Title: "Dance, Dance, Dance (The Best Of Chic)".....Chic.....1991 Atlantic Recording Corporation
Review: I rec'd this album on May 14, 2015, from Amazon.com. It is GREAT to hear ALL of these songs, again. And they were released in the order that these songs came out.I was happy that MOST of these songs were the 12' Extended versions, which I remembered when they were ORIGINALLY out.My ONLY complaint is that "Soup For One" is listed as 7 min & 58 seconds, on my CD. BUT the version incl., here is ONLY 3 min. & 6 seconds. I would have rather had the EXTENDED version of "Soup For One", rather than the INSTR. song "Savoir Faire". being included. Most of these songs cover a LITTLE bit of 1977, but ESP,. the years, 1978 & 1979. Although, I've heard "My Forbidden Lover" before, I've NEVER heard "My Feet Keep Dancing", UNTIL May of 1980... when "My Forbidden Lover" PROMPTED me to buy the "Risque" album. And "Soup For One" was a hit single in 1982 & it also comes from from the 1982 movie soundtrack, called "Soup For One". Chic appears TWO more times, on THIS soundtrack, w/ their 1979 hit single, "I Want Your Love" & a cute INSTR. song called, "Tavern On The Green".This album CD is very enjoyable & it's Jam Packed w/ memories.. And it's also HIGHLY recommended...

Title: Chic/ Timeless, endless, sounds for the ear, the mind, and soul
Review: Not only did this Band have a great sound, they knew how to dress. They came fly as you can see and the women held their own. Now tell me where you can find good music performed by people who also knew how to dress. Their image reflected the sound of their music. Hey Im still a suite and tie guy because of the influance I got from this group. $2,500 custom cut suites, $250 tie and corners and $1,000 Gators for me.No jeans hanging off my rea end and I can knot it up 67 days out of a 365 day year without a repeat.

Title: Fine compilation from an essential disco band
Review: This collection contains some really superb tunes from the height of the disco era. Even music fans who cringe at the thought of some of the more outlandish songs from that time period may have to admit that Chic was producing some very high quality material that transcended the genre. I am only giving this compilation four stars because the sound quality is disappointingly thin and weak. This may be due to limitations in the original recordings.

Title: CHIC... THE BEST OF
Review: This Cd is GREAT! There are so many hits that you can dance all night off this Cd. many of the songs are the extended 12 inch versions to add to your listening pleasure! This is a nice stroll down 70's memory lane when disco was hot. Some of the hit Chic songs on the cd are DANCE ..DANCE.DANCE, EVERYBODY DANCE, CHIC CHEER, LE FREAK, I WANT YOUR LOVE, GOOD TIMES, MY FEET KEEP DANCING, SAVOIR FAIRE..AMONG OTHERS! Chic was smoldering hot, and this was a nice addition to my old school ,music collection! Worth the money!

Title: ONE OF THE BEST GROUPS EVER!
Review: Chic is the one musical group that has transcended Disco. While I danced my ass off to them in the late '70's I still do in 2019 because every tune is a timeless classic. Soul, blues and jazz has always been the basis for rock and roll and Chic is the epitome of it all. And this album contains their best.

Title: Poor sound quality
Review: The quality of the recording is poor. Sound like a cassette tape. I like the music, I grew up with disco music and this group has good songs.

Title: The Best of CHIC
Review: Of all of the CD's I've purchased recently, this one by far is at the top, great music with extra long play on most tracks and not shorten up in any sense of the word, really enjoy listening to while in the garage working.

Review: I picked this up on Amazon for about $5. It has all the big hits in their album (extended versions). While the singles versions (edited shorter for radio) would be fine with me, sometimes they edit out the best parts. I was worried that the songs would be too long for me to want to listen to them but the band grooves so well that I want to keep listening and it doesn't feel like the songs are so long. The sound of the CD is very good but it's not a modern remastering. Chic also has other hits CD's, including double CD sets and more recent and remastered ones. For $5 this was a great bargain.Cheers!

Review: Well worth buying for the 12" versions it includes, this is an excellent compilation of Chic's best and most familiar output. When these discs were first released, the concept of dance - certainly in heterosexual clubs - was often much less fervoured and intense than it has now become and breaking into a sweat as a female dancer, unless having a go at Northern Soul, would mark you out as some kind of pariah. Ah, them were the days....Many will remember the 12" dance track with fondness. But how many stayed the course? Well I remember the dance floor emptying as Chic tunes soared beyond the three minute comfort zone. This is great music, at times even sublime music that defined at least one significant part of an age and music that has stood the test of time. Better still, since the recent great Nile Rodgers' revival, Chic need no longer be anyone's guilty pleasure. My favourite track is without doubt the instrumental Savoir Faire - I wish this was a 12"! But a similar effect can be gained by hitting repeat.....
