Title: Outstanding sound after easy setup!
Review: I've owned a Vizio soundbar for our TV for years and have been very happy with the quality so I chose to stick with Vizio for a soundbar for my office TV/laptop. I'm so glad I did, and glad I spent a little bit more for the 5.1. The setup was fast and easy and it works great with the TV. But I was more interested in listening to music from my laptop, and the bluetooth connection works beautifully. It works great with my ipad and Galaxy phone as well. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that you can pair only one device at a time, but then changing out devices is pretty easy so I'm not dinging the soundbar a star for that. The app isn't great but it's perfectly usable and does what is needed (vs a remote which this soundbar does not have).

Title: Incredible value!... Just a couple growing pains
Review: This sound bar is unbelievable value for $200. The installation was quick and easy. The sound is full and punches above its price tag.Just a couple growing pains:1. ABSOLUTELY ENSURE you have TruVolume turned 'ON' in the settings. Without this future turned on, some movies sound like you're listening to them underwater. You'll notice the volume is incredibly muffled, and even at 100% max volume the movie audio still doesn't sound right and the volume doesn't get loud. I'm not sure why this is only an issue with some movies or YouTube videos and not all of them. Maybe it's an audio formatting thing. In any case, this issue cost me a couple hours of troubleshooting, but having figured it out, it's no longer an issue for me.2. Note that the unit does not come with a remote. Audio adjustments (equalizer, TruVolume, surround sound, and AV delay) are performed on your smartphone by downloading the app and signing in with a free Vizio account. I'm happy to do this, but this might turn some people off.Despite these couple issues (that I no longer consider to be issues), I would 100% recommend this unit!

Title: Sounds excellent...after tuning
Review: The out of the box sound of this isn't super great. Highs and lows are almost non existent. Setting the EQ to direct and turning on TruVolume via the app gets it 90% of the way to sounding good. Then adjusting the various other sliders for your specific room should do the rest. If the sound was half decent out of the box, this would be 5 stars. The out of the box sound is truly terrible though.Having to set up an account for the app is annoying, but being able to use an app to tune everything is a much better experience compared to fighting through menus or worse, deciphering led blinks on the sound bar (the solution some other sound bars use).Setup is easy, and the mix of wired and wireless is nice (no cable running to the back of the room, but also no hunting down for separate outlets for the speakers). No pairing was required, which was nice. There don't seem to be any drop outs either, even in the dense area I'm in.I do wish there was an additional input option, other than HDMI (like some sort of toslink/optical) as I don't really have free HDMI ports, but for the price one port is acceptable. It does mean there isn't any input fiddling which is nice I guess.Overall, good value for the price, after some tuning.

Title: These changed my mind about how good soundbars can be
Review: I originally looked into getting this after becoming frustrated with my wired 5.1 surround sound setup with an old tuner. First of all, setup was really easy; the app recognized the soundbar with no issues, and I was genuinely surprised at just how good the sound was without any of the other equipment added in yet. The subwoofer is beefy enough that my wife has to request that I turn the bass down whenever both of us are watching movies. The icing on the cake is the satellite speakers. I really appreciated that Vizio includes extra long cords (they had to be like 20 feet long) so that you can connect them to the subwoofer no matter where they need to be mounted. A little bonus feature if you have a Vizio TV is that apparently you can mount the soundbar directly to the bottom of the TV using some integrated mounting points. In addition to being great as for the TV, you can also use this as a giant bluetooth speaker for your phone. We used to use an Amazon Echo Dot to play music when doing chores around the living room, but now we can connect our phone to the soundbar and have WAY higher sound quality that can be heard throughout the entire floor of the house.

Title: Sounds so good, easy hookup
Review: I've owned past versions of this soundbar, but it wasn't till I tried a cheaper onn brand that I realized what cheap really is. It sounded poor, like a louder version of your TV speakers, and the bass was over the top, and one month after the warranty it crapped out. Which led me to this little gem. Looking for a replacement, this new model popped up, I read the reviews, and took the chance. I did go ahead and download the app first, booted it up before setting up the soundbar, and it's on a newer TV with the arc HDMI, so it worked seamlessly with a Roku TV. I know you can spend more, but it's in a small vaulted room, and still it sounds so much better. I like that it's not overly huge, the bass driver is small, tucked away under a desk, sounds great. Had it for a couple months, time will tell, my older version in the main house, has been rocking it for years.
