Fresh Chios Mastiha Tears Gum Greek 100% Natural Mastic - Gathered From The Mastic Growers Of Chios Island. It comes from the mastic tree that only grows in the island of Chios and it is hand-cleaned piece by piece by mastic growers. Its unique properties are unique and recognized all around the world in the scientific community.
In summer time the mastic tears may be stuck together due to high temperatures during shipping, just place them in a cold place and they will get back to their hard former state. Mastic should be preserved either in a fridge or a cool place that will not exceed 64 οF or 18 οC. If it is placed in a warm place it becomes soft stick together or it turn into liquid form.
If the mastic sticks together and becomes one block, you can place it in the freezer for a few hours and brake it into smaller pieces. You can get the mastic back and forth between the two states (hard and soft) as many time as you like and it will not go bad in any way or lose any of its properties. Mastic gum is originally a liquid resin that comes out of the mastic tree and then it hardens with time.
As time passes mastiha turns yellowish and hardens due to oxidation but never loses its beneficial properties. If you keep it in a cold place and air tight, this process slows down. The taste might be a little bitter at the beginning but after a little time it relishes it unique taste and aroma!
Scientific research shows that Chios Mastiha has many beneficial attributes for both body hygiene and skin care. Also it can be grinded into powder and be used in cooking!

Title: I have been looking for this texture for so long
Review: Ok there is a learning curved to this for sure. The first few pieces I put in my mouth were sticking to my molars and I thought oh no what have I done. So bright idea why not try some more. I figured I just needed more to grab onto to pry out of my teeth. Well, what do you know that was the solution. I chew up a few more tears and got the best gum texture I have been looking for. It is harder than most gum ( since it isnât modern gum) and provides a long satisfying chew. I wish I would have found this when I quite smoking years ago. Would have been great for the cravings. But I still enjoy a good chew and this has it. At lightly earthy, piney taste but I like it and itâs not overwhelming. If you liked chewing on wax lips as a kid like I did, this is like an upgraded version. I will buy more in the future. It is a small bag for the price but I looked around and itâs a comparable price to all the others I found.

Title: I'll write a legitimate review for this product
Review: I'll write a legitimate review here, because this is quite a cool product, and I quite enjoy its use.I learned from other reviewers that this product is sap from a tree which is grown in Greece. And that this sap is covered in sand is a testament to its traditional technique of collection--the sap drips from the tree onto the sand, and then the sap is collected from the sand. It feels historic and unique and natural to me, which I enjoy a lot.The first thing I did was popped about 3 pieces in my mouth, it was making a nice gum in my mouth as I moved it around, but it seemed a bit foamy, it didn't seem right. Ah--on the package it says to rinse each drop with water before using.Next I tried just two pieces--being conservative. With this amount, it didn't make as good of a gum in my mouth, but it was okay. I actually laid down and stopped chewing the gum for a while--this was a real mistake. The gum became hard again, and it was all broken up into many tiny pieces. After a while, I realized my tongue and mouth felt like they have many tiny cuts in them. Sure enough, those tiny pieces must be very sharp when they harden in this way, because my tongue and mouth were totally cut up. It took about 2-3 days to heal. This of course was annoying, but anyway I got some insight into what's going on in my mouth because of the pain from every movement.Next, I decided 4-5 pieces would be ideal, and it is. This quickly creates a good gum from the hard pieces, and I can chew it to good effect. Good flavor, and a good feeling in your digestive system. I saw that this gum does not "go bad", so I kept it inside of a folded notecard and chewed it for a while everyday. Then, it became a bit brown-colored, and I got 4-5 new pieces. Now, I am sure to spread the gum out in my mouth, and I actually use my bedroom fan to dry the gum off well, then stick it in my notecard. I also floss and brush my teeth before I chew the mastic gum. This surely greatly helps to reduce any bacteria-attracting content from being on the gum while I keep it in my folded notecard.Now--about the chewing.WARNING: The "TMJ" is known to be "the most complicated joint in the body". Not only complicated, it is delicate. And it is a very important part of your face. You don't want to be foolish or forceful when it comes to the act of chewing a tough gum to try to gain muscle, coordination, and better alignment in your teeth, mandible/maxilla, face, etc. Now, I don't really waste much time just chewing casually. I look in the mirror. Analyze my bite to see what I want to try to improve. Then I chew in the mirror, lightly editing my jaw movements, etc. to improve my bite overtime. If I were to do anything too forceful, I would feel a sharp pain in my TMJ from things being too out of alignment. There are a lot of muscles in your face, and there are many which are involved in a basic chewing motion. It is of course quite fascinating. I've found medical resources and 3D models to be the most efficient way to learn about anatomy.Before--when I was just casually chewing for an hour or so everyday, my right-side chewing muscles became so sore in a way that made me decide to not chew the gum again until it felt totally healed. Surely this would occur because of of alignment issues and muscle weakness, so I think it is the best choice for me, to stick to brief and intentional sections of challenging chewing to encourage my face to grow in better and stronger alignment.I appreciate this product. Cheers!

