mechanics of most of the cards.Party Play (8+ Players): A+ - This is where it excels. Multiple people, with multiple traps, puts people on edge, adding an extra element of paranoia.Replayability: B - I talked about this above, and won't delve further into detail, but if you hit a player with a card that punishes them for answering their phone, they, and everybody else they are playing with are going to become wise to that, and it's just going to work anymore. Throw in the same with other trap designs, and it might become difficult to find the same level of fun, with the same group of people.Family Friendly: B - Were it not for some of the drawing on the cards, or card names, I would have no issues with saying this would be an A+ and be very suitable. As it is, there are some mature themes among the cards, though 13+ should be fineOverall: A+ - This game is simple, fun, hilarious, and does involve some strategy. It's a great time, and among all of the games that I have, would probably be my #1 suggestion for anybody that just wants to play a game and have a fun time.
