Title: Good fidelity and clean pressing on the LP.
Review: I sent another one of this album back some months ago because of the pressing being really noisy. For this kind of money you should get a clean pressing. The record companies can produce clean pressings if they want to. There's no excuse for dirty pressings. This LP 1/2 speed master is clean, or at least mine is. The fidelity is very much like the CD.I'm keeping this LP.

Title: Unbelievably wonderful sounding remastering! Revelatory!
Review: I am an audiophile and am therefore very interested in quality sound. Who's Next is clearly one of the greatest rock albums. Period. Every song is a winner and the guys seem to be having a blast performing them. I have the original vinyl release. Although I would listen to it once and again, I would bemoan the gritty texture and upper midrange glaze and muddy bass. This half-speed vinyl mastering is the album I wished I had always had. The music is now texturally smooth. Each piano note or guitar pluck is clean and clear. There are minor instrumental details that I've never heard before. The dynamic presentation allows the music to leap out of the speakers. And, yes, there are clearly defined bass lines and yes it's Keith Moon on the kit! WOW!A couple previous reviews were 1 stars. I can't imagine they were reviewing this half speed mastered, beautifully pressed black vinyl. A bit pricey? Yep. Worth twice the price!

Title: Should be called WHO’s Best!
Review: Hands down, this is my favorite WHO album. If you want great classic Rock and Roll this is the album for you. The half speed mastering puts this one on a whole other sonic level as well. You can’t go wrong with this album.

Title: Veiled Who
Review: Chocked, smothered, anemic—distant. The Who from row 500. These 1/2 speed masters generally are not successful and this one is a failure. Instead seek out. decent OG.

Title: You can hear a clear difference
Review: I have 7 vinyl copies of this album from different pressings going back to 1971, and this is a clear winner. I also have the Music on Vinyl version, which is awesome, but this half-speed mix brings out so much more of this album's depth. If anyone complains of muddiness, it might be a matter of needing some nob-fiddling on your system... or maybe it's the Moon & Entwistle effect. The Who sound is not something you'd call clear, crisp and pretty. Long Live Rock!

Title: Best version I’ve heard
Review: Who’s Next is an absolute classic, and a favorite among most Who devotees. This is the best version I’ve heard to date. I do wish it was a double 45 RPM release, however, This would really highlight dynamics and allow a deeper cut for better low end,

I always enjoy the polydor sound profile done right. Silent background, solid bassClear highs and good vocal clarity.HalfSpeed mastered at Abby Road studiosworth a few Xtra dollars for this one!Enjoy

Title: Sounds great
Review: I know half-speed masters divide listeners in their opinions, but so far with all the half-speeds the Who have released I have not been disappointed. They all sound amazing and clear to my ears and this one is no different. If you want to buy the record as a single disc version, I would go for this above the regular pressings.

Review: This easily beats the Classic LP version, which sounds muffled by comparison. Miles did an amazing job on cutting this lp on his newest lathe.

Pete should love it… I surely do!

Review: Who's next has always been one of my favourite albums and j already own multiple copies on CD and vinyl. This item arrived promptly but the record was slightly warped however the playing was not affected .The sound is crisp and clear but it's difficult to make comparisons with other versions until I've listened to it a few times. No problems with Amazon's serviceIf you've never heard this album you don't know what your missing, nothing else needs to be said.
