Title: Unsound Of Music
Review: Family Affair: Season Three I like this episode about Buffy wanted to get in a Glee Club at school, but Buffy sang horrible. It is so funny. Buffy is so cute that she wanted to be in everything. Before the music teacher came in the classroom,Jody wanted to know the ugly sound that Buffy made. She was humming. It sounded like a puppy whimpering. Funny. I don't blame Jody that Buffy can't sing. I saw Jody quinces his face of Buffy's bad singing. So funny. It was sad that Buffy's teacher said she wouldn't be in the Glee Club. Uncle Bill's lady friend is a professional singer taught Buffy to sing, but still a no-go for Buffy.Jody tried to cheer Buffy up at school on her bad singing,so Jody helped her out on singing to her the right way. But instead the music teacher came out & asked Jody in The Glee Club. It broke Buffy's heart that she was replaced by Jody. But she was happy to a music teacher turning a page on the book at the Parents Night at school. Jody did good of singing. He's like a Yankee Doodle Dandy Boy. Way to go Jody!!!!!g

Title: Delightful family entertainment
Review: These DVDS easily live up to nostalgic expectations. If you're looking for charming, non-violent, sweet story-telling entertainment, these episodes will comfort and delight. Good, wholesome family viewing with simple lessons that stand up over time. Buffy steals the show!

Title: Classic nostalgia.
Review: I grew up with this show. So being able to have it on DVD so that I can watch it at any time I want is great. Television back then was different from today. Better in every way. And that was because of the censorships in place at the time. Everything was based on love and family values. Every show told a story and had a moral to it. It had to teach something. Family unity was promoted highly and it was a place you could turn to to see what life could be like. And it was these lessons that I would use as guidelines in the raising of my own children. I was no uncle Bill, but at least I tried.

Title: Nostalgic but Don't Like as Well as I Did
Review: I watched at least some of this as a kid, but it's doubtful I started with the first show as it's too old. I had memories of all the characters, but didn't remember where the kids came from. I didn't recognize any of these episodes, and don't remember there ever being another gentlemen's gentlemen except Mr. French.I loved this show when I was a kid. It doesn't seem as good to me now. Cissy is kind of weird, the twins are cute in one way but also kind of weird in another (especially Jody). Someone else's review said Brian Keith was not a good pick for Uncle Bill as they'd mostly seen him in "rough men" roles so this seemed out of place, but I've never seen him in anything else, so he seems appropriate to me. He did get better as the season went along, but the character also got better at being a parent as well. Sebastian Cabot is perfect for French. The three kids I don't like as well, but props for getting two small kids who look like they could be twins, and who can pull off the roles at that age.The three kids are almost too good. They do stuff wrong, but then accept their punishment readily, or even flat out say they're probably going to get punished. I do feel a bit sorry for them with Mr. French expecting them to behave, dress and eat like rich proper British kids. Cissy has her share of screw-ups, but it seems to always turn out that Uncle Bill was right all along and she learns a lesson. I'm sure I would have been upset if my mother had always been right! It's also a little fake that Uncle Bill deals with things so well; he messes up too but always solves it. He's amazingly calm, and good for him that he can solve things without spanking or anything. And French handles them well, if sometimes a bit overly strict imo.(I do wonder why there are so many writing about Season 3 when this is Season 1. I'm not sure if the reviewers are mixed up, or if Amazon was screwing up.)

Title: Uncle/Father Knows Best
Review: The cast of four, with Brian Keith as the head of household, Sebastian Cabot as the household coordinator, Kathy Garver, Anissa Jones, and Johnnie Whitaker as the children, have again won the hearts of those who delight in seeing proper etiquette and moral stability coming from a television show. In this not so traditional family setting, we are helped in remembering what our social responsibilities are to one another. It reminds me of the stories told in Sunday school that we pattern our lives from: they were meanful, motivative, and interesting, but were less remembered after the weathering of time. Seeing these episodes again brought back some fond childhood memories of television viewing.

Title: Our Family Falling for this Family Again!
Review: My husband and I enjoyed this series as children when it originally aired. I am so grateful for my teenage kids to get a chance to have an appreciation for this series also. It is good, clean, wholesome entertainment that will make you laugh and cry! In a different setting, it can be compared to "Little House on the Prairie". Be sure to give it a chance--my kids love Spiderman, X-Men, Lord of the Rings, Signs, Etc. movies but they still are hooked on this series too! We're glad to have Seasons 1, 2 and 3 and look forward to Season 4!

Title: Almost Timeless
Review: The fashions have changed immensely, but these Family Affair stories of half a century still hold up. There's a constant wistful quality to the shows and their gentle humor. Would make good viewing with today's children in search of warmth and a message.