Title: A Most Extraordinary Substance
Review: As far as I am concerned, this gum is one of the most amazing, mystical, magical substances on earth. My upper molar was traumatized by the install of an unfortunate, ill-fitting crown on my lower molar. While adjustments can grind away what is proud, they can not put back what is needed for support. And despite multiple crown adjustments, some of which initially seemed to help, my upper teeth kept shifting, raising havoc and were sensitive to the lightest tap. In my studies, I learned that that osteoporosis tends to show up in the jaw first, 10 years ahead of the rest of the body. When I changed my paradigm from overly protecting my worn teeth to chewing this amazing gum to improve the circulation to my teeth and build bone, the reduction in what had been chronic and prolonged pain/swelling was immediate. I have an overbite which translates into some of my teeth having to take on more than their fair share while other do not get sufficient loaded and have lost their enamel. This gum allows me to load/exercise every single tooth safely and to improve my ability to chew on either side of my mouth. I had previously favored chewing on the left side. This past year, I have spent a couple of thousand dollars in my quest to save my teeth. This little bag of mastic gum was one of my best investments along with a Oratec Viajet Pro Waterpick which helped strengthened and healed my tender gums. While the bag is small, and the gum tears are small, I have found that 2-3 tears makes for a sizeable piece of gum that I chew on all week for about an hour a day with a few days off here and there to give my jaw/teeth a chance to rest and rebuild. Be sure to let the gum sit in your mouth for a bit to soften before starting to chew. Update: Since first writing this, I have had a few bad experiences with some of the pieces being too hard or too sticky posing a hazard resulting me in switching brands. I now useo Krinos Imported Mastic Gum which comes in a small 17 g or .6 oz jar. Krinos Mastic Gum has been consistently perfect and deserving 5 stars.

Title: Thereâs sticky tree sap all everywhere nowâ¦
Review: Edit- Iâm changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. I had to look up directions for how to chew this gum. You are supposed to warm it up in your mouth for a couple minutes before you start chewing. Wouldâve been 5 stars but annoyed at the mess itâs made and that this should really be pointed out somewhere. BUT THE GUM WORKS!I shouldâve listened to the review from the person saying that it was literally impossible to chew. It completely sticks to your teeth with every chew and took a good 20 minutes to get it all off, then it proceeded to get stuck on my fingers and itâs stuck on pretty good see in the grooves of my fingerprints. 10 minutes later Iâm finding this s*** in my leg hairs and somehow on the inside of my shirt and it absolutely wonât come off, Iâve been trying with isopropyl alcohol. $14 down the drain, how do people use this ish?? Iâm planning on offering some to a coworker I donât like

Review: Seeing as thereâs no added sugar it does taste slightly like soap and herbs, however the taste fades after a while. Make sure to rinse the pieces before you chew them so it doesnât stick to your teeth.

Review: This was my first ever Mastic gum purchase. The sizes of the tears being advertised as Medium may be a bit exaggerative considering about half my bag was small tears. The bag itself was pretty small - I should have looked into the size more. The texture per tear really varies, by that I mean some will be good - tough and chewable right away, some will be rock hard and crumble but with saliva will form its stickiness, and some will turn to dust but again with saliva eventually gather with the chunk of tear in your mouth.Flavor for me isn't a big deal, this product in particular didn't really have much flavour - a very faint taste of the resin which I really enjoyed the taste. You can chew this for hours and it won't go bad, people actually promote rechwing but I'm not sure I'm there just yet.Something great about this though is that after I finish chewing for 1-2 hours (not sure if that's excessive or too little of time), I swallow the gum and immediately my acid reflux / heartburn goes away. It's great to read and learn about Greece tradition with the Island of Chios while enjoying a few tears to chew on.

Review: I bought it to work out my intestines and turn out itâs not for chewing at all because it got stuck in my teeth should I throw them out or ask for my money. The other ones I bought from another place were okay because theyâre chewable and good guts workout. I paid for it itâs still a lot of money I donât know why theyâre not for chewing if I canât chew them what more is there to with them thatâs all I see then as lol i donât know about them medicinal benefits because itâs still a gum.

Review: Ive been chewing it for a week now. I like it. The flavour is subtle but long lasting. If you're uncertain of what to expect flavour wise, id compare it to Pine, Cedar, and a hint of licorice. Somehow I also want to say there is a cilantro type thing going on here too. Is mostly pine and cedar though.I've been chewing the piece in my mouth now for an hour and a half, and will probably continue for another hour or two. Good texture, it compels you to keep biting down. Can take some time to work into a wad of chewable gum. If it seems sticky work it into a good texture by chewing with your front teeth - quickly to minize context with teeth.

Review: I love this product! I've repurchased it the second I ran out and I will continue to do so. Great value for the price. the resin does tend to stick together so don't keep it in direct sunlight or in very humid environments. Depending on your individual need, mastic gum can be chewed as gum or used in powders, tinctures, and capsules. I have tried all the different ways but chewing it as gum remains my favourite. It improved my digestion and oral health, and apparently it also has some liver benefits.
Customers say
Customers are satisfied with the chewing gum's digestion and functionality. However, some customers have reported that it's very sticky, not worth the price, and has a small portion size. Opinions are mixed on the taste, quality, and softness.
