In 2016, 70% of college graduates exited school with student debt - equivalent to 43 million student loan borrowers. Together, these students carry over $1.4 trillion dollars in loans, which continues to grow at a rate of about $3,000 per second! The average 2017 graduate will leave school with over $37,000 in debt and an average payment of over $350 a month.

BYE Student Loan Debt was created by author Daniel J. Mendelson to tackle this epidemic. He and his wife accumulated nearly $150,000 in student loan debt through a combined 14 years of secondary education. By sticking to the principles outlined in this book, they eliminated this debt in just 5 years! This provided the inspiration to share their story so that others could follow the same steps they used to rapidly eliminate their debt. This interactive online book is linked to online calculator tools that when paired with the simple process outlined in the book, allow for a customized repayment solution.

If you or someone you know is saddled or soon to be saddled with this burden, BYE Student Loan Debt is the book for you! For those that are already in student loan debt, this book will show you the fundamentals of how to understand, manage and eventually eradicate your debt. For those yet to take out loans, the book will highlight the principles required to minimize your debt burden and prevent a lifetime of student loan payments. Within these chapters, you will learn to:

1) Organize your loan situation and set realistic goals

Title: Step by Step Book with Lots of Examples
Review: This book is great. It gives clear cut examples of how to get rid of student debt (and for that matter, it’s useful for ANY kind of debt). I’ve already given several copies out to friends and family members who I thought could benefit from reading it. It’s not overwhelming, like other books I’ve looked at, because it approaches the matter in a step-by-step manner, which I think comes naturally as it follows the steps the author took (including his missteps that he warns readers about). He also uses a lot of charts and graphs, which I found useful when trying to digest each scenario as it becomes more complex, with greater variables (changing interest rates, for example, or payoff timeline goals).Even if this book isn’t applicable to your student debt situation, it’s a fantastic book to give as a gift. There’s no greater gift to give than empowering your friends with the knowledge on how to end the vicious cycle of debt.

Title: Worth the Five Stars!
Review: Bye Student Loan Debt lays out a clear and easy method for how to pay back student loans that I have not seen anywhere else.If you don't fully understand your student loans or already have a purposeful strategy for repayment, then reading this book will likely save you thousands of dollars and put you in a better lifelong financial position. This book goes further than just explaining the student loans and tackling repayment strategies, and even talks about the difference between retirement accounts such as a 401k, IRA, Roth IRA, etc. In that sense, it's almost like a beginners guide to personal finance which would benefit everyone. This book is concise and easy to read. I would recommend this book to anyone who has student loans, or any parents of kids with student loans. It is an excellent investment!

Title: A quick read packed full of great advice on how to navigate through your student loans.
Review: A quick read packed full of great advice on how to navigate through your student loans. They provide an easy to understand step by step plan on how to implement these solutions in your life. Setting it up effectively requires some thought on your behalf, but if you do your due diligence it can lead you to a sense of financial freedom that seems to escape so many people for so long. I also like how they take it a step further and provide advice on how to set yourself up for continued financial success in the years following. Would definitely recommend for any student currently struggling with debt or for any student just starting out (because if they understand what they are getting into, hopefully it’ll help them make smarter decisions to set themselves up for success in the long run).

Title: Helped my son with his student loans
Review: My son had a very difficult time understanding how to manage his student loans when he graduated. I heard about this book from a friend who’s child had a similar problem but found the methods outlined in the book effective and productive. My son seems to have a much better grasp on his loans in the last few months and has been able to apply more towards the principal to lower his payoff window. Very satisfied with this book and would recommend to friends and others who are having a hard time seeing the END of student loans.
