Title: Perfect!!!
Review: I had a small 8 cup Hamilton Beach processor that lacked power and was very noisy, when the shredding disk broke for the second time in a year I decided to find something better. I went with a Cuisinart 11 cup, which I really wanted to like, but due to the flimsiness of the food chute and food pusher I didn't feel as if it would last long so I returned it. Yes, this Breville 12 cup is more expensive, but the food chute and the food pushers are so much more sturdy and substantial that the extra money is well spent. This food processor is sturdy, powerful, and very fast! There are different size chutes you can choose, depending on the size of food you are working with. I love dialing down the adjustable blade (love this blade!) to paper thin and placing zucchini and cucumbers sideways so I can make long paper thin slices which are perfect for rollups/sandwiches, zucchini lasagne noodles, and layered salads. Also nice for making your own French style green beans. The food chute is wide and roomy! The adjustable disk, set to #6, slices the perfect burger tomato slice, no more tomato mush!! There is also a setting for storage keeping fingers safe for storing and washing. The reversible shredding disk works very well for shredding cheeses, cabbage, zucchini, or carrots. One size is large, other side is for smaller size shredding.I have been having so much fun using this food processor! It has worked out wonderfully on everything I have thrown at it. The plastic bowl and latches are nicer than what I found on the Cuisinart, it's a bit taller than their 11 cup which makes it harder to store under the cupboards, but I found it fits perfect with the lid on it if I take the food pushers out of the food chute. I just set them next to the food processor on the counter. There is also a hidden cord storage inside of the base. Just pull the core out through the side when you want to use it then push the cord back inside when finished to help keep your counters neat and tidy.I received a dough blade, chopping blade with blade storage, spatula, adjustable slicing blade, and reversible shredding disk. There is also a removable spindle to use with the blades and disks that doesn't fall off while emptying the bowl. Very nice food processor, I am so glad I upgraded to this one. It looks great, is well made, and most importantly works excellent!

Title: Sweet piece of equipment, worth the extra $$
Review: This is one sweet piece of equipment. The Breville company designers must be people who actually use the devices they sell, because they are designed and built so well. This my 3rd food processor (the first was a KitchenAid, the second a Cuisineart). I received my new Breville yesterday, and so far, I have only done two things with it: I made a batch of hummus, and I made a batch of frozen banana-cherry "nice cream." Both came out perfectly! Here are my observations:The Breville motor has more power than my earlier models, and effortlessly processes stuff, and is fast! The Breville electrical plugs are the BEST. They have a ring to hook your finger in to plug/unplug. It also retracts up into the base for storage. Now, most people would not think too much about power cord plugs, but this just gives you an idea of the attention to detail paid by Breville product designers. The plastic bowl and lid are made of much heavier plastic than my earlier models and seems very durable. It has easy to see/read volume markings on the side. It attached to the base smoothly and securely. As a plus, it was the easiest to clean of any other food processor bowl/top that I have used; no little crevices or notches to trap food particles. The S-blade, which I use the most, was very sharp. It wa also very easy to clean, and did not trap food inside the blade handle like my Cuisinart did (which was very difficult to clean). NOTE: Read your instruction manual!!! Unlike other food processors, the S-blade must be used with the spindle. There is also a nifty little storage tray to safely store the S-blade.The slicing blade looks well designed. Although I have not used it yet, and it is a feature I rarely use, I like the fact it can be adjusted to several thicknesses, including a closed position to make it safer to wash. I'm going to give it a go next batch of scalloped potatoes, and if it functions as well as I suspect, I will use it more often than I used the slicing blades on previous processors. The previous processors were such a pain in the patoot to clean that I didn't pull them out just to slice a few veggies. There is a grater disc, which I might use in the future, but grating is not something I do in large volumes. This is my 4th Breville product, following a countertop airfryer/oven, a toaster, and a hand mixer. Each of those other products have also been well designed and performed flawlessly for several years. Breville products are more expensive, but I have found them to be worth the added cost because they work so incredibly well.If you use a food processor regularly, then look no further and buy this one. I think you will be very satisfied.

Review: *Edit. Used my processor for the first time. It's very noisy, but also powerful. Easy to set up and use. I used the fine shredding disc and it even did onions beautifully, and no waste! Easy to clean. I am beyond pleased.Just recieved this food processor. The building attendant pushed the box (big enough to put a large person in) into my apartment and took everything out for me. It's packed like Russian nesting dolls in 3 boxes, one smaller than the next, so no way is this going to be damaged. First the heavy discs came out. Really heavy duty, and handles...no more putting fingers in round circles! Then, the bowl, all marked like a measuring cup. A thing of beauty, and everything appears to be very sturdily made. The attendant then hefted the gorgeous bottom onto my counter where it will live. It's too tall to fit under my counter with the lid on in the correct but set in upside down it works. The 3 sizes of pusher openings are great. Honestly, I have to say this is the most beautiful appliance I've ever had. Even the bloody cord end is unique! Thrre is a hoke so you can pull it out without yanking and putting a strain on the end. It better also be the best working because there is no way on earth I can get this back into the box on my own let alone return it. You really need to be a body builder or put it in one spot right by an electrical outlet and let it live there. Send prayers that it works.

Review: I have used food processors since the mid 1980s. I have gone through 5... maybe 6 of them? This is definitely a huge step up; lot of money for a kitchen tool, but wow.: what a performance. The bowl is larger than my previous one which is great - perfect for soups, batter, and sausage emulsions. And so easy to clean! The chopping blade is super-efficient: did garlic and jalapenos last night, and I ever never seen a machine chop so evenly. The slicing blade has an adjustable knob so you can vary thicknesses... AWESOMNESS! And it works great! I have not yet tried the grater. Oh and also: the machine is so much more quiet than any machine I have owned before! I would very highly recommend it. The base is heavy - such a powerful motor - but that is OK as I leave it permanently on my kitchen counter.

Review: Easy to assemble. Easy to operate. Very quiet. The motor base is heavier than the others that we've which likely reflects quality. Overall the nicest food processor we've ever had. However, this unit must be handled with care. The plastic parts seem less durable than the cheap Hamilton Beach unit that we had previously. My daughter accidently dropped the lid while handling it, and it fell to the vinyl floor, and broke. Fortunately, replacement parts are available from the manufacturer.

Review: Great for cutting vegetables, grating cheese, making peanut butter and salad dressings, blending lots of ingredients into sauces, etc. ...but unexpectedly can also make a perfectly respectable butter-crust pastry dough! Happy me!
