if your house is already wired, if your house is already wired, Recommend PBD passive antenna, if very close to the broadcast towers, if your house is already wired,

If you live near broadcast towers, it’s possible to overamplify or boost the signal too much and worsen reception, we recommend passive antenna.if your house is already wired,Put B07PHMSTFF into Amazon search box for PBD passive antenna.

Recommended to be mounted 30 feet above the ground

NOTE: Cable channels are not available using the antenna, like ESPN.

Many antennas on the market are optimized to receive only UHF broadcasts and do not reliably receive VHF. All PBD TV antennas are precision-tuned to receive both UHF and VHF frequencies and will provide you with the most HD content.Generally, the higher the antenna is above the ground, the better it performs. The amount and quality of the channels you receive will depend on the following:
Channels being broadcast in your area Broadcast tower locations Strength of the broadcast signals Line of sight and environmental terrain

weather bootweather boot

To protect your house and your TV installation, your antenna system must be properly grounded.

1, Clamp a#10 copper or #8 aluminum grounding wire to the base of the antenna mast. Using stand-offs every 1.2m to 1.8m /4 to 6 feet, run the wire down the building in as straight a line as possible.

2, Attach a 300-Ohm static discharge unit (lightning arrestor) or a 75-Ohm grounding block to the antenna’s lead-in cable as close as possible to the point where the cable enters the house.

3, Attach the grounding wire to the lead-in cable’s grounding unit and run the wire to the central building ground.

Acceptable central building ground points may include:

Grounded interior metal cold water pipe within 1.5m/ 5 feet of the point where it enters the building Grounded metallic service raceway

Grounded electrical service equipment enclosure

2.4m / 8foot grounding rod driven into the ground (only if bonded to the central building ground by #6 or heavier bonding wire)

Other acceptable electrodes that comply with the sections 250 and 810 of the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Note: TV signal reception is immensely affected by the conditions such as antenna height, terrain, distance from broadcasting transmission antenna and output power of transmitter. Channels you can watch may vary depending on these conditions.

Please check the TV's manual to make sure the TV has a built-in tuner for receiving over-the-air broadcast

NOTE: BEFORE YOU BUY:

find channels that works in your area:

dtv.gov/maps is run by the Consumer Electronics Association and the National Association of Broadcasters. The interface hasn’t changed in over a decade, but it’s simple and the information is useful.TVFool is more complex but gives a lot more detail including gorgeous plots of theoretical signal strength and where the broadcast towers are located.

And if you’re looking for a cable-style TV schedule, "TitanTV" is a free Web service that lists local programming.

Please Note:

1. For flatscreen HDTVs, please check the TV's manual to make sure the TV has a built-in tuner for receiving over-the-air broadcast, and make sure this tuner can receive HD signals or else it will not be able to receive and watch HD channels.

2.Retune your TV and/or digital box from time to time to ensure you are receiving all available services. Retuning takes only a few minutes using the remote control.

3.Antenna signal strength can vary depending on distance from the tower, terrain, and weather. Reposition the antenna in a different location if needed. It is best for the antenna to be in line of sight with the TV tower(s) and avoid obstructions. Always re-scan for channels after moving the antenna.

4. If your TV has no built-in tuner, you can add an ATSC digital converter box to receive the HD signal.

Title: I recommend this antenna.
Review: Reception is good, quality is good,it’s very lightweight and small and easy to install straightforward takes about 30 minutes to put it together and 30 minutes to go up on the roof and screw it on and another 30 minutes to button down the cable but it’s worth it and it is very lightweight compact and it does exactly what it says. If you just follow the instructions and you can go online and scan a barcode and I’ll give you a little video or two Videos to help you put it together and install it. I highly recommend buying this antenna. It’s worth the 50 bucks and you just have to follow instructions do what it says, it says to use the cable from the antenna to the power box and then from there if you want to split it off the other TVs after the cable box, that’s where you split it off, so if you can follow those instructions and do that it’ll work perfectly. So I come in to the first TV, which hopefully is only 30 to 50 feet away from the antenna because you wanna make sure that The cable they supply is long enough to go from the antenna to your box and then you go to your first TV and then we split it after the box and then go back outside and over the house for example to the other TVs or out of the house, and then through the attic, tell ever you wanna run the cable to your subsequent TVs. But I was pleasantly surprised that it worked so good albeit I do have it on the chimney of the second story and so I have a pretty good shot 40 miles away towards all of the sanding towers in Los Angeles. When you open the box you’re kind of overwhelmed because there is a bunch of parts and it’s all completely apart and you have to click in 6 to 8 of those little Stick like Parts But if you follow directions watch the video you’ll have it put together in 15to 30 minutes and when I say 30 minutes that’s at the very longest that it will take. And the same thing with put it up on the roof it’ll probably only take you 20 minutes, but I wrote down 30 minutes and that’s at the very longest it won’t take any longer than that and then, when you button down the cable, it should only take you 10 minutes for that but at the very outside it will be 30 minutes so in an hour and a half you should be watching TV I was watching TV probably within 25 minutes but I had to go back and button down to Cable later.

Title: UHF and VHF Performance
Review: I was extremely impressed with the performance of this antenna for receiving both UHF and VHF TV signals. I use the antenna for camping locations that are usually in remote locations where it’s difficult to receive signals with the omnidirectional antenna on my camper. The assembly was easy and I mounted the antenna on a telescopic pole to make it portable at the campsite. The cost is well worth the purchase considering the performance of the system.

Title: Don't let the small size fool you
Review: This is a fantastic Digital TV antenna. It is made similar to the 1970's Winegard antennas, proving that "old school" technology can still work effectively. The PDB antenna is easily assembled and comes with a mounting plate and pole. Installation is also easy, the kit comes with coax cable, rotor, amplifier, control box and remote control for antenna positioning.I am able to pick up VHF and UHF channels as far away as 100 miles. (PDB offers an add-on UHF reflector 3942 to increase UHF reception)I tried several styles of digital antennas ; bowtie, circular, flat, none worked as well as the PBD.

Title: Works but cheap quality.
Review: Dish is 12.00 a month for local channels. That's gone now. Marysville, WA to Seattle transmitting towers, amazed the reception comes in good. Mounted 21 feet above the roof. 65 channels. Typical cheap quality in that price range. I did not want to spend more if no reception was available. I Secured with stainless clamps, bolts and nuts instead of the supplied cheap garbage that I see rusting and failing. Bought better quality rg-6 cable. I Drilled another hole and bolted the antenna to the mast better along with the clamp that I see that would have broken in a strong wind. If it breaks and falls off my roof the next antenna will be a lot better quality along with more cost because I do get reception with this cheap antenna. I think the trick here is getting it as high as you can off the ground, the better the reception you will get. No trees in my way. I don't know about an attic installation but in my living room I did get 17 channels with it on my couch for testing purposes. I wanted more so I went a lot higher. It paid off. My overall advice, its cheap quality and it gets reception, but I'm expecting it to break in the wind. Good luck.

Title: Best one for me so far.
Review: My 8th antenna over the 30 yrs at my house. This thing picks up the most channels by far. It's not very robust but it works well. 64 channels in St. Johns county aimed towards Jax. Can even pick up more if aimed south towards Daytona. It feeds 3 tv's in my house with no problems.
