She thinks our story is over. It’s just beginning.

Lennon Washington has been the star of every dream, every nightmare, since the day I lost her. Since the moment I let my demons win and she slipped through my fingers.

Her memory has haunted me. Changed me. Broken me and remade me. And I’d all but given up on us.

Now tragedy has brought her back into my life. My secrets are at her disposal. Hers are unraveling quickly. And every emotion we’ve tried to deny is returning with a vengeance.

But we’re not kids anymore. We have changed drastically. And with each new ache, I start to wonder...

Is there a place for us in this life, or will we have to try again in the next one?

***

This Life and All the Rest is the conclusion to the Next Life Duet. It has a guaranteed HEA. It is necessary to listen to book one, The Love of My Next Life, before listening to this one.

Title: perfect ending
Review: This was the perfect ending for these two. Yet again this was a story full of heartache, love and self discovery. I loved it!

Title: Good read!
Review: This was a good series, different plot, unique. It was sad, a lot of it was sad but it was also happy. My complaint would be the “steamy” scenes…. At one point I just kept flipping through the pages trying to get to the end of it and was just shocked how many pages I had to skip to move on to the story. But other than that I enjoyed, and I recommend you read the first book before this one!

Title: A perfect conclusion
Review: Fair warning.. this one has A LOT of angst and turmoil with a couple of potential major triggers, so proceed with caution. That being said, I absolutely loved this duet. The character development is fantastic, the story line keeps you wanting more, and there is just the right amount of spice.Workout giving anything away.. I'm also super glad that the FMC didn't forgive and forget at the end as most authors would've done to have a "clean slate." I like that the character in question has to work for it.Highly recommend this duet!

Title: Darling and beautifully done. 4.5🌟 on Rom Book Scale
Review: I have read so many romance novels, and I can’t tell you how excited I was to read this duets, where I didn’t have to feel the need to mark it up and edit as I read. My notes were all praise.Lennon and Macin, their story is authentic and organic. That is harder than you think it is if you read around. There is no heavy internal dialogue that drains the narrative. Nor is the dialogue isn’t distracting, it fits who they are when they are who they are. The author did not double speak to often as well. Where something is expressed through dialogue, and then an internal dialogue; she didn’t do that in excess, which a lot of writers unfortunately do.Side characters got their moments, nothing felt like it was thrown in just to be inserted in the relationship. And there wasn’t an overly sappy ending. I’m glad I took the plunge and read these to books. They are now in my top-five romance novels. Thank you for their beautiful story!

Title: This book is pure PERFECTION!
Review: “My hand rubs at the small scars on my thigh, healed now, but forever reminding me of just how low I can fall.I don’t know how I’m going to last much longer.”I don’t really know how to properly convey my feelings about this book, so be warned there are a lot of enthusiastic adjectives, exclamation points, and synonyms for perfect coming up.It’s been almost a week since I read This Life and All the Rest, and I’m still stuck deep inside Macon and Lennon’s world. I love it here and I don’t think I ever want to leave. The beautiful way their story is written is just so damn phenomenal! The end of the first book in this duet, The Love of My Next Life, left readers sitting on the edge of a giant cliff. Brit promised that she would fix things and give Macon and Lennon the happily ever after they deserved and boy, did she deliver! She told their imperfect story so perfectly….the only thing I would change is that I would never let it end. The story of Macon and Lennon is still bumpy and at times painful but the growth and healing that takes place for each character is absolutely next level! There is a time jump four years into the future, but we also get to see what happened during the in-between years as well as gain more insight into what the characters were thinking and feeling during some of their toughest moments in the past.“I don’t know what it is about my left side, but it seems to take the bulk of my abuse. The wrist, the leg, the sleeve of tattoos. The heart.”Macon, oh love of my life Macon, has evolved into the absolute ideal of a human being that I always knew he had inside. The calmness and maturity he now has combined with his badass boyish self to make a lethally heart-melting man.“The core of me wants to be next to him, regardless of logic and lessons learned.Lennon will always want Macon. That’s why I can’t be her anymore.”And Lennon, the true definition of a Phoenix, rising from the ashes and becoming a far stronger, more confident, capable version of herself. But will she be able to stop running long enough to see what is in front of her?In addition to Macon and Lennon, the other characters and the relationships between everyone that are explored in the book are also extraordinary! Casper, Sam and daddy Trent are all such beautiful souls and so important to the healing journey of this book. I could read about all of them forever!I am not exaggerating when I say that I highlighted page after page after page of this book. It is so incredibly written. It pulls you in from the first page and weaves its spell around you until the very end. And the bonus content had me literally sobbing my face off. Although, that happened A LOT with this book, in the best possible way. This Life and All the Rest, as well as the first book in the duet, The Love of My Next Life, are easily top reads for this year and honestly forever!! Please read these books and go on this unforgettable journey, I promise you won’t regret it!“It’s for you, I confess, and she stills. “Because I was homesick for you. Because the only decision I’ve ever made in this life that I’m sure of was being selfish for you.”

Review: “We are exactly who we’re supposed to be when we’re together.” — The Love of My Next Life by Brit BensonI’m not even sure where to start with this duet. It was just perfect and I couldn’t put it down. I loved everything about it and Macon & Lennon will forever have a place in my heart.I am very happy that I was able to read this duet back-to-back lol I don’t know how those of you who read it before the second book came out survived the ending of book 1 😂 that would have driven me insane but my goodness was it perfect. And then book 2 😮‍💨 Brit, you really know how to punch a girl in the heart I’ll tell you that.If you haven’t read this duet yet, do yourself a favour and get on it! it’s so so good and you’ll love Macon & Lebanon’s story. Now I have to (not so) patiently wait for Sam’s story 👀

Review: This is the final book of the duet of Macon and Lennon, and it was such a twisted ride to their chase. The angst and the emotion ran high through out the book. I was mad at few of them for the things they had to unnecessarily go through but sometimes we learn and grow only when we make mistakes even if it was unnecessary. The secret or twist at the end had me tearful, the mini flashbacks to the most down time of their lives, their jagged pieces that they soothe and heal separately and then together ties this book in a tearful but happy way.

Review: A poignant point to always protect yourself against you're own naivety, immaturity, and those closest to you into thinking they mean you well just because you are that way inclined.Do however love fiercely and be vulnerable to better understand the moment before it passes with time wasted.Beautifully written.

Review: So I hate miscommunication, probably one of my least favorite tropes. However, I will say it was a good/entertaining book, and if you're in to miscommunication, you'll probably love these books. At least we get a happy ending.
