Title: Well made but not so great
Review: This maze looked great since they may hold up better than others we've purchased but they're hard to fill. The pellet area is slim so we have to put a pan under the maze to catch the overflow of pellets. With the distance between the troves is wider, other sections don't catch fire as easy. So in the long run, we will probably go back to our old standby maze.

Title: does not burn around the maze!
Review: was really looking for that longer burn time from this smoke generator to prevent the refill and relighting process. 2hrs into my salmon smoke i found that my smoke box was billowing smoke and come to find out the smolder wasn't going around the maze it was burning thru the walls so at this point the smolder line was all the way across the 7" diameter of the hex design. way to much smoke in to short of time.when i unboxed this item the first thing i noticed was the size of the screen material, is smaller and tighter than my other generator i use. don't know if this has anything to do with the way it worked or if it was something else. this is what i found with this product.

Title: This thing works better than I ever thought it could!
Review: I have only used "chipped wood" and not pellets. The pellets may be even better I just haven't tried pellets yet. I typically have two of these going at a time. Soak them in water for a while and just put them on top of or (if they fit and stay) in between the heat plates. Soaking is important or the wood burns off very quickly. AMAZINGLY effective! If anyone misses genuine wood smoke flavor they can have it With these simple Devices.

Title: Works great w/sawdust
Review: This cold smoke generator works great with sawdust. Of course I donât buy sawdust; get wood pellets and put in a pan with water so theyâll dissolve and let them dry out and mash em up a bit. Before you use, make sure sawdust is good and dry so it will light easily. You can put on a paper plate in the microwave for a minute or so, pack tight and use kitchen matches or heat gun to get it started. Cover the end youâre lighting with heat gun so the particles donât blow out. Fill the maze in the pan with the dissolved pellets. Burns for hours depending on how tightly packed and type wood.

Review: Ich habe einen Räucherschrank 60x40x180.Anfangs war ich skeptisch, ob es ausreichend ist. Aber ja.Wenn man es an einer Ecke anzündet, reicht es ca 10-12 Stunden und macht macht soviel Rauch, dass es bei 2/3 geschlossenen Zug (130er) den Raum schön flutet. Temperatur bleibt wie es soll kalt. Nie über 20 Grad bei AuÃentemperatur um 10-15 Grad.Weil man mehr Rauch und zündet beide Enden an, reicht es 4-6 Stunden. Hier dann 1/3 geschlossen, damit mehr Durchzug. Ordentlich Rauch.Mittlerweile mache ich drei Durchgänge über Nacht. Erster mit zwei angezündeten Enden und die zwei nachfolgenden mit einem.Damit die Späne nicht durchfallen lege ich eine kleine Schicht 500er Späne rein und fülle dann mit Mehl 1000/2000 auf und drücke es leicht an.Sehr nützliches Hilfsmittel was eigentl keinen Fehler mehr zulässt.Ergebnis passt.Zum Anzünden ein Spritzer Spiritus (paar Tropfen am Anfang) reichen aus.
